Pigman is very budget conscious, and was open and honest on the costs of our high end finishes. If you're in the Bitterroot valley and looking for a spec. build or a custom design, I'd talk to Pigman first.

You get what you pay for. Looks nice on the outside but as we watched the construction every day…read morewe pointed out issues that they ignored until further into the build so previous work had to be redone. Windows were cheap, you can hear wind howling through. Load bearing porch beam was only sitting on 1/4 of its pier on one end of porch, the other end was supported only by the sheeting from the garage. Since my husband is in construction, we added additional supports after workers left. There are no braces in the floor so the floor bounces as you walk on it, but we'll go down into the crawlspace and add the 2' braces. Roof trusses had up to 1 1/2" gaps with the room framing which left the ceiling with a crack. Communication was so-so and there was no supervisor inspecting anything except a couple times during the build. You would think that since they knew my husband would be living on site, they'd take care to do things right the first. Fortunately we took pictures during each stage to document issues. I feel sorry for the buyers who don't get to see the bones of their house. Really sorry we used this builder. We've now lived in the home for a year. At least it's insulated well.

General: I work in a local lumber/hardware store. Last winter I was asked by a customer who to…read morecall, because his furnace wasn't doing its only trick, which is making your house comfortably warm. As usual, I strongly suggested All Valley Heating, from personal experience and previous customer feedback! A few days later, he came in to thank me for my recommendation: "They came out right away, they diagnosed and fixed the problem, and their bill was VERY reasonable." Personal: Two years ago, my blower died in December, so I called All Valley and James came out right away and replaced it. Ahh, heat again! And just TONIGHT, with temps dropping and snow falling, my furnace once more refused to work. So I called the after-hours number, and Anthony called me back. He walked me through the trouble-shooting, and told me exactly how much an emergency service call would cost, for him to come out and replace the digital thermostat. (Since I can buy a new one tomorrow at work, that's what I'll do.) Best of all, I cleaned all the contacts on the old thermostat, and now it's working well enough that my house is nice and warm. THANK YOU, ALL VALLEY HEATING!
