I got locked out of my car and was waiting for my roadside assistance to come and help me. I was beyond stranded and after over an hour of waiting for my insurance to figure things out I took things into my own hands and even though it was almost 7:00 and I figured I had no chance I called Cooney's and in less than 5 minutes literally he was there and got me into my vehicle and back on the road! This is not the only time that Cooney's has saved my butt . I have been helped by him on two separate occasions and those occasions were just as quick and convenient. I definitely recommend giving them a call for not only saving you if you're locked out of something but I've gone in on numerous occasions to get keys made and it was always quick and convenient as well. They have always been professional, polite, and done a wonderful job taking care of my needs.

Called three times over a period of two weeks and was told I would get a call back the same day for when a tech could come out. I never got a call back but the fourth time I called a tech was sent over right away. I told the lady on the phone I needed a broken key removed from the lock of my van and a copy of the key made. The tech gets the key out of the lock, tells me he can't cut a key out of his van (unlike any other locksmith I've ever worked with) and that he's going to charge me $70 for half the job I said I needed done. After telling him I'm not going to pay him that for not doing the whole job, he proceeds to draft an invoice and call the front desk to READ MY CARD INFO IN FULL OVER THE PHONE TO PROCESS PAYMENT. After I interjected with my issue, she agreed to cut a key for me and we would pick it up from their shop. The charge then bumped up to $80 and the key didn't even work. These guys suck! I took my car to them to get my ignition fixed because I had a broken key inside of it and needed it to get fixed so we called the Chevy dealership and they told us to go to these guys so what do we do? We go to them. Well we take my car there because we got told how awesome these guys are and what not. Well for one it took them not even 15 minutes to fix my ignition and when they were fixing it they didn't unhook my battery like they should have and killed my battery so we had to go and get a new one and then when I was getting ready to leave there parking lot my power steering was all messed up so I couldn't move my car. Also I live in deer lodge so I was traveling and trusting these people with my car. So we left my car there and we called them the next day and told them what was going on and they blamed us for the power steering problem when it was them! Well then we try and call them we get ahold of them and they tell us we will call you back. They never called us back the 100 times they told us they would we had to call them each time! Well then I ordered a key fob through them and it's been a minute so we called and asked if they had it they said no and they will call us when it's there so we said ok and hung up. Well then we get a call back and the guy said we have your fob it was just barried so we didn't know we had it. You guys could have had this all done if you guys weren't such fucking douchers!! They are the only game in town so you do not have a choice. They have always been great to deal with and have a good reputation in town. That is why I was shocked when they illegally changed the locks at one of my rentals. I made a police report and the police said I was correct in that the lock change was illegal but Scott at Clooney decided he could better interpret the law and treated me like I was somehow the bad person. Butte has a way about it that people do what they want but this was horrifying. I will update the outcome when this settles. read more

Keys were locked in my vehicle and when I called even as busy as they were they made time to get over to me. The locksmith actually beat me to my vehicle and when I pulled up the gentleman looked like Santa and it felt like Christmas getting back into my car (very funny and very true). I called about the lock on my sliding door needed to be re keyed, fixed or changed and they quoted me $125.00. When they arrived, it took them 18 minutes to realize the screw just needed to be tightened. Then they still charged me $125.00! When I tried to talk to the manager/owner on the phone, he declined. With no other choices in town, it is irritating to learn that the one employee on call to help unlock my vehicle is unavailable because he is at the movies with his kids. His choice to disregard his on call status resulted in lost time for me. I am unimpressed with this customer service. read more
