Thomas Plumbing are scam artists. the furnace I had them install quit in the winter so I called them, they came out, charged me for a call out, said they didn't have the needed part and charged me another service call to come out the next day to fix it after I called them again. they are arrogant and unprofessional. $450 to fix a bad thermo unit on their furnace that they installed. read more

My husband and I just went to buy a heater part that I could have ordered on Amazon for $100.00. Instead I thought I would see how much it was at Thomas plumbing. When the woman behind the register told me $220.00 the man next to me joked and said Just bend over and we both laughed. She decided to tell us both to just take our business elsewhere and get out! **** SCAM ALERT**** These guys will try to scam you into unneeded repairs and are absolutely horrible to work with. Call was for a sink pressure issue due to a bend in a pipe. They spent 20 minutes "inspecting" only to say that there is a leak under the sink (100% false - there is absolutely no water leak), the current brand new faucet is "too cheap", and that they need to start cutting into the wall to identify the problem (which is visible to anyone looking under the sink). When asked to provide an estimate of cost before starting the guy said he couldn't say a max and that it could be thousands of dollars. It was clear his intention was to rip off the landlord and get as much money out of them as possible trying to claim issues that are not present. He even tried to install a $250 faucet before asking if we needed it - definitely did not want it, the existing faucet is brand new. Thankfully I realized they were trying to scam the landlord and stopped them before they proceeded to further rip them off. Further, the guy was a absolute ass from the moment he walked in. He was exceptionally difficult to talk to the whole interaction. As he left, he blocked the driveway and was goofing off on his phone. When asked to move out of the way he refused and continued to block the driveway until he presumably decided he had wasted enough of his employers time and finally drove off. A local handyman identified and repaired the issue for a fraction of what these guys were saying they would charge. I am positive this company has been scamming Missoula homeowners for years. Don't let them get away with it on your home and search elsewhere as these guys are 100% con artists. read more

For several years I've used Thomas Plumbing and Heating for yearly furnace cleaning and maintenance. The last time they were here to maintenance my heating system, I told them of a malfunction, with my furnace. They failed to find the cause and assured me all was well. It was apparent that they failed to find the cause as my furnace kept going on during the heat spell. When I went to their office to complain and request that they stand by their work I was told they stood by their workman, and I should seek another company. Luckily, I found Air Quality Mechanical and they will now be my choice in the future. read more

Very disappointed in my experience with this company. My hot water heater wasn't working so I called to see if a repair person could come investigate the issue. I explained to the person I made the appointment with that I needed to make arrangements at work so a set time was necessary. I was scheduled a 4pm appointment that afternoon. I scheduled time away from work, flexed my lunch and left at 3:30 so I could be at the house before anyone showed up. I waited until 5pm and finally called the business because nobody had showed up or called to let me know they were running late. The person who answered the phone apologized and said someone would show up but didn't know when. At 6:30 I received a call from the repairman stating he would be at my house in a couple minutes. He arrived at 6:45, no apology for being late, and within a couple minutes asked to use my restroom. My house smelled of fecal matter for the next hour! He was already late, why couldn't he have stopped at a gas station to do that?! After stinking up my house he went back to work on the hot water heater and asked where my breaker box was. I showed him but also told him I had already checked it. Then he asked about outlets on my back deck. I showed him the one I have, he pushed the GFI button and the hot water heater turned on. Evidently the outlet and heater shared the same circuit. Fifteen minutes into the appointment he had fouled up my house with his stink and dirty snow from tromping around outside, then presented me with a bill for $90. I feel I should have written the check for $40, reflecting my $50 dumping fee. Such an unprofessional experience. I do not recommend this company for repair services at all. read more

The woman on the phone was incredibly condescending and made fun of the way I had temporarily fixed the faucet. (I am not a plumber.) When I asked them to come back to fix the initial installation of a faucet they put in, which remained stable less than a month before it came loose. I asked how much and she said it would be another 100 bucks..... in addition to the first 100 bucks....I freakin' majored in the wrong thing. Forget the legal field, I shoulda been plumber! Helluvah racket 100 bucks for a half hour work...then another 100 bucks to do it again on the same faucet. In fairness I posted this review earlier this year, but it was removed when I came back to look for it. Maybe the ppl I had the misfortune of dealing with are gone. Doesn't matter for me I won't EVER use them again. read more

I recently bought pvc fittings at Thomas plumbing and heating however I'm very disappointed that they got moved into the garage or shop. I'm very unhappy that they changed the retail store there. Everything got moved around. I liked where the pvc fittings were in that backroom past the cash register all in the wooden bins but not anymore. They're out in the filthy garage where the plumbers park their trucks at. They might of scaled back on product too. The retail store isn't as complete like it was in 2014 or before that even. How are do it yourselfers going to see and choose what they need? Good news I got the pvc fittings I can't find. Bad news I grabbed the last 3 pieces and I remember they had a lot more of those pieces last year before they changed everything around. Thomas plumbing you should of kept the retail store the way it was. I'm not coming back anymore. It's gone down hill. read more

I had to take time off from work to meet them to have my furnace serviced as part of a block of apartments being serviced on the same day. I made an appointment with them, but after an hour past the appointment time I was told they had finished up early and wouldn't be able to make my appointment. No one bothered to call me or my landlord to let us know so I wouldn't have to leave work. When I called the man who answered acted like I was being unreasonable for being upset. read more

I was referred to Thomas Plumbing by a friend who is also my real estate agent. I didn't end up getting service from this company. This is because once I called to find out if their plumbers had gone to the rental property I had made an appointment for, the man I talked to said I wasn't in the schedule. He asked the two ladies (Karen and Ginger) if they had spoken to me the day before and both denied they had. I had called twice, first for a quote, the second to book plumbing repairs and services and even gave my tenants' information for the appointment. As a landlord, it's important that I provide maintenance when I say I will. So, to have bad service from another small business is very frustrating. They also quoted me twice as high as the company I ended up going with. With a good reference from my friend, I was willing to pay extra but now am glad to save my money by going with another company. read more
