We also asked them to replumb the under sink drain. $580...ok no problem, small price to pay to have it done professionally, right? wrong. leaks in the drain, which was some corrugated crap kit their "installer" picked up somewhere, leaks in the supply lines. was getting no hot water at the sink. Called to address the issue. they sent out the same guy and he said we must have a bad water heater. Some coincidence that the water heater died at the same time. We said, ok, need a new water heater. Bought one at HD and had a reputable plumbing company install it. Also had them replumb the drain under the kitchen sink the right way to do away with the leaking issue. Still no hot water at the sink the next day. called the plumbing company back out and they took another look at the faucet installation by Honey Do. The Honey Do installer had reversed the supply lines. Hot to the cold side and cold to the hot side. Lesson learned. Tried to contact them to request a partial refund. No email, no call, no text I'm a disabled Veteran with severe physical limitations on a fixed income and really couldn't afford the $1500 that we had to come up with to fix the problems caused by incompetent installers from Honey Do. My tankless water heater that's only about five years old was leaking. It was like a slow leak, but…read moreit was in my garage closet. I thought it could be something quickly fixed, but it turned out that the entire unit needed replacing. They were able to get out the very next day in the morning. The plumber, Austin was very nice and thorough. He was great at explaining his recommendations and the differences in the brands. He also was knowledgeable about the various warranties for the tankless water heaters as well as his service. I found him to be friendly and timely. He also provided great communication in regards to when he could obtain the recommended tankless water heater and when he would be out to install it the next day. Overall, I'm very satisfied with their service and my interaction with Austin. He was very helpful in helping me move some items. He also left the work area cleaned and disposed of the old water heater. The old water heater installation was very unorganized so he did put the pipes and everything back on the wall and left them better than they were before. It took him about two hours to install the new tankless water heater. If I have another issue, I will certainly reach out to Emerald Bay Plumbing as I feel like Austin provided good advice and seemed to Reflect a trustworthy spirit of this business.

We had a backup and Jonathan came out to resolve. We agreed to a camera inspection and rotor. He…read moretold us that there was a break in the line and that we needed to replace it. He told us it works be $25k. When we didn't immediately agree to get the $25k in work done (who doesn't get a second opinion for that much work?), he informed us that we had to pay extra for a copy of the video!! The rotor and "camera" cost us $749. The next day, I called him asking for a copy of the estimate bc I hadn't received it via email yet. He said that he doesn't give written estimates bc we might use it to get a cheaper quote from someone else!! We didn't use the water at all until we tried flushing once the next day. The backup was back, which wouldn't be too surprising if there was a break. We called a different plumber. He did another rotor and camera for $400. He didn't find a break. He also provided us with a copy of the video and a written estimate if we wanted to replace the cast iron. We watched the video. The pipe is in surprisingly good condition and there is no break. It's unclear what caused the backup. It's been over a month and there has been no further issues. I called Jonathan and asked to see the video showing the break or a refund of only the cost of the camera. He repeatedly *insisted* that he never told us that there was a break and that he only told us to jet the line. No wonder he refused to provide a written estimate. Fortunately, I had the payment receipt which mentioned the break. He then started to discuss not charging us for another camera if we hired him to put in a cutout. I declined and he said that he'd call me back in half an hour. He didn't call back. When i texted him late that evening, he demanded to see the video showing no break. Why does he want the video showing no breaks when he insisted that he never said that there were breaks? Maybe I should have sent it to him, but he had already gaslit me and now he was moving the goalposts. I told him I'd play if for him if he came over, but I wasn't going to email it to him. He refused. I told him that I'd send it if he sent the video showing a break. He didn't respond (this part was over text). I have no evidence that he even did the camera. His rotor job appears to also have also been subpar considering the backup reoccurred so quickly and the pipes are fine now that another plumber rotored them.
