Steve Aldred is one of the biggest scam artists of the 21st-century! He stole thousands of dollars from me and rare expensive DJ equipment. He will lie and say that family members and/or friends have had strokes in front of him, had cancer, died, committed suicide, anything so the people will pity him and excuse his illegal and fraudulent behavior. He has scammed at a minimum dozens of people and maybe as many as 100 DJs worldwide. There are DJs in Chicago, New York, Atlanta, Los Angeles, Buenos Aires, and Spain that have all suffered from his fraud and this is all that I have found out about so far. I was taken in by his lies because he seemed to know what he was talking about and seemed genuine. I also believed his lies because it was hard for me to believe that considering the community of DJs who use high-end DJ mixers and equipment is relatively small world wide, I couldn't believe that someone would scam so blatantly when it should be pretty easy to be found out because there are so few of us. But if there is anything to be learned from Bill Cosby and Harvey Weinstein, it is that people will do horrific things thinking that they will never get caught. Steve's day is coming and he will soon be occupying a 6 x 9' cell in a Canadian prison or whichever country he is captured and prosecuted in. He claims to be Jamaican and I'm going to certainly put out the word that he is ruining the good name of Jamaicans and anyone who really knows Sound knows that that is the birthplace and deep resonant bass with sizzling high definition highs dates back to the Sound System beach parties on the island of Jamaica. This scam artist is, by his own words, claiming to represent that great country and their amazing legacy, but he is representing them as badly as it is possible. Anyone who comes in contact with him please report him immediately to the authorities and do not do any business with him, send him any equipment or money. One story that was told to me by a fellow DJ was that he sent Steve Aldred a high end DJ mixer to be modified and when Steve did a terrible job and the DJ complained, Steve sent him ANOTHER DJs much more expensive Mixer so that the DJ would not travel to Canada to beat Steve's face in. He has screwed DJs out of some of the most high end, rare, nearly impossible to find vintage DJ equipment on the planet. Steve Aldred working under the name 416 Rotary boutique in Toronto is absolutely one of the worst people occupying this world and there is a place in hell waiting for him. Be warned and spread the word! read more
