First of all, Aaron picked up the phone and called me within two hours of my inquiry, whereas other companies just sent me back messy, unprofessional emails. Aaron and I talked for a bit, I told him what I was looking for, he tempered my expectations (politely, I might add!) and he told me what kinds of services were available and what he would recommend. He sent me over a contract very promptly and it was very easy to make the decision to choose Impact. Out of the gate, I knew that if we went with Impact, we would be in very good hands. Aaron wasn't hesitant to call me so that we could discuss details and pricing on the phone; he went so far as to call me to verify all of the details we had discussed over phone calls and emails just to make sure he had everything down right. As the day got closer, there were some details that I just hadn't had time to finalize. Aaron called me to gently remind me that he needed them and in the end, we chatted on the phone and figured it all out in 10 minutes! He was able to provide appropriate music recommendations for the various parts of our ceremony and reception and basically helped me finish all those last minute choices. We didn't have an MC and I wanted a DJ that would be able to handle that piece of the day and Aaron NAILED it. People thought that he was a close personal friend, that's how good of an MC he is! He kept the momentum going throughout the night and kept in touch with me as things changed or if we had any hiccups. We can't say enough great about Aaron - our guests are still raving about the dance floor (we ended up having TWO dance floors because people were having so much fun dancing) and how great the music was. We're from out of town, so it was their website that initially won us over; this was clearly an amazing group of performers, and their song selection was precisely what we were hoping for. From there, we got into Skype contact with James, who was immediately charming, obliging, and very practical. Which set another precedent: that this is a group of professionals. There was zero friction in the preparation. Could they travel to Niagara-on-the-Lake? Absolutely. And stay late? Sure. Learn a song? Yes. Accommodate a father-daughter dance, pause their set for a brief ceremony at midnight, play something on loop for a traditional Slovakian wedding dance? No problems. And they had recommendations and advice at every turn. The day of, they showed up early and handled all their prep. They managed to tiptoe in during the speeches, perfectly timed for the first dance. A miscue on our part was handled in stride, and all night they were totally attentive to both us and our guests. It goes without saying that the music was incredible, that everyone was up and dancing, that the vocalist was out of this world and that our man James killed it on trumpet. Having the St. Royals relieved us of so much worry. We had no qualms about relying on them, and our experience bore that out: they were consummate professionals, and amazing performers. Our guests are still raving about the quality of the music. And please, whatever you do: don't forget the brass.

We provided them with a music list of songs to play and indicated clearly that we want the DJ to play music with the same vibe. We hired them for a very special occasion which was my 50th birthday party at a hall and we paid their fee of almost $2000 because we were assured that we would get quality services. We got the worst possible services in that the DJ kept playing 70s and 80s music when we specifically outlined in the agenda they provided us thar we wanted current music like the music list we provided them with and they promised to follow. The inappropriate music the DJ kept playing throughout most of the party ruined the atmosphere of the party and our guests felt awkward as did my husband and I. Our guests did not feel like dancing to this music and asked us where we got this DJ from. They told us that the music selection was very bad and that it made them feel awkward. My husband, best friend and I approached the DJ and asked him politely to stop playing this old music and to play current music, including playing the music list we provided to liven up the party because nobody wanted to dance to the music he kept playing. The DJ listened to our request however he completely disregarded our input and he kept playing this older and inappropriate music. The entire purpose of hiring S4 and Peter and Pauls was to ensure we had a party atmosphere where everyone would dance to celebrate this milestone birthday. They completely failed to provide us with quality music and as a result our guests were not inclined to dance and a lot of guests left early because the party wasn't lively due to the horrible music selection the DJ was playing. The DJ also failed to provide any interactive activities with the guests as was promised by S4 and as indicated in the agenda we provided them with. The demeanor of the DJ in his discussion with us was indifferent and cold. This demeanor was also observed by our guests who noted that it looked like he didn't want to be there and showed absolutely no enthusiasm or even a smile while he played music. This is completely unacceptable in this industry to conduct oneself in such an indifferent manner. In addition, we noted that he drank several cans of beers and lined up the empty cans in a row on the stage. We found this very unprofessional and disrespectful to us and our guests. This is disgraceful behaviour which demonstrates a complete disregard for our party. The DJ provided by S4 didn't even know how to properly hold the microphone and speak into it. He had his mouth right on the microphone which caused a big distortion in what he was saying when he addressed the audience. My best friend had to show him that he had to pull the mic back to be heard clearly. The DJ brought 2 speakers and subwoofers, but he didn't even hook up the subwoofers and/or they didn't work. This was very apparent in that the music he played had absolutely no base. As anyone would agree having no base in the midi would most certainly affect how well the music is heard and felt by people. We went through the extra expense of hiring a videographer to have beautiful memories of this milestone celebration, however this was a waste of money because the footage reflects the horrible atmosphere created by the DJ. It's extremely sad and disappointing that I can't get a redo of this party because the damage has already been done by S4 and Peter and Pauls. When I expressed my dissatisfaction with the services provided to S4 via email, S4 dismissed my concerns and informed me that they fulfilled their contractual obligations and stated the following: "I do apologize that your experience with S4 was not what you were expecting however music is subjective..." A response like this is completely unacceptable and unprofessional as any reasonable person would agree. In light of the horrible experience I had with S4 and Peter and Pauls, I personally would never recommend their services. PLEASE BE AWARE OF WHO YOU HIRE.

It's essential for businesses to be transparent, reliable, and respectful of their clients' needs and expectations. We supplied our own MC who was one of our friends and groomsmen and their own MC basically announced that we had our own MC ..as if it was a bad decision to do that. They basically made our MC sound like they "sucked". Also many people complained that when they asked for a specific song, they wouldn't play any of them. However, every song I wanted to hear, they did play (as I was the Bride). Honestly, you're better off looking for other DJ services who are very affordable!
