If they don't have something that you have your eye on, you can connect with them to see if they will order it for you (which they likely will, if they can!) Really flexible hours of operation, open late many nights of the week, and there are constantly events occuring here. They have a fairly large, well-lit, and clean gaming space in the back. The first time I came, I was still fairly new to tabletop gaming so I wasn't sure what to get. I had my eyes set on Agricola but after talking to the associate I realized I wasn't ready for such a heavy euro game just yet. The associate asked us what we liked and then basically went through their entire collection with us, pointing out and explaining various games that he thought would appeal to us. You don't get customer service like that anymore! All the games are also much cheaper than you would find at Chapters or Mastermind Games. They've also got tons of other nerd stuff like comic books, figurines, and superhero paraphernalia. His vinyl is always of excellent quality and his selection changes so frequently that I have missed out on some gems in the past. His CD wall has grown since he sold that beautiful Seeburg juke box: (shame shame Keith). Oh yes, let's not forget the great coffee and large selection of different teas. And last but not least, Keith supports local artists by displaying paintings on his walls. On Sundays, he invites local musicians to perform for those who venture in between 12:00 and 17:00. All in all, one of my favourite spots on the Lake Shore. P.S. Bring in your vinyl and Keith with WASH it for a pittance. The difference will amaze you!

Moving to a larger location on Port Credit's East side (about 1 km east of Hurontario), about 4 years has allowed for Ric's to expand their offerings and inventory to a point where you feel like you've traveled back in time to the 60's/70's to go record shopping. All the classics are there... like all of them! If you're a true audiophile, this is the place to be. I spend almost an hour doing a 'quick' skim of the categories that interested me most. Ric's has got a lot of vintage vinyl going from $6 up to $35-$40, there's something from every genre, category and generation on his shelves. That said, if you're looking for something old... brand new, he's got an expansive collection of re-releases and pressings that he keeps on regular order. These can range in price from $25 to over $100 depending on the album. For those still loving the smooth skip skip skip sound of CD's, Ric's has a good helping of these as well. I didn't choose to browse because if I want digital music, I'll download it from itunes, plain and simple. But if you're still a fan of the old compact disc, I'd swing by here and check them out! Today I picked up a Best of the Beatles 1967-1970, Kick by INXS and Blue Train by John Coltrane! I can't wait to get them home to listen!

However, I was walking out of The Bay and realized I missed a giant sign that said they have K-Pop stuff! Needing to check out their stock, I wandered in. The store is a about the same size if not slightly bigger than the older HMVs that used to be around. The K-Pop section was just one section in an aisle but it had staples that you would expect from BTS, Blackpink, NCT 127, and Tomorrow x Together. There were a few albums available for each artist and some merch for the more popular bands. They also carry DVDs here, a rare sight in this world of streaming. Impressively they had also had a section of anime. They had some of the newer popular hits like Demon Slayer and some older ones like Guilty Crown.

Some of the records are selling for over $200, maybe I should look at my parent's vinyl collection and sell them to Hifi Joe. Hifi Joe also have a good collections of tube gear and sold state amplification. Great if you want to hear the "real" sound of your vinyl records. Just ask the staff for a demonstration.
