Besides vinyl records & turntables, there are gifts like mugs, posters, T-shirts and DVD's. Checkout was quick and courteous.

To get a huge, huge selection of CDs in this little store, the CDs and artwork have been removed from the jewel cases and put in plastic envelopes. When you buy a CD, the artwork and CD will be put back in a jewel case if you want. In my case, I was travelling and had no room left in my suitcase. Without the jewel cases, I was able to stuff over 20 CDs in my suitcase (and I have plenty at home). The selection is incredible with a wide range of rock music. Lots of rare stuff that I don't see in other stores. Most of the CDs are either $5 or $10. I ended up with over 20 discs for $85. Some of it was stuff that I had been looking for and others were albums I didn't know existed. There is a huge selection of heavy/death metal (but that was not what I wanted). There is progressive rock and jam bands. There is straight ahead rock. The jazz selection is pretty small. We were driving from Niagara Falls to the Buffalo airport and this was just 5 minutes out of the way. I would have spent more time in the store and probably found more CDs to buy if my wife wasn't outside texting me when I would be done. I never buy this many CDs when I visit a record store, even something like Amoeba Records in Hollywood which is one of the biggest record stores in the US.

However, I was walking out of The Bay and realized I missed a giant sign that said they have K-Pop stuff! Needing to check out their stock, I wandered in. The store is a about the same size if not slightly bigger than the older HMVs that used to be around. The K-Pop section was just one section in an aisle but it had staples that you would expect from BTS, Blackpink, NCT 127, and Tomorrow x Together. There were a few albums available for each artist and some merch for the more popular bands. They also carry DVDs here, a rare sight in this world of streaming. Impressively they had also had a section of anime. They had some of the newer popular hits like Demon Slayer and some older ones like Guilty Crown.

I don't remember this location always looking like this so I assume there has been some renovations done on it throughout the years. This is the first EB Games that I've seen that touts the EB Kids brand as well. I'd say about half the store is dedicated to children and still within the realm of gaming but more on the merchandise side of things with figurines, party games (not of the board variety), and plushies. They still have a full video games collection for all of the major platforms, both new and used. There were a lot of people browsing the day that I was there. I think the employee was able to sort out who was just browsing versus who may need help and I was asked if I needed any assistance, which I appreciated. I overhead that some people were getting help with orders that they placed online. They staff here seemed pretty knowledgeable and willing to help.

I recently had the misfortune of dealing with an unbelievable condensending supervisor at your…read moreScarborough Ontario  EB Games store at 300 Borough Dr. This is about an interaction with an employee or manager at the at the EB Games store. I gave corporate a chance to solve this and there was no follow up the first 2 times.  I ultimately phoned and they did not provide anything other than telling me they received the complaint. I'm absolutely sure they won't do anything with this from their tone.   It first started when I phoned the store to tell them that they gave me the wrong game. They said they would let me keep it and then refund me if I came in to the store. I travel out of my way to the store and the store employee doesn't acknowledge me entering. When making the return with another more helpful employee, the first employee at the counter then first refuses to listen to my comments that this is the incorrect game. I'm thinking this is getting weird now. The rude one tells me that he will do a refund but refuses to keep the promise I received over the phone to keep the game and refund. When making the refund he is being extremely condescending the entire time and uttering "Oh $5, wow. " and stuff along that line, this is unbelievably erking that he just keeps going on like this the entire transaction. In the end he dumps the change on the table. This is extremely unprofessional behaviour, I expected better from this franchise so I reported the incident to EB Corporate and they said they would get a Regional Manager to investigate, I suppose that meant investigate and not report back.  Customers shouldn't be treated this way. It's disrespectful. I've bought thousands of dollars of product from your company for years and I'm in awe of how willful this was and the final response of nothing. I'd just like to give you the heads up that this employee will end up affecting your bottom line in the future and already has. I'm already buying a new gaming system elsewhere that was one of the reasons I visited the store that day but his additude and behavior killed that prospect.
