Great service. Way cheaper than Mazda dealership. Worth paying extra for performance parts. Very thorough.

They are either INCOMPETENT OR DISHONEST. I came in for an oil change, as I saw a sign at the…read moreFrisco location advertising synthetic oil change $49.99 - so since I was going to be near the Garland location, I went there. As told about 30 minutes is all it would take, over an hour later, they were finally done. Then the surprise bill came...$131.00, when I asked why so high, I was told that the truck takes 6.5 qts of oil - I pointed out I can buy all the supplies at Wal-Mart for under $40 and I pointed out the sign at the Frisco location. I was told they would price match the Frisco location, yet still charged me $68 Then they send me a report of required maintenance... They said my engine air filter was dirty and needed to be changed $34.99 - My truck has a reusable K&N filter that just needs to be clean. It even has a bold sticker on the cover stating this! Next, they stated that the cabin filter was dirty, and needed to be changed $49.99 - this filter was changed less than 30 days prior with an activated charcoal filter - not dirty. Next they stated the right front upper control arm (UCA) ball joint boot was crack/torn and they could change the UCA for only $610.99 UCA are not that expensive and it takes about 30 minutes. Yes, you need an alignment, but still... Next...They claimed the rear shocks were leaking and that would cost $472.99 to replace....give me a brake...you can buy a pair of high end Bilstein shock for less than $200 Then they suggested new spark plugs for ONLY $722.50 ! the plugs are $13 ea. Retail...so that's about $100 so what $622 labor!?!? Toyota doesn't recommend plug service till 100k miles (I'm at 77k) Then they wanted $217.99 to change the serpentine belt - I did it myself for $30, for a quality Gates belt and it to 30 minutes. Upon examination of the old one, there was not 1 crack. I took the truck to an independent shop for 2nd opinion, they could not fin 1 crack or tear in the ball joint boot. Also, the rear shocks were not leaking, the were covered in dirt from driving, so when the truck was lifted, it exposed the clean upper part. If you have no idea what you're doing I guess you might think it's leaking - or if you think the customer has no idea, you can take advantage of them. I sent in my requested feedback - they never reached back out to me. I can't speak about other locations, but stay as far away from this one as you can - as I said they are either INCOMPETENT OR DISHONEST!

This is the FIRST CRITICAL REVIEW I've ever written on ANY business…read more Only 2408 miles driven since this repair that I paid $1200 cash for. The A/C was used no more than 12 hours total after the new compressor was installed. The car has had no accidents of any kind. The compressor that Greg's shop installed (for $1200) just dropped off the engine block when I started the car one day. It was never bolted on like they told me it was. Greg sent a tow truck to pick the car up from my house and when I called later that day to check on my car, I was told that Greg has gone on vacation in Acapulco. My car stayed at that shop for 14 days and whenever I called to ask about my car, it was impossible to get a straight answer to why my a/c compressor would become unbolted. One of the guys that answered my call just said that I need to get a new engine. The next time I called them to say I can have AAA Auto Club tow the car off of Greg's lot.. but the message from Greg (still in Acapulco) was: "pay the fee for the tow truck Greg sent for $200, and then I could have my car". By this time I was beyond frustrated. Then I asked if they could put a smaller drive belt on and bypass the compressor. Greg got back from Acapulco and they called me with an estimate to put on a smaller belt and bypass the compressor.. $746.68 !!! I declined. I scheduled a AAA tow truck to meet me over at Greg's shop and he was still refusing to give me my car keys unless I paid him $200. Then he had a quick change of heart after I told him I would call police. At that point Greg had a childish, name-calling tantrum. Never in my life saw a grown man have such a pathetic tantrum. BE AWARE that Collinsworth Car Care is just like so many others; They'll happily take your money without doing an honest repair or giving an honest explanation. The shop I had my car towed to did the bypass belt install perfectly for a tiny fraction of what greedy Greg wanted.
