Stopped by after soccer games to get some celebratory ice cream. Owner was very kind and patient, despite a long line of customers with multiple orders. She gave samples to each of my children to try, and waited patiently while they asked for their ice cream flavor, size and toppings. Ice cream is delicious!! Their vanilla/choco combo is also good for a basic default if you don't like any of their flavors. You can also sample!! I don't have any complaints about this place because their small serving is pretty big in my opinion. A small is $8-something, which I think is super worth. Service has been good every time I've gone, so I don't have any complaints about that. My only complaint is that the pricing for the misc things like a cone and toppings is a little too much... if they lowered that I would probably have a better experience so I could try more things. Scotch Marshmallow tasted fine, but I could only get two selections in a plain cone so I went with cheesecake and pineapple. Cone is priced merely three Quarters (as in the literal minted U.S. coins with President Washington) i.e. 75 cents less than the Petite, their smallest cup. Delightfully delicious, the Graham Cracker Cheesecake is also nifty because in the swirl are tiny little bits of graham that give it texture. I was pleasantly surprised to see that they were now serving the Hawaiian ice creams with delicious flavors and combinations of tropical fruits I love!! There were two young employees working there, so I'm sure they have fun taste, testing ice cream and frozen yogurt! Both employees/girls were really helpful and patient as we decided to sample different ice cream and frozen yogurt before we finally made our choice of a double scoop of ice cream which is more like four scoops of ice cream for the same price! There were two employees working, the young man with the tattoos was very helpful and kind, but the other employee seemed unprofessional and barely looked up from his phone. Lappert's ice cream. That was all I needed to know but everyone else here got the froyo. It's a friendly neighborhood place with plenty of outside seating. Very patient staff helping people who couldn't decide what toppings they wanted. You can even get a small split between two ice cream flavors. I was greedy and didn't get the small, and the server was very helpful with a lid when I realized it would be better to attack it at home rather than trying to eat it while walking home. They gave her a very small mini scoop - perfect. I got myself a normal 1 scoop. The total was $14. $7 each. I double checked the price, he said oh ya, we charge the same. I rolled my eyes so hard, they probably thought I was having a seizure. While we do love the Laperts Hawaiian Ice cream, I can't support this over priced place. It was ridiculous. My scoop wasn't even that big either. I mean it was only $14 total so we will be fine financially , but it's just the principle that matters. Review #319 - 2018 After our lunch at Aldo's, we met up with a friend here for dessert. I wasn't too sure if I wanted anything after I sampled the chocolate coconut macadamia since it was the only flavor that stood out and it was super sweet. My younger sister and daughter shared a small waffle cone with two scoops, the honeysuckle rose and vanilla. She said she really liked the honeysuckle rose, but could've done without the vanilla. She kept insisting that I tried the honeysuckle rose so I did and it was actually pretty good so I asked for a scoop in the kid's cup. Ok, sorry but my family can't wait long enough to take a picture before quickly digging into the fro yo and ice cream at Rosy Yogurt! This place has quickly become a family favorite, and a tradition for us to stop at on our way home from Santa Cruz. We first found out about Rosy Yogurt after a faithful google search. Having no idea what we were getting into, we were happy to see the store has a separate entrance exit during covid pandemic, and a max capacity of 2 customers. Not to worry though the 1-2 people behind the counter are quick to serve. The portions are generous and the flavors of frozen yogurt are pretty unique and tasty. My personal favorite is cold brew and the kids have now tried Cookie Monster, Snickers, Princess Cake and "Blue" all with double thumbs up reviews. They'll usually get at least one topping and they mix them in for you in the middle of the yogurt which is a fun more unique method compared to the traditional serve yourself places we usually go to. The girls behind the counter have also been friendly, efficient and respectful of safety measures. The vibe of the store is kind of diner meets beach.
