We had a party of 8. From the start our server had an attitude. Someone asked for a drink and she snapped "you're going to have to wait I only have two hands". It went downhill from there. Someone asked for ranch (he never got it) another whole meal was cold (sent back a potato for reheating and it came out after the whole tables meal was finished. Our server had to have another person to help get us refills on our drinks. I was being served my meal and while she was trying to put it down she stated "can you move? I can't fit my pregnant belly between the chairs" which wouldn't be an issue but she was very nasty about it. What should've been a nice 1-1/2 hour meal wound up taking over 2-1/2. We had to wait entirely too long or ask for everything. I don't know what was going on, but there is no reason for a server to behave that way to your customers. Also? The food? Nothing to write home about. My husbands angel hair was mush, fish was cold, prime rib was overcooked. Was that because of the kitchen or because our server couldn't find time to get it to us in a reasonable amount of time. At the end of our horrible meal, after everyone but one couple was cashed out, the server stated that she was "gipped" $5 off her mandatory 20% tip. She then proceeded to charge it to the couple that she didn't charge yet. Told them she was adding it to their credit card. Unacceptable behavior. There was a phone call made to management who defended the server. So after all that? You've lost 8 loyal customers as well as the word of mouth to everyone we speak to. Never again. read more

The food, takeout and dine in, are always phenomenal!! The service left a lot to be desired. We went the other night with a party of 10. The food took awhile to come out which was fine because they make it fresh and it was a large party. The issue came when It took over 45 minutes to get the checks and cash out. They had issues multiple times with them charging my card. After we finally left, i got a call over an hour later at close to 9:30pm with them explaining the computer once again voided the bill for whoever had the bill for $131. Luckily that was me or I'm not sure what they would have done, but i then had to leave from putting my son to sleep again to go get my card to read to them over the phone. The card issue coupled with the slow service left a bad taste in my mouth regarding dining in. I will probably continue to get takeout to avoid the other issues read more

First time there last night. Great service. The food for me was mixed. The vodka sauce is one of the best I've had and that is high praise from a New Yorker but the pasta was cooked past al dente and that is a crime for Italians. Next time I'll ask them to cook it less. The marsala wine sauce and mushrooms were scrumptious but the chicken breast was overcooked and very chewy in my Chicken Marsala. I will try seafood next time. The salad was yummy. The bread was blah. I was told they had fresh warm bread and that wasn't the case for us. I would say this place has generous portions and I will try again. I live around the corner so I will be back. Very promising and I'd go back just for the excellent service. I want to try more dishes. Pricing is more than fair for what you get. read more

It was our first time here in several years. We stopped going because the dining room is just awful...way too noisy, cramped, and just an overall unpleasant space. The food was delicious though. We had Pasta Neptune and Lobster Fra Diavolo, and both dinners were very good. I just wish they would update the dining room. Went here for a birthday celebration in the family and was not disappointed. The reason I'm giving it 4 stars is because while the ambience was nice and the food was great, the service was okay and it just didn't blow me out of the water. We entered and had a reservation but was met with no one at the door. We waited a while until we were helped. Once we sat down, our server was sweet and helpful with the menu as well as accommodating. We ordered angry clams for an app which was requested but not on the menu and they were accommodating. I personally ordered the Gnocchi with red sauce and it was the best gnocchi I have ever had in my life - no dramatics. Then we ordered a chocolate cake for the birthday girls dessert and that exceeded my expectations as well. As far as the food goes, this place is five stars. The service was good and the ambience was nice, they just had a little housekeeping to take care of. read more

I ordered the veal Marsala which was overcooked chewy and portioned extremely small after having to wait an hour and a half will not be going back. I will not be ordering from here again. I was a frequent customer here but I cannot give them another chance. They're take out orders are a joke! And I supported them during Covid but cannot continue. Recently I ordered a pizza and Cajun chicken alfredo along with a few other items. The pizza wasn't even cooked and the Alfredo... was missing the alfredo sauce, along with only a few pieces of chicken. I couldn't believe it. I never had the opportunity to dine at Rossi's before it burned down years ago (despite growing up down the street from it), but I've been told it was a wonderful place with a great atmosphere. Sadly, this is no longer the case. The dining area in the new building is a expansive room with a high ceiling that causes all the conversations in the room to echo and the noise level is incredibly loud. Consequently, it's very hard to hear the people you're eating with and that is a terrible thing to have in any restaurant, especially an Italian one. I had taken my fiancée there for our first date and after almost 6 and half years, Rossi's is still the noisiest restaurant we've ever eaten in (and that's including packed restaurants in Manhattan around Christmastime). A few days ago, my family and I decided to try Rossi's once again, but order take-out so as to avoid the dining area debacle. Unfortunately, we realized that, despite the reputation that Rossi's has in the valley area, they just don't make delicious food. We ordered veal parmesan and the veal was cooked fine, but it just didn't have exceptional flavor. The sauce was merely okay, but nothing to rave about and certainly nothing to tell friends about. They also give you very, very little sauce for your pasta, which is never good. Frankly, Rossi's food is merely okay and they have been overhyped in the area for far too long. I think what everyone loves about Rossi's is that they give you HUGE portions of food and people like getting more for their money. For me, quality always trumps quantity and Rossi's is just not a place that serves quality food. Couple that with an extremely noisy dining area and Rossi's is definitely a place you should skip. read more

Went here for the first time tonight. We ordered the fried raviolis and Ceasar Salad and both were excellent. We order the Cavetelli Rustica and the Tour of Italy. I asked what the soup was that came with the tour of Italy and the older man server stated it was a macaroni and meat soup...also I went to order the penne vodka for my choice under tour of Italy and the older man stated everything comes with it. Just to note, the soup should be explain as meat tortollini in a chicken broth. We were then shown the dessert tray - everything looked wonderful. We ordered a junior cheesecake, a double expresso with black sambucca and a regular coffee. I have to say I was totally amazed that when the regular coffee was brought to the table with cream, the cream curdled instantly. The older man our server brought another cup and new creamer however not sure what he brought the second time as this time we think it may have been heavy cream as when I poured it into the coffee it was so thick and when I show him he got perturbed. If I was to drink this I definitely would have been sick as there was something wrong with the milk/creamers. Possible their refrigeration should be checked and serviced or at bear minimum someone should check dates on milk and creamer products. read more

Have not been to Rossi's for several years since I moved out of the area. What used to be the best veal and chicken parmigiana ended up as a huge disappointment. The breading was soggy, the chicken way over salted and the sauce reminded me and my party of the sauce from a spaghettios can when we were kids. It was strange and a shame since the sauce used on the eggplant rotini was excellent and I expected that same sauce on the parmigiana and the pasta. The homemade gnocchi were good but again ruined by the runny ketchup like marinara sauce. The penne a la vodka sauce was much better. Our server was clearly overwhelmed even though the dining room was only 1/2 full and we had to ask for everything we needed sometimes more than once. I was really looking forward to the dishes that were so good several years ago but I guess things have changed and not for the better at Rossi's. read more
