We opted to take our drinks outside to the massive porch and enjoy them while watching the sunset and rocking in the rocking chairs. Super reasonable drink prices for a venue such as this.

Dim lighting, big comfortable leather chairs, bookshelves lining the walls, a fully stocked bar, and historic photos throughout the space create a classic lodge vibe that feels timeless without being stuffy. It is cozy, polished, and incredibly relaxing. The staff is knowledgeable and clearly takes pride in what they serve. The craft cocktails are well made and thoughtful, and if you prefer beer, there are solid options there too. As a bourbon lover, I especially enjoyed their private barrel pick served neat, a real treat and easily a standout pour. This is a perfect pre-dinner or post-evening stop, we have done both, and it works beautifully either way. Dress is slightly casual but leans upscale, and while pricing is a bit higher than average, it feels completely worth it for the setting, quality, and experience. We sank into the chairs, talked story with friends, and lost track of time, which really says it all. If you are anywhere near Skytop Lodge, make sure this is on your list. Plan extra time, you will want to linger.

As luck would have it, it was Binghamton Restaurant Week and we attempted a walk in - first available was three+ hours later - but the hostess mentioned we could get the RW menu at the bar and two seats were calling. Lots of choices on the menu but friend and I ended up having the same meal! Cup of Cauliflower, potato and leek soup to start was yummy - very comforting, not too thick, good flavor - I could have stopped here! But fortunately did not! Main was spectacular! Salmon with everything bagel spices served over pearl couscous in a risotto style was inspired (honestly, I will try this at home)! I hope this is a menu regular because I will crave this for many more meals! Add a black Manhattan and this meal is a treat! (Took the dessert course to go - blueberry cronuts were better than chocolate but both likely suffered a wee bit from loss of ambiance and slight steaming that occurred on drive - good for sure but did not compare to the rest of the meal). Shout out to Tommy F for exceptional service - attentive but not intrusive. Ambiance is lovely (the lighting dimmed as we sat - hysterical) but we also scored the most comfortable seats in the house (I hate a high top stool with no back and no padding on the seat - those stools look nice but should go away). Also love the hook under the bar.

disappointing. We were in town to drop off son for school…read more My birthday was a few days later so i figured we'd go somewhere a little more special and upscale. We walked in and were impressed with the decor. It feels special. We then got seated. My reservation was made weeks prior. Resturant wasn't close to full. In the center there are three really nice booths. There was a table of 4 in the center one. All others were empty. We would have loved to have been seated there. We were brought over to a corner right near a curtained off doorway. I thought 'hmm that's odd.' Too tired from a long drive i accepted the seating. For the next 30 mins i listened to what seemed like never ending amount of dishes and silverware be clanged and washed. I then almost asked to be moved but just hoped it would pass. No new diners came in. Not sure why we were put in the corner but it was a negative for sure. For our meals... i ordered a Bolognese. I love a bolognese and when it's on a menu i get excited. This one was bland and flavorless. I could make a much better one. Bolognese takes hours to slow cook and this was simply not a bolognese. For $32 it needs to be better. I honestly was so unimpressed i left about 3/4 un-eaten. Waitress asked me if i want a to go box. No. no need. The butter candle was cool. My son loved his gnocchi. Portions were big. Tried it but we won't be back.
