This is one of the cleanest Ross locations I have shopped. Aisles were free of clutter. There wasn't trash or opened products strewn about. Clothing was on the hangers. Homegoods were on the shelves in an orderly manner. There is a significant number of items that may be found at many of the Ross store in the area. Prices for those items are on par with other stores. This store does get some higher end items. I purchased a shirt for my son that the m.s.r.p. on the manufacturer's tag was $58, the compared to price on the Ross tag was $19.99, and the price I paid was $4.99. This time of year is when Ross stores are doing a changeover in season/merchandise. Due to this changeover, selection was on the slim side. Knowing this, the lack of selection was not factored into my rating. Fitting rooms were located at the front of the store. There were two rooms. The store wasn't busy. They sold me a defective product, a skirt for a young child. The skirt had a hole in it that we didn't see until after the child put it on. The hole was clearly a defect in the product, but they refused to do a return. read more

My daughter and I decided to visit Ross after a wonderful stop at Bath & Body Works. We grabbed a shopping cart and headed to the women's shoe Section decor section. As we were browsing, I couldn't help but notice two men walking back and forth through the aisles without picking up anything, just casually passing by multiple times. It didn't feel quite right, but I brushed it off since my brother-in-law buys shoes for my sister all the time, so I thought maybe they were just shopping. We continued through the store and headed toward the kids' shoes section. While my back was turned to the rest of the store, we picked out four pairs of sandals. While shopping, I casually spoke with another mom about the size stickers being missing-marked on the shoes, and she was thankful for the tip. Then, we moved on to the kids' clothing section. As we were looking through pants and shirts, I noticed two teenage girls in the teenage clothing section, not moving for at least 30 minutes. They were completely absorbed in their phones. Then, the two men I had seen earlier appeared again, this time walking toward the girls. The four of them started talking and looking at my daughter and me, all while staying glued to their phones and staring at us. I wasn't comfortable, so we quickly moved to a different section. By now, my gut feeling was telling me something wasn't right, so I placed my daughter back in the cart and headed to the front registers. I told the cashier that I was feeling uneasy and wasn't sure if they were stealing or causing some kind of issue, but I didn't feel safe with them staring at us. She reassured me that they had been watching the group and suspected them of stealing. We decided to head straight to the back of the store to look for more Easter decorations, but as I turned to look at my cart, I saw two additional men standing around, staring at their phones, not looking at the shoes or even trying anything on. One of them even yelled to someone else, though I couldn't hear what he said. My anxiety spiked. Within moments, one of the Ross employees--there were three of them total (only women no security/emergency button etc) approached me and said, "Ma'am, I want you to know you're being followed in the store, and we've been watching them awhile." At that point, I was shaken to the core and immediately decided to leave. As we approached checkout, all three employees gathered around me and my daughter. I called my husband, who was just minutes away. I was in such a state of panic that I couldn't think clearly. The employees kept saying this was the first time something like this had happened in the store, and I couldn't help but wonder why Ross didn't take more action (call police, 911, something to potentially save a life) I called my husband again, and the employees asked where he was. I told them he was on his way. Then, this elderly woman started approaching me, trying to calm things down, saying, "No, no, no, don't call the police. My son is autistic. He's weird, he's always weird I told him to quit acting stupid, then shifted the blame on the Ross employees saying - How dare you treat me this way, we did nothing." (I'm sorry you do not speak about your autistic child this way) The employees had to physically push her away and tell her to leave. They also mentioned that she refused to leave despite being asked several times. They had nothing in their cart nothing to check out so why did they show up how at checkout. I never saw this elderly lady in the store was she the look out?! The most disheartening part is the way Ross handled the situation. They claimed to be unaware of anything unusual going on, even though they had been watching the group for some time. They have a grievance and compliance line, but when I spoke with the assistant manager, she claimed to be the point of contact, which I now know wasn't true. Nicest Ross I've ever been in. Most locations are usually a mess and so disorganized to me. This one was very clean, employees were super nice and check out was very fast. I hate the location by my house because it takes so long and I usually end up putting everything back and just leaving. Need to vent a bit. I am mortified beyond words about how the Manager Westly (unless he lied about this too) at Ross on Happy Valley and Lake Pleasant pwky is conducting business and treating customers. Yesterday I took my son to this Ross to look for some pants and pullover sweaters. It wasn't particularly busy in the store. As I would find a few pants my son and I would head to the dressing rooms (2) in the front. The dressing room to the right was full 4 times when I went up there but the left was open. A very nice gentleman was sitting on the bench outside the dressing rooms and was quick to advise that someone was in the dressing room on the right. He would say it was a few people. On the fifth trip up there was someone in the dressing on the left and the right dressing room remained full. I waited with my son no longer than 2 minutes when a tiny short an older lady with short blond hair stormed up to the right dressing room door, threw it opened looked and then as she stormed away obnoxiously shouted back "you have broken every rule we have here". When she threw open the door I noticed that inside was a frail older lady in a wheelchair and two woman trying to assist her. I was shocked at how this employee spoke to them. I saw her return to the registers. Probably about 2 minutes later a very sweet young lady with long black hair approached the right dressing room and knocked. The nice gentlemen on the bench advised her that people were in there. This lady waited until they opened the door and listened as the two woman explained to her that they were trying to help the woman in a wheelchair. The employee spoke kindly to them and said she understood no problem. The employee was heading back to the registers when a man who appeared to be a manager or security picked up the instore microphone and began a snotty rant throughout the store about people not following the dressing room policy would be removed. The rules mean follow them not do what you want to... I was shocked again but then it occured to me that in the short time frame that all this occurred perhaps this manager wasn't aware that the lady inside the dressing room was in a wheel chair with ladies who were assisting her. I went over to just let him know these details and ensure he wasn't thinking I was upset having to wait a few minutes to get in the other one. I approached and said "Excuse me sir are you the manager?" He retorted "Yeah what's up?" I began to tell him that the right dressing room was occupied by this handicapped lady ect. This obnoxious man raises his voice and says "I didn't address it at anyone so you can just move on". Again I am shocked and getting annoyed at this point. I kindly tried to tell him that two of the employee girls have already been over there to check on things and the first lady wasn't very nice to them. Before I could even tell him the second girl was super sweet and understanding he blew up at me. He yells in my face "I didn't say anything or direct anything what do you want from me lady! I make $15 an hour and I don't have time for this sh*t! If you don't like the way I run this store you can just leave!" He throws both arms up and points to the door. Keeping my composure I say in a nice, controlled, calm way " I don't mean to offend or upset you sir. I was just making you aware. The staff may need some training in handling handicapped and special needs customers. He escalated again and yelled at me" what do you know??? I don't make enough for this. I only make $15 an hour!" I tried again (short but still calm and quiet) telling him that I knew it was a violation of the Americans with Disabilities Act to deny service, fail to provide adequate adaptations for, or harass and embarrass handicapped customers. This crazy man lost his mind on me! He started screaming at me about how I am there yelling at him and causing a scene. I quietly asked him confused "I yelled at you? I raised my voice at all? Waved my hands? When? I am not causing a scene. I am just trying to talk to you." Now he is really furious and pacing from the registers toward the mens section and back screaming at me. "You are talking down to me! Making a scene and I don't make enough. I only make $15 dollars an hour for this job!!!" I will admit at this point I was angry and raised my voice moderately and said "It is not my fault you have accepted this position which you clearly hate or that you didn't choose a different path in life that paid better or at least enough to make you a better person. I just wanted to let you know what was going on and that was it. May I have the number to your supervisor please?" He grabbed up a random receipt from the checkout area and threw it at me. "Here it's on there!" I told him this wasn't my receipt and I didn't see a number on it. He said "that's good enough it's on the bottom". Love going into this store since it's close to my house, and usually get things for my daughter and some nice at home Essentials. The gentleman Wesley would always greet us and notice we come around alot. Will always have a nice convo and have the ladies there help my daughter out with what she is looking for. Located inside of a larger shopping plaza this location is a great stop off for this chain. It is clean, well-organized and has a lot of options with a larger layout than some of the other stores in the area. The clothing section had a lot of options to look through, and as per usual for the chain. I really liked that this location was larger than the typical one and felt more spread out with room to walk between aisles and space to have two people pass one another without having to do that awkward turn sideways and smoosh up against the clothes thing. This store is the best store you guys have . I go out of my way just to go to this store because of the atmosphere . It's always clean and the staff is so friendly . The gentleman you have there wesley is one of the most friendliest people I have ever talked to notices he's regulars and always talks with em and my son. If we have questions or are looking for something particular. He will help us find it . The staff there is all so friendly and my son loves to visit there . They love talking with him . I was in Ross Last night and Manager Adrian was looking thru 5 receipts while doing so he was digging in his nose and touching my receipts. This was so gross with the virus spreading he does this at the cash register. Then he wouldn't take my things back from November 2019. I went home washing my hands and face and I still woke up with a stuff nose. he was sick, totally he was NOT professional. I'm calling Ross cooperate office to report this as well. read more

They don't even deserve the 1 star! It's the middle of the day only a few days before christmas and the dressing rooms are closed?! Are you kidding me?!! I stood and waited 20 minutes for the portable "dressing room" in the front of the store before I just gave up. When I asked the manager the reason why the main dressing rooms were closed, she said in a smart tone, "Because I had a bunch of people call out today, we're understaffed." Seriously?? That's not my problem lady, and I would have never told my customer that! I live less than 2 miles from this store, and I will not be returning, I'll drive over to the Happy Valley Rd location from now on. Terrible customer service! The worst customer service from the late morning manager herself. Refused to exchange an item, even though there were several similar items, all at the 9,99 price point. She robotically repeated " without a receipt or tag, there can be no return". When I offered the option of swiping my cc to see it linked to the purchase, which other competitors will do, she repeated her statement and refused. There are several other choices within a half mile that I will spend my money in... I'd happily drive five or 10 miles to intentionally avoid giving her store a nickel. read more

This Ross store itself is nice, not over crowded and clean. However, it's fairly empty of actual products. I was able to find a pair of shoes but that is rare for this location. They have some nice art and furniture but not much. From the looks of the bare shelves, I don't see how they will stay open for too much longer. All I can say is wow. This store has gone down hill. The new store manager is running this place into the ground. I see why employees are leaving. This store used to be great friendly and inviting and now. All they care about is getting you out The door. Cashiers can't make eye contact. They seem very unhappy. Like a light has gone out in them. Even reaching out to corporate about a horrible experience I had and not hearing anything back. Won't be returning here again. The store manager is disrespectful to customers and his team treats them like slaves. I heard him put down employees. For no reason other than them trying to provide great service. This place gets barely two stars and only because I got an area rug for 3.85!!!! I bought a bunch of items-many were delicate and/or breakable?!! I had a full cart. The guy that was helping didn't wrap ANY of it. The staff watched me struggle to get my things into the cart and again how to juggle just to get out The front door!! In the past I have been very happy with my shopping trips at this location. Great prices, quality items. Unfortunately, I bought a pair of dress pants that fit great upon trying them on in the store. I washed them according to the instructions, air dried them and discovered that they shrunk about 5 inches in length. I had the tags, receipt, and went back to the store to explain that obviously they were defective, and asked for a refund. The male employee said that they could not return them since they were washed.. ummm.. so a female manager came up to the front, I explained to her the situation. She was super rude and just said, no. Store policy that there are no returns after they have been washed since they couldn't resell them .. would not even give me store credit. Every time I come her thinking my experience will be better, it just gets worse. The place is filthy, clothing is damaged and the staff is rude. There was one cashier working trying to check everyone out quickly, when she called for back up someone finally showed up 5 minutes later and seemed inconvenienced that she had to actually do her job. I was standing in the customer service line because there was ONE cashier and she said to wait there. When the other girl showed up she took the people behind me in another line when I had been there waiting before them. Then she called me over and said "you're standing in the return line, just so you know". And normally I would've just smiled and said sorry but when there was ONE cashier ringing people up there what else was I supposed to do? That was totally unprofessional and absolutely rude. I have noticed that this store is not well stocked compared to Ross Stores in other locations. I have seen an overall decline in the quality of the store in the past 2 years. I am disappointed that it is often hard to find shoes, clothing and other items because the shelves and many of the clothing racks are often bare. In addition, the dressing room looks dirty and is in need of repair. On a positive note, the sales associates have always been courteous, so I gave the review an additional star. read more
