I shopped in both locations this week and there is no comparison between the two stores. The Bell location is friendly, the sales associates are there to help the customers, make sure that they have a fitting room, and are finding whatever they came to purchase (and usually more in my case). They make shopping fun and the great merchandise is a perfect combination. The store is better organized than the 99th Street store and we choose this location almost every time we shop Sher's. I recently visited this store and when I entered three sales associates were visiting between themselves. They looked when I entered and never said a word to me the whole time I was there which was well over an hour. Not one sales associate offered to help me until it was getting close to closing time and they wanted to clean out the dressing room I was in. I felt very disrespected and was disappointed in the lack of service. read more

Please, please boycott this store. On my first visit I was shocked and horrified to see a much older, angry, domineering woman standing in the middle of the store berating one of the clerks. She kept going on and on about the same issue, continually. The poor clerk was humiliated and totally embarrassed. She was nearly in tears. After the big woman walked away, I went up,to the clerk and tried to comfort her. I asked who she was and was told she was the Manager. The other clerks came over to tell me she always does that and makes them feel just awful. I asked where the owner was and was told he was in the back room and to walk in there. I did. The Manager Lady was in there telling him basically how awful the clerk was and what she did to remedy it. That is when I spoke up and said, "if you had an issue with an employee, you should have pulled her in a separate room to reprimand her, NOT BERATE HER in the middle of a crowded store." She turned to me, the customer, and told me to, "go sit on an egg" ! OMG, and the owner just sat there and looked on.. I told him, "you let her talk to a customer like that? You should be ashamed of yourself to keep her employed. She is detrimental to your business. He did shyly turn to her and say, "you should not talk to customers like that". I then asked him if she was his mother, because of how he seemed afraid of her, and he said NO, but she has been with me for 20 years. I told him, it may be time to change Managers. So if anyone is looking for a Managers position, I highly recommend get your application in....he May grow a set, and let her go. For new Blood. But please, don't shop there. Not nice to treat people like that. read more

Absolutely no customer service. My Mom wanted to go there because she liked some of the tops the ladies were wearing where she lives in Sun City West. We went there and had to find someone to help us. When we asked the lady if there was a certain section for what we were looking for, she just said they are mixed in with everything on the racks and walked away. Pushing my Mom in a wheelchair was difficult because the racks were so close. To me the store looked junky. My Mom bought four tops and a watch. I paid with her credit card. I noticed that one of the tops was 75% off and made a comment how pleased I was. In a few days I got a call from my Mom that she wanted to take three tops back because they were falling off of her shoulders. I took her tops and receipt back to the store. I noticed the receipt said no refunds, store credit only. I decided to look for a sign that said no refund. Guess where it was? On the wall with a blouse over it. I had to look for someone to get their attention that I had a return. Finally, when the lady (same one) came I asked her why the sign was covered. Her response was that it had been there for years and I must be a new customer. I told her the sign should be in full view. She then continued to tell me the top that was 75% off was a final sale and would not even give me store credit. I told her that I had no idea it was a final sale. She said we tell all of our customers when they check out. At that point I told her that I was not told because I even said something about the price at the time. She was condescending and said, "Honey that's been our policy for years and if you weren't a new customer you would know that." I told her, "well honey, I'll make sure to give you a bad review on yelp, and you better have your sign in full view for people. My Mom has credit at that store, but I will never step foot in there again. They know exactly what they are doing by hiding that sign! I told my Mom to shop at a reputable store like Kohls or Penneys and stay away from shafty places like Shers. I also suggested she give her store credit to the woman who lives at her place. read more

What a wonderful place to shop. At one time I would have described it as a store for mature women, not after taking my great-niece there & her finding several items. She is college age & loved what she found. Clothes are very comfortable to wear & wash like a dream. I wash them, then hang to dry. With in an hour of hanging they are back in the closet & ready to go again. Best bonus they pack & travel beautifully. read more

This is a great store! There are so many different dresses and tops! The sales associate ladies made helpful suggestions and I even bought a dress she selected for me. My uncle has a hard time getting around and they brought a chair over for him to use when we tried on clothes.
