Today I finally stopped in with enough time to browse this lovely boutique and lo and behold discovered if you make a Brighton $100 purchase you receive a free darling holiday "Love Dove" cross-body bag. It's very rare to find a small boutique that has similar offers as big box retailers. I was immediately impressed as I had in mind a gorgeous arm cuff (bracelet) I had seen during prior visits. What was even more impressive was that my cuff totaled $98 and while most retailers would make you buy something else to reach the full $100 before tax, they honored that amount and gifted me the free cross-body bag anyway!! So needless to say, I decided to get a second piece from them, after all. (Pic) I'm in love with my new Brighton jewelry pieces and with their great customer service. Also, today I met the owner who's name, I share - Millie. What a sweet lady who immediately drew me into conversation with her warm personality and her apology for having a stack of envelopes on the floor as she was shipping out orders. Turns out, Millie was elated that she sells an item that was featured by Oprah as one of her annual holiday favorite things - a combo key/phone finder keychain fob called "Orbit" (see pic) and was overjoyed with the amount of orders she received as a result of Oprah favs! One of the best thing to find out was that Millie's price for the "Orbit" is $32 while many other retailers is selling it as high as $40. Thus the pile of orders she was shipping out today. (See pic) This seals my love for boutique shopping and for bringing her my business. As I I told the owner this is my favorite boutique in Broward county. Such elegant and unique finds and warm, friendly and fair people.

There is a wide selection of colors and patterns and the jeans fit my booty (which is hard to do, I normally have the issue of the waist is too loose or I can not really walk because of how tight it is in the hips and thighs). This is one of my favorite stores. The store owner is also amazing she knows the colors that look good on you and picks out outfits. The only thing is it is on the expensive side.

I'd seen online that JCPenney carried a particular brand of an item that I'd debated buying without trying on (online). I decided to stop by and see that item "in person" before purchasing it. Plus, if the store had what I needed, it would save me shipping costs and wait time. There weren't many staff visible in the store, either. But I did find someone to put me in the right direction of the section of the store that I was seeking. I wandered around browsing the merchandise. At no time was anyone nearby to offer any help or to answer any questions. That turned out to be okay, as they had a similar brand, but not the ones that they claimed they carried in-store. And this other brand didn't have the features I desired. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to buy the items that I needed here. Again, this isn't a place that I normally shop. And I see that others don't either. I do have memories of this store being here way back when the mall was a different configuration within an enclosed set up. At that time, they were popular and a major anchor. Times have changed just a bit.

And, though I have little expertise in it, I don't think you need a lot of expertise to spot quality products at what are more than reasonable prices, and this place seems to have them. Though many of the items may be dated in style, I think it would be difficult to tell, but more to the point, numerous articles of clothing are what I could easily recognize as being among those often sought after gems of "period" dresses; those seemingly immortal evergreens of women's fashion that perpetually exude themselves in fashion statement style. Indeed Up 2 $20 might be the perfect place to acquire that dress or fashion accessories for a "Period Party." I know I've seen similar offered in some of those chic Las Olas location stores but at far, far more than the $20 maximum price of the items sold here.

One of the things I really like about Home Goods are the unique infused cooking oils, sauces, herbs and spices that they carry which you most likely will not find in a super market. Then again, also at a price better than you'd find in any super market. When I was here I was delighted to find a bottle of rosemary infused olive oil which was perfect on the lamb roast I was doing. Most of the home decorator items and other home furnishings are low end, next to zero quality and so cheap that the only bargain is in their cheapness; which is really no bargain at all. However, there are other items that give me reason to really adore this place such as low priced top of the line olive oils, various infused oils, particularly truffle oils, pasta toppings, coffees, jellies, jams, marmalades, wild caught canned fish, pestos and every now and then some really terrific, brand name exotic food finds at prices less than half of what they are in the gourmet or specialty food shops. I've also found some really great deals on various indestructible (seeming indestructible for everyone else but not by me) Teflon cooking items.
