When I politely pointed out the error, she became defensive and blamed me for not showing her my phone clearly enough (which I had already done). Her tone shifted from dismissive to confrontational. What made this worse: * No greeting when I entered the store * No acknowledgment or offer of assistance until I approached the counter myself * Became visibly irritated when I corrected her spelling mistake * Accused me of being unclear after I had already shown her the correct spelling multiple times. I left without the part. If you're going to work in customer service, basic courtesy and patience should be the baseline. AutoZone's competition will gladly earn my business if this is the standard here. What's even worse is customer service like this is one of the reasons companies would rather incorporate AI agents than hire people to interact with customers. This could have been an easy sale.
