There is a cashier named Aman who ruins the whole experience for me. She invites customers to invade each others' personal space. She does not even have the receipt fully out of the machine or the items bagged, but she is calling up the next person. She has to repeat herself because a lot of us were waiting for the previous customer to walk away before we stepped up. I wonder if there is some type of transaction quota that Ross established. Either way, next time I'm there if she does it again, I will speak up and say I'm waiting to not invade his/her personal space as I point to the previous customer. I will also tell the next person in line to wait for me to walk away before walking up no matter what Aman says. read more

I was shopping first thing in the morning in order not to be around the crowds. What do I see two kids touching everything mom and grandmother say nothing. Sneezing no Kleenex but that seems to be okay. Wonder why there is more outbreaks my guess is people can't follow direction. This place used to be my favorite Ross, but recently it's fallen apart! Employees seem to lack knowledge and don't want to be there, and the new management is absolutely clueless!! If you're looking for a Ross that is stocked and knows what they are doing, do yourself a favor and skip this one. Worst shopping experience ever!! Ross can be random at times since the more people that visit, the more the items are all in different places of the store. I was able to find two nice plain T shirts which cost me $13.02 total. The customer service was excellent too. It's a great place for people looking for cheap clothes. read more

Its not the best Ross this side of town and really I have only found 2 Ross stores where they send all the really good stuff in Phoenix. This is not one of them, in fact it seems that when stuff doesnt sell from other Ross stores it gets placed here. I frequent this Ross a lot mind you when I am in the mood for cheap t-shirts and shorts. That said it has a good selection of the usual Ross stuff, just not the best makes. It gets busy at times but no real pattern. read more

Seven people in line with one cashier. Everyone had full shopping carts. We were third in line and still stood there for twenty minutes. They didn't bring in a second cashier until the line was at least 12 deep. The store needs to have automated checkout, like the grocery stores, if they're going to keep staffing low. It might save their customers money by having low employee costs, but time is more valuable than money. read more

Poorly marked prices on merchandise. Associates at counter didn't want to help and were charging us whatever they felt like despite telling them to verify discrepancy in correct size pricing. Cannot believe how lazy employees have become, they rather lose a sale than work hard to please a customer. Store manager nowhere in the picture to resolve. This is definatley the best Ross I've ever been in. Haven't had the luck for clothing for myself, but everyone I go with does. But the other dept. And items available are outstanding. Great range of items and good quality. Store is always clean and employees are so nice. Was out shopping with a friend before going to see a movie. It was 106 degrees outside so we first stopped at Starbucks for some iced drinks. Out drinks both had lids. Upon entering Ross we were immediately asked to throw out our drinks or leave. We left. It's 106 outside in Phoenix, AZ. Ross is located in an OUTDOOR strip mall. My drink had a lid on it. I am 30 years old, not some obnoxious child. read more

I don't really come here for clothes or purses or anything other than specifics. I love getting stuff for my bathroom here that is cute and cheap. Although I usually have to pop by a few different locations to find something good. Each location never has the same stuff as the other one. And usually I can find shoes cheap here as well and some of them that I've purchased for $14 had lasted me wearing them 7 days a week for years. I was super depressed when they finally broke because they were my favorite ones. I generally don't like their clothing selection and they are kind of strict on walking in with drinks. Like really? Everywhere you go allows you to have drinks and walk around but Ross is the only store I know about that is not a museum that forbids drinks in it. They want you to set them on the counter where people walking by can roofie them or spit in them or do god knows what to them. I'd rather leave my drink in the car. And the security guards that stand next to the door are a little off putting. It makes me feel uncomfortable walking in there. read more

This is an okay location as for organization and the store was pretty clean. However the cashier's are ONLY when you are making purchases. When making a return with tags still attached and receipt in hand they make you wait and wait in line. Then they are rude. I purchased a girls pair of MK shoes. My daughter wore them twice and they literally started coming apart while she was wearing them at school. Talk about embarrassing for my 10year old. So much for buying brand name. read more

It's 4 stars as far as Ross's go, but Ross really should be a 3* review every time anyway. Oh well, I'm feeling generous. Friendly staff on 4th of July... chatted with the girl manning the fitting rooms and she was pumped for fireworks. If I could I would leave no stars. The night time manager named Ele is beyond rude! He gave me a hard time about a return and then ended up doing it anyway. I was adhering to their return policy but he insisted on making it difficult for me. I will be calling the corporate office to file a complaint. He was so rude that the cashier kept apologizing on his behalf. This is a messy store with scarce merchandise. Worst Ross in the area for sure. What a horrible experience. Oh my I am super fan of Ross , but why is it that there's always a poor reception ???? Is it because a girl like me will research everything before I make a great investment ? from beauty essentials, to hair products vanity accessories ,and everything else as long as there's good reception and great signal to search for your products. I always come in with the question of ¿ Is this garment or product worth the reduced amount that it is in retail for ? I spend most of time researching on amazon and other places to check its competence anyways , they had great stuff today , I ended up taking one of their hair straightners and mirrors. I was just double charged for an item. The amount was just high enough to easily be missed. Over the last few weeks this has happened to me at a few different places of business, not just Ross and it got me thinking. What if it wasn't just a mistake but employees were told by management to double scan every once in awhile? Or maybe employees are double scanning and keeping the difference themselves? Either way, we waited in line for over 20 minutes, left the store and had to come back in again to fix the receipt. I have used this store for over 2 years and loved it. For Christmas I got my grandpa some shoes looked like they had never been opened tape was still on and when he opened them they were two different shoes. I took them back to the store and they said it wasn't their fault and there was nothing they'd do. They offered me $5 when the shoes cost $25.99. Absolutely unacceptable and will not be returning. Manager was extremely rude and walked away while I was talking to her. Will be calling corporate because that is unacceptable as a business in general. I went there one time and paid with my one hundred dollar bill and they tried it on the machine but it was giving a red light even though we got it from the bank. They called the manager and he threw it in our face after trying it himself and said that it's fake. One of the cashiers looks at it on the light and knew it was real and told him then he believed us. But their treatment was trash. read more

I had a positive experience here a few months ago and I'm finally getting around to writing this. I had a need to return shoes purchased from a different Ross as I was getting ready to head out of town for a very special event. I realized I had forgotten the receipt when I (finally) got to the counter. Customer service could have easily have turned me away, but didn't, for which I was thankful. read more

Its a very big shop but could only find very few collections. Also the things are soo scattered that we could not find what we were looking for. The dresses are all imported form India, Bangladesh and other countries as I could see them on the tags. I think the dresses are not that expensive but the quality is also not upto the mark. read more

So I have been into this place twice and both times left me swearing I was gonna torch the place. If you ever want a good example of how not to treat customers this would be it. The manager was even arrogant and rude. First time we went in we got a set of glasses that weighed a lot so i managed to get the cart into middle of the street before the front end manager came running out the door to tell me that I must bring the cart back. I asked her if I could just take my glasses to the car laughing and saying they were heavy. she replied absolutely not, bring it back inside now. so I left the cart in the middle of the street and walked away with my purchases and told her to get it herself if it was that big a deal for her. She shouted happy holidays to you too. I flipped her off and walked away. The next time I went in with my 14 year old cousin. As I am walking in I had a coke in my hand from one of the restaurants there and I was told i needed to not carry it through the store. The security guy told me he would hold it for me If I liked. I told him I was done with it and asked if they had a trash can at the counter. They told me I would have to go back outside the store to throw away the soda. June 1, 2018, only one cashier long line with at least seven people waiting ahead of me. I mention this to the cashier and she said well the line usually goes quickly. She never even bothered to say hello or look up at me. She was busy talking with another employee she said it's not a long wait and I retorted it is if you're one waiting in line to which she had no response this same long line scenario occurred a week ago as well. I do get a great deal on good quality clothes or I would not shop there. I just have to resign myself to awful customer service. And a management doesn't seem to care. I have asked twice on previous visits for an additional cash year. Why should the customer have to ask? On a scale of good to bad customer service Chick-fil-A is the best and Ross is the worst.
