I was hurt last July. And ambulance had to take me to the hospital. Their insurance company, Sedgewick, was supposed to send a check to pay for bills etc...I filed a claim, signed all documents and was supposed to get a check in December. I have not received anything as of yet. I have called, emailed, filed a complaint etc. .they just ignore me. Sedgewick is terrible and they are treating me unfairly. Ross has to know how that company is, yet still uses them. They have had thousands of complaints! read more

Generally I buy brand or better quality if I buy at Ross. I purchased this Reebok branded water bottle as a xmas gift for my grandson. After using I hand washed with Dawn spray dish detergent, the logo started smearing under the sponge ! Ross customer service refused to take return they stated I must have used polish remover or paint thinner to remove, or why would I place another sticker on the bottle. This is completely illogical.I refuse to ever shop Ross stores in the future! I refused to argue with staff, they offered no recourse. My time is not worth this and they were not respectful of myself as a customer. They didn't have a huge selection of men's clothing, and my son was disappointed. He said that the store is basically 80% women's clothing and accessories and 20% men's. I'm a little relieved he didn't find anything because: A) Their checkout line was ridiculously long and B) One pair of underwear was over $20.00! For about the same price we found a 6 pack online! They had one pair of underwear for men in an XS for around $1.20. That would be more like it, but it was the wrong size. I took a photo of a few items I thought were cute, but they aren't very useful to us. Just nice to look at. Maybe they will find a forever home with another nice family! (A toddler dress and a men's sweatshirt). We don't normally shop at Ross. May or may not be back. We shall see. read more

I've been a big Ross shopper for years, I've spent thousands of dollars at many different locations across California. However the one on Mchenry Avenue in my hometown of Modesto decided today to falsely accuse me of shoplifting. Asking me to leave the store. I've heard of this happening to other people as well, they're pretty notorious for slanderous acts. It's a big problem with their loss prevention. They lost a pretty big customer today. Never going back to any of them. I highly recommend just shopping at Burlington, much better selection anyway. read more

I need to talk to someone about my experience with your store concerning my local Ross store employees and management making false claims calling me a theif infront of other customers... Googling slander you can see that many lawsuits have happened because similar situations happened to other innocent individuals like myself before. I am disabled in that I have a severe form of tardive dyskinesia, complex movement tic disorder that causes involuntary movements of my body especially my arms and face. I also overheard your staff saying negative things about the way I moved. I had headphones on but they weren't powered on so I'm assuming that's why the staff was loud talking negatively like that to one another and in front of other customers. I tried to talk to the manager about this, I asked her for the number of corporate and she reluctantly got out a small piece of receipt tape paper that she said had a phone number for corporate on the backside. The receipt says the phone number is for questions regarding check inquiries so I don't know if it's even the correct number. I tried to talk to the manager Susan about the situation but she was very rude and in the middle of me trying to talk to her she turned around and walked away in the middle of me asking her a question. Is that Ross protocol to walk away when a paying customer asks you a question? And yes I was a paying customer. I made a purchase and I'm treated horribly like this? Is it Ross policy to perform hate crimes like this? I really like shopping at Ross, it used to be my favorite store actually so I wanted to inform you and give you the company a chance to respond before contacting the American Association of People with Disabilities and other similar groups. The customer service in this Ross location is horrible, to say at the very least. They definitely can be taught some customer service skills. Not one of the 3 cashiers can do returns but the fourth that could, kept taking from the line that had one person in it that came after me not once but 3 times. The only person that acknowledged me was the security guard, which he was polite. I will not be returning. read more

This store is convenient since it is on McHenry, near the new Target, and Barns and Nobel. However, the selection is really picked over. The lines are disorganized so people don't realize there is a "returns" line and a "purchase" line. I came to this Ross to find items for my new apartment, but they did not have a good selection of the kitchen items that I needed. I went to Target, spent way more, just to find exactly what I was looking for at the Ross on Oakdale for a much more reasonable prince. Needless to say, I took my items back to Target the same day to get my money back. read more

On Christmas eve as I go to pay. At 4 p.m. the associate 604233 was on a good one. Tweaking full force she had a difficult time removing hangers, she could not stand still too much going on. The associate next to her was just looking at her like WOW bitch!! Plus had a hard time giving me back my change. Ross managers please revise ur cameras on her. I needed a dress for an upcoming wedding and happened to be near this newly opened Ross. I found a dress AND shoes for $30! What a deal! The store was still clean and organized, but I'm sure it wont last long, just like every other Ross. My cashier was the best part. I'm a bigger women so it's hard to find clothing that fits me they always have plenty of options to choose from in their clothing section! Do NOT go to this Ross location if it is an hour before closing! I got to the fitting room at 9:35, the store closes at 10:30, but I was denied entry to the fitting room! Like seriously? I asked the lady 10 seconds after a man took his kids in to use the restroom. I had only ONE shirt I wanted to try on. That's okay, I'm sure you guys don't care about losing one person's business, because I don't care about trying to keep you with a job either. The manager was right there & he OK'd it, I couldn't believe it. No, I could. Because few minutes before I asked to use the fitting room, I overheard the manager & the staff working the fitting room talking about someone! They gave no f*cks that I was right there. The person they were talking about could've been an employee I knew that was working there. You two are soo unprofessional! After I was denied entry, I put all my clothes back on the rack. I should've just handed it to the girl! I went and rang up my hair roller rods at the front and the nice young lady (Tiffany I think?) in the front asked me if I found everything I needed. I told her yes except I couldn't try on my shirt & I asked her what time their fitting room closed. She told me about 15-20 mins before closing. I told her I was denied entry for some reason. She actually APOLOGIZED to me & she did nothing! But that definitely was really sweet and professional on her part. Thank you Tiffany(?)! Horrible service there.
