The selection is very large, and constantly being stocked. The prices are low and I always find gorgeous high end purses and cute t shirts. Only negative thing is that the lines are long, service is slow, and store seems to be constantly understaffed. read more

Let me start off by saying I have a mini obsession for Ross stores. I live in Stockton , but work in Modesto... So I stop at all of them along the way. This one has to be the WORSE as far as customer service. There is always a exxxxxttttrrraaaa long line at this store and they are rude. So i guess "store policy" is call up the next customer before your receipt is even printed out when you are making your purchase. I can't stand that, but am used to it. On this day I had my bank money bag out and credit card out , the worker calls next customer up . I am irritated by this since my money bag is out. Then she goes even further , while I still am putting my reciept away.... She tells the customer to place her items on the counter with my money and credit card. Really? Have some common sense. I was not taking long at all, no respect for my personal belongings. Im hurrying and drop my credit card as I'm leaving, thank goodness I noticed I dropped it. I ask to speak to management and notify her that I am upset. She gives me a whole speech on how they are timed at the register and I would have to call cooperate. Timed or not, use your head! You don't have the next customer throw thier items damn near on top of your personal items. The table top is small, no excuse for this! read more

Visiting from out of town and am a Ross fan. This location appears as if it's on the verge of closing. Extremely low selection, the jewellery department is virtually nonexistant. Extremely understaffed, only one cashier with ten costumers waiting in line. Costumers are being asked to remove items from hangers for faster service. Returns after given preference to people waiting in line. Very awkward feeling to be greeted by security guard upon arrival. Huge mess in all departments. Very unfortunate, shopping at Ross is usually a good experience. read more

I love Ross! At this store (Ceres, CA) there is one cashier that is extremely rude. Second time going there and she's been rude both times.

I realize this is a fairly new location for Ross, however this is the most disorganized mess of a store I have ever been in. There was nearly as many clothes on the floor than there was on the racks, it looks like the place had been ravaged by savages. I am a fan of Ross stores as there are occasionally some good deals to be had, but I really hope this new location receives some much needed attention. read more

Not only is this the most most unorganized Ross I've been to, but the lines are ridiculous. Stuff all over the ground and nothing where it belongs. Tonight I stood in line for 15 minutes cause only one cashier was open. Why have 6 stands if you only ever open one? And to top the cake for a third time now the lady gave me my receipt but "forgot" to give me any change... how fucking incompetent can you be? This Ross is really small. It has a token men's department. Men's department is nearly non existant. So men don't waste your time here. I can't speak for women. I never write a bad review but I was really put off by this. read more

Disorganized, Messy and only one cashier with a line of 10 plus people, and she does the returns aswell...

Well I don't even know where to start. I was just in the store and I watched a little kid grab a big bag of candy and hide it behind her back so her parents couldn't see it because they were busy purchasing other stuff. The loss prevention lady look at the little girl with the big bag of candy and disregarded her probably because she didn't realize what was happening. So I waited until I seen them go all the way to the door to see if anybody was going to catch this. Of course they didn't. So I let the cashier know right as they were walking out that that little girl just stole a bag of candy. The cashier asked me she stole it? And I said yes her parents don't even know but she's just stole that bag of candy. I don't know maybe it's just me but little kids around four or five years old shouldn't get in the habit of stealing and get away with it...who knows what they will steal when they're older. What floored me the most is I told the cashier and she totally disregarded what I said and ignored it and continued to ring me up like she never heard me tell her. And on the way out the loss prevention lady told me bye have a nice day. SMH I guess it's fair game at Ross. read more

I love ross but sadly this location is a disappointment. There is hardly any selection of home decor, 2 isles to be exact, and the boys toddler clothes is half a rack of clothes ONLY!. Wont be spending my money here, I'll just drive a bit more to modesto or turlock Ross read more

Terrible customer service. Happy I found some cute items but I'm willing to drive to Turlock or Modesto just because they were that bad. The only words from the cashier were "cash or card?" and my total... Then she walked away when the transaction was apparently finished. I had no clue we were finished. Worst customer service! The cashier was very rude. As I walked away I noticed my bag was torn and I asked for my item to be re-bagged, she just handed me a bag and as I asked if she can help me because I had other items and bags in my hand she told me no because she was being "timed" ringing up another customer so I was left looking like a fool In The middle of the cashier aisle trying to bag my item. I really hate that I spent my money there and would rather take it to a store that appreciates it and shows their customers that appreciation with good customer service. read more

I live in Turlock and I usually shop at Turlock Ross, but unfortunately this time I could not find what I needed at Turlock, so I decided to go to the nearest Ross store which is at Hatch Rd, Ceres. I never had been there before, and this was my first time going there. The store was a mess, and I was shocked. I tried to find what I needed but I couldn't, so I saw an associate who was putting items in a shelve. I asked her if she is working there, she said "Yeeee", she didn't ask me if I needed any help. So I asked her if she knows where to find what I needed. She told me "I am working in the stock room and I am not familiar with the floor, I cannot help you." I never have seen such customer service before. I asked her name she said  "Yazmine". Then I asked her if I can talk to her manager, She said, "I am the manager". At that point I was speechless, and I left my cart and walked away. I will never ever go back to that store again. I am so happy that we have Ross at Turlock. They have better customer crevice in comparison with Ross at Ceres. read more
