I had an incredible dentist growing up who saw me through teeth pulling, retainers, braces and more retainers. After I moved to Edmonton I tried out a few dentists and was just not super happy with the service or care. I was introduced to Dr. Donison through my now husband as he's been a patient of his for some time. Dr Donison is an excellent dentist who genuinely cares for his patients. He does a very thorough job of checking and then explaining exactly what's going on. He is very professional and kind in his mannerism and it's the first time I've felt like I can relax and trust that he knows what's best. I've only ever had one cavity and after multiple attempts by previous dentists, resulting in half of my tooth breaking off, it is finally fixed... And for good, thanks to Dr Donison! I have been going here since 2011-2012(?) and my fear of the dentist no longer exists. I first went here based off of online reviews (outside of yelp) and its location/proximity to where I live. I was not disappointed my first time and every other time after that. I came here because I needed to, I hadn't visited the dentist for regular cleaning/checkups in over a decade. The only dentist I saw in that time was referred to me by family for an emergency wisdom teeth extraction. I was absolutely horrified since and refused to see the dentist. I never flossed, and I grind my teeth A LOT. But coming here, I was warmly welcomed by the staff and on my visit, my insurance (Sun Life) was accepted right away. I didn't like the first hygienist I saw here. Mind you - I had 10+ years of no flossing calcified plaque buildup and extremely inflamed gums, that could be why she was rough and I was in a lot of pain. HOWEVER, since then I have been seeing Melanie as my hygienist, and she's the end-all-be-all reason on why I'm NOT afraid anymore. She is extremely gentle and a really sweet personality. You have to floss and brush 2x a day people, so that both your hygienist and dentist go easy on you. I've seen Dr. Donison a couple of times and he's so nice and knowledgeable. He taught me a lot about the health of my mouth and taught me a few neat things about it. He truly cares about what he does. All the other annual checkups I do are with Dr. Antoniuk (?, I'm awfully forgetful, I THINK that's her name), and she's really awesome, just like Dr. Donison. I will continue to go here in the future and because of their staff and service, I'm no longer afraid to go see the dentist! read more

Dr Donison is as good as it gets! He was my family dentist in Saskatoon, and after I moved to Edmonton I was thrilled to find out that he was now practicing here. One of the things that sucks about moving from a place you've lived your whole life is the support infrastructure that makes it easier is lost. No doctor. No dentist. No favourite corner deli. You have to start all over. I was lucky, and found a new, great dentist in Edmonton. Dr. Donison is a super nice guy and he and his loyal staff do excellent work. Maxine, the front desk lady, has been there forever and she about 70 years old and knows every body by name. Dr. D has a high-end cappuccino maker in his waiting room that's free and anyone can use during a visit. The space is also really nice. In the dental offices he's installed wooden rafters to add warmth and ambiance to an otherwise typical office space. He also has a cool white bird mobile hanging from the ceiling over one of the dental chairs, so as you're getting your teeth done you can watch the tiny little birds moving above you. Very peaceful. Dr. D is so busy and committed to his practice he's taken on a partnership with a new dentist from Saskatchewan. They're even considering opening shop in the southside as well. Who likes going to the dentist?! At least Dr. D's good nature and nice touches make the experience a little more pleasant. read more

Dr. Ross Donison is the best dentist I have ever seen & one of the nicest people I have ever met in my life. The atmosphere is so comfortable (TV's, massage chairs, magazines & the best part painless). The staff are incredibly caring, always so friendly & remember you. Most people dread going to the dentist. Dr. Donison & his staff couldn't make going to the dentist a better experience. They are awesome! I would like to share my experience that I have met Miranda, she is a perfect Hygiene Cleaner, she cleaned my teeth perfectly and gently.
