The cakes seem to be mostly order ahead, so we didn't get to try those, but there were lots of goodies like cookies, cupcakes, chocolate roll slices, cream puffs, mini pies, dessert breads, and fried hand pies available to purchase for $1-1.50 apiece. Very reasonable prices, everything clearly freshly baked, and something I really liked was that her little pre-packaged cookie bags and hand pies had ingredients listed on them, so if you have allergy problems it's all very clearly labeled. The interior of the shop looks meticulously renovated; its bright, very clean, and she offers you free coffee at a little coffee nook in the shop, which is such a sweet touch. The exterior is VERY unassuming in a lot with a chain link fence kind of tucked off the street in a little whitewashed brick building. Don't be thrown off by the exterior or the locale - the hand-lettered vintage style sign with a cupcake on it will point the way to a wonderful ten minute stop for dessert.
