Late dinner and beers. One of our favorite dinner spots for authentic German food. They only spoke German so it was great to have our son with us who has been living in Berlin for the last 3 years and knew enough German to assist us. It's a cozy corner spot with very cool family style bench seating around low cocktail tables. I believe it doubles as a coffee spot during the day so you can see it's set up for people to hang out. My friends and I wanted to try a breakfast venue. After some research Rosi had great reviews. We did sleep in, It was great that they served breakfast until 4pm. When we arrived, I loved the interior of the venue. It looked like to could've been a lounge in the past. There was a breakfast item that was for 2 people it included a salmon omelette, a crossaint with berries, cheese, fruit, meat slices and 2 glasses of prosecco. It was a great deal and a lot of food. This restaurant was our first stop in Munich, conveniently located near our hotel. We ordered breakfast and were pretty much the only ones there, enjoying a big table by a large window. I had potatoes with eggs and bacon, while my partner had muesli. Both dishes were delicious. My favorite part was the orange marmalade and bread basket that came with my breakfast. A wonderful cozy stop for a mid morning breakfast, or early lunch depending on the time you show up! Have a hot cup of kaffee, with a drop of cream is how I like it, or maybe a beer, this is Germany! The service here is excellent, and please don't stress the waitresses out by expecting them to speak perfect English, they try and I tried some German as well! The food was delivered quickly and steaming hot, with a delicious basket of assorted breads for the table. Don't be unnerved by the color of your egg yolks, that is the proof of their freshness, and if you order (Weisswurst) white sausage, it just might be in what looks like a soup terrine of hot water because it is boiled! If you are a fan of breakfast skillets, try the Deftig, a mix of fried potatoes with onions, bacon, cheese and eggs. It comes with more fabulous bread and a small pot of butter and berry jam, superb! Prices are very reasonable, a full breakfast will cost between 10-15 depending on your order and drink. The attitudes around tipping vary depending on where you are, while tipping isn't always expected in certain spaces, it is always greatly appreciated! Remember, if you are visiting during Oktoberfest, millions of tourists are in town as well, so make sure you are treating the service staff everywhere with a bit of compassion for the crowds, and always with respect! Super cute and cozy atmosphere here with friendly staff. We stumbled upon this place for breakfast as it was near our hotel and were surprised at how packed it was. We were seated at the bar since there were no other seats but that was perfectly fine. We had omelette and caffe lattes, the coffee was very good and so was the food. We went on a Friday evening for dinner. Rosi was full of 20-something patrons dining, drinking and having fun. My wife had spaetzl and I had penne with tomatoes and buratta. Both were very good with enormous portions- could have easily shared one. No other English-speakers in the place, but communicating was never an issue. This was very close to our hotel and we walked past it every night for a week while I said I wanted to give it a try because it was always busy and looked like a nice place. I was under the impression it was just a coffee house type wine bar, but we finally had a wonderful dinner here our last night in Munich and we loved it! Asparagus was in season when we dined so we chose two items to eat: asparagus with soft potatoes and hollandaise with salmon and a large ricotta and seared zucchini salad with fresh veggies. Both were wonderful. For dessert, we chose the kaiserschmarren which is essentially cut warm pancakes with some almonds and raisins cooked in butter with either apple or plum sauce and some confectionary sugar on top. It's decadent and heavy and made fresh when ordered (the menu warns it could be 30 minutes) and it was rich and yummy. Highly recommend, but it's heavy, and a huge portion, so be prepared! Tons of coffee and drinks available also (soda, juice, hot teas). Both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. They have a huge menu loaded with delicious items. Tons of salads and fresh foods if you are trying to be healthy and some fresh pastries and pies for dessert. They are also known for breakfast and brunch apparently with a very large breakfast menu with things like muesli, yogurt, waffles, Benedicts, eggs, etc. Very impressed with this spot - our server was very friendly and the decor inside is great with very nice, clean restrooms. read more

We went to Rosi for breakfast, and we really enjoyed this place. The ambience, decoration and service are great! The place looks modern and has great food options. We had the Gesund breakfast -- which came with an avocado toast, eggs, granola + yogurt and green smoothie. The latte was very good as well. Absolutely delicious! The perfect breakfast to start our day of exploring Munich... and well-worth the 25 minute walk. Waitstaff was kind and helpful, restaurant was beautiful, and right near the river. I ordered a chai latte, and it was one of the best chais I've ever had. Einfach breakfast was a hit, and was a great chance to try a traditional German breakfast. Deftig was absolutely delicious and a ton of food! Omelettes are HUGE and probably enough for 2. This place opened a few months ago and styled with retro and modern interiors. Lots of bulbs hanging from the ceiling lighting up the place in soft lighting. It's fairly big with an open kitchen in the back and a long bar in the middle. Menu is small and they have options for breakfast and dinner. Drinks list is good and they have Maxlrain beer on tap. I chose to have the linguini with asparagus and scampi. Food tasted ok and I would give it a 3 at the most. The profiteroles for dessert were also ok and nothing special. I had a schwarzbier and it was really good. They gave us some hazelnut vodka on our way out and I wouldn't know if it was any good. Service here is ok and the coffee is also quite ok. I would come back here again for the ambience and perhaps come for breakfast or brunch and give the food another chance. A nice location for a meal or drink prior to the theatre in the area. read more
