There was a hidden credit card fee on the bill even though I was not paying by credit card. Very tacky and dishonest when restaurants do this. I asked to have it removed and was surprised the staff didn't even apologize. I know of one company that had their event and here and most everyone got sick from food poisoning. Aside from the service and food, the positive note is that this restaurant is beautiful. read more

Beautiful atmosphere with a delightful view of broadway. Make note, you need reservations on the busier mornings! I'm not a big breakfast sausage person but the house sausage they use on the breakfast sandwich is truly something else. The stuffed French toast was fantastic but I couldn't finish it! For being a nicer place the portions are bigger than expected. read more

Rosewild - Stuffed French Toast - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Fargo, North Dakota

We stopped by for a late lunch. The place was empty - it was a very late lunch. It took the staff a while to recognize we were there but were friendly and quick to take and deliver our beverages and take our order. The food was high quality and tasty. The reason for four stars was simply portion size relative to price for an entree salad with chicken. While slightly larger than a side salad it was smaller than expected for a $20 entree salad, even for lunch. It was delicious though! (Salads in the photo appear larger than reality- the bowl was about 1.5 inches tall and 8-9" wide). read more

Overall I very much enjoyed my experience with Rosewild. We got the chef's menu since we were there for a special occasion, and they were able to accommodate my nut allergy. The seating was pleasant and so were the staff we encountered. It was a fun experience, although my partner left hungry which was unfortunate. We got to try some interesting things, but one course was simply about half a carrot. For $125/person (with our drinks), we would just order off of the menu and I'm sure we'd be very satisfied. We will definitely come back! read more

Enjoyed the chefs choice dinner. It was fabulous. Wonderful wine list. Service was great. Wood fire oven set the mood for my date and I as soon as we walked in. Worth every penny. read more

I have been here a few times and I REALLY want to like it but I just don't. The food is underwhelming and the service has been poor. I was invited back due to poor service to try them again. I wanted the chef's choice but that is not allowed if a person is alone. Even though the portions are individual. So it seems like a really strange "rule". So I had the bison sirloin. It was like chewing gum. It was really hard to eat and I ended up only having a few bites. They have good appetizers and some of the food is good, however, for the money, there are FAR better options in Fargo to pick from. As I said, I really wanted to like this place, but it just isn't good enough for me to pay that much for such poor service and food. read more

We arrived on their evening when they have a limited bar menu. The music is fabulously uplifting and the lounge is spacious and comfortable. Highly recommend! The staff was VERY accommodating to my partner who has extensive food allergies. In fact, The chef, Katherine, came out to talk about food possibilities to our table and spent 5 minutes asking questions. Katherine is obviously passionate about her career. She created a beautiful salad and vegetable dish from such limited options because of my partners' restrictions. Katherine then hand delivered us our meal and recapped exactly how she prepared it all. IMPRESSIVE !!! Visit this hit spot !!! read more

The server was super sweet and very willing to help us out when we mentioned having food allergies. Everything we ordered was delicious!

We decided it was finally time to check out the "new place" downtown & were so glad that we did. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting and our server was very kind and attentive. We went with the chef's choice on the menu and each thing that was brought out became our new favorite thing. Overall, I think the coffee cured braised pork & creamed corn (forgot to take a picture) was our favorite with the smoked whitefish dip to start being very close behind. I tried two different cocktails and both were DELICIOUS. Looking forward to trying more things from the menu. read more

Awesome place to eat in Fargo. The service was excellent. The food was great. Also had wonderful drinks.

Excellent service, beautiful decor, even the restrooms were spectacular. The food though... I am quite adventurous - the food for the most part was a bit off. I would be willing to try again since the service and atmosphere was great. Maybe next time we will just come for drinks instead! Thanks for the wonderful evening! read more

I am incredibly dissatisfied with the service and food I received while eating in the lounge section of Rosewild for dinner. I have been to Rosewild many times before and I have enjoyed the food but this time I was disappointed enough to leave a review. I ordered the Tagliatelle pasta and It tasted like they dumped a pound of salt on it. I could not eat it! I asked our server if it was supposed to be this salty, he continued to say that the chefs said it was fine. I felt like I was being looked down upon. He did take the meal off the tab but did not apologize, making the whole experience even worse! read more

Over priced for the quality and quantity. The chef must be on vacation. Nothing here was worth returning!

Terrible customer experience today. I've been in the past and had great food and service. Not sure I would come back after today though. We had stayed as guests in the hotel and decided to get brunch before leaving town. We arrived at the restaurant check in desk around 10:15. There was no one there for quite some time so we had to go track someone down. We had to wait about 30 minutes for a table and ended up waiting over an hour for food. We were told they were sold out of the quiche which was surprising less than an hour into their brunch service. The tables around us sat dirty the entire time we were there. No one came to refill our drinks either. I was shocked at the overall lack of staffing and attention to the cleanliness and guests. Not one person apologized for the delays. One of the food runners was even snotty when we asked about a missing side of bacon. His comment was - "I only have 2 hands". It would have been disappointing regardless, but especially as a paying hotel guest. We likely won't be back. read more

I had the fantastic 12-course meal for New Year's Eve. It was a great experience. The most impressive courses were the canapés and the duck. The first canapé was soft to the palate but full of flavors. The second was an oyster with foam that was savory. The last canapé was crunchy and yummy. The duck was medium rare to raw. However, the taste was exquisite, a combination of steak and chicken flavors with a hint of smokiness. Although it was cooked unevenly, it was delicious. read more

What an experience for the senses! We chose the "chef's choice" experience where there is a six course meal selected by the chef. Everything was an explosion of flavor. So unique and so tasty. I would love to return. read more

Wow! Such slow service! We had 8 peeps, a bottle of wine and three cocktails. Took 20 minutes. The bar tenders seemed slow and stoned! So disorganized. It's a great vibe and space, but terrible service. read more

Don't go here. Save your time & money! Ordered a wrap & requested no onions due to allergies & they still served us this wrap which tasted ONLY like onion. Sent it back & asked for a new one but they couldn't because it's premade (Classy for a "upscale" restaurant). Their only restitution to this was to take the wrap off our bill & nothing else (still paid for the new dish we HAD to order). We've gotten cheaper drinks at Hell's Kitchen. Basically bought a whole bottle of Casamigo just for 2 tequila sunrises. Ruined our whole date. HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND!!! read more

This review is only getting a 1 star for the sole reason that I can't give it zero stars. We ate at Rosewild for the first time on Saturday, October 16th for my birthday. When calling to make a reservation, my fiancé was asked how many we would like a table for. At the time of making the reservation our group size was going to be eight. Whoever answered the phone informed him that with a party of that size our only dining option would be to do the chefs choice/table. This choice consists of a six course meal family style for $80 per person. While this is obviously an odd requirement to make for a midsize party we were going to be there celebrating so he decided it could be a fun and unique dining experience and decided to move forward with the reservation. Come Saturday morning we find out that a member of our party is no longer going to be able to make the reservation. No big deal, right? At least that's what we thought. We arrive to the restaurant and are seated and waited on. After a short period of time of getting drinks our server asks if we are waiting on anyone else to join us. We say no and she says great would you like me to put in for the courses to start coming out and we reply yes that would be great. I'll touch a little bit on the food here because I think it is worth mentioning. While the food was unique and it was fun to have a different type of dining experience, the food was nothing super outstanding and most definitely NOT worth the $80 price point in our entire tables opinion. After we had finished the meal, we start the usual conversation of how we would like to split the tab. At this time our server informs us that because we had booked our reservation for eight people we would be responsible for paying an additional $80 for that eighth "person" even though there was only seven people who actually ate. Our server then quickly asks if someone wants to pick up the additional $80 or if we would prefer her to split it between all of us. What!? I have NEVER been to a restaurant and been required to pay for a meal that was not presented to us. When questioned why that would be our server said that it is because the chef was "prepared" to make enough for eight people. Interesting, because our table happened to be located very close to where the food is prepared and they quite literally make it in front of you so how can you charge us extra when 1. The correct amount of food that is required for the amount of people is literally made on the spot not "prepared" prior to dining and 2. If you're going to charge us for eight plates then eight plates of food should have been brought out. As the portions are tiny, we would have eaten it if we knew prior that we were going to be charged for it anyway. It seems absolutely absurd to me that this is deemed an acceptable business practice. From the very beginning we should have been informed that we would be responsible for picking up the additional $80 as soon as we told our server there would only be seven of us. If we would have known we would be charged additional we would have chosen to leave and dine elsewhere. Overall this restaurant has left a bad taste in my mouth. Why were we REQUIRED to do the chefs choice for a regular midsized group? Our original plan of having eight is still not an excessive amount of people, it is not as if we're bringing in 15-20 people. No other restaurant in town requires you to conveniently do their most expensive option with as small of a group as we had. Why were we not informed up front that we would be responsible for picking up the additional $80, especially after we told our server in the beginning before the "order" was even put in that there would only be seven of us? And then when we questioned why we were being pinned for a meal that we didn't even get to eat the response was because the chef was "prepared" to make us enough for eight but didn't actually end up making eight plates in the end anyways. All around something seems very off to me here and I left feeling very disgusted. How can you run a business with such shady practices? The people of Fargo do not have a tolerance for sketchy places and as we have an abundance of dining options in town I suggest you make some changes if you would like to be competitive. If you're looking for a restaurant with overpriced, mediocre food and a tendency to screw over their patrons then this is the place for you. If not, I recommend going to any of the other fine dining restaurants in the area as they all are well established and reputable businesses. Don't waste your time, money, or appetite on this one. read more

Excellent staff and comfortable atmosphere. Small starter plates are the best! Every one of them is a treat.

I had dinner at Rosewild on their opening night and everything was fabulous! I enjoyed the creative cocktails, and the food was fantastic. Delicious apps, soup, salads, entrees and desserts! Great menu, great atmosphere and service and an overall wonderful experience. read more

Ridiculously overpriced for the most basic food. Sat at a table for 10 minutes before another guest informed us we need to go to the counter. The employee had walked past us several times and never thought to mention this to us. The quiche I ordered was served cold with a side salad- no dressing.. for breakfast? The whole meal was a joke and I will never come back. Beautiful place however read more

We have been to Rosewild twice since it opened a month ago. Beautiful restaurant with impeccable service, some of the staff already knew our names! Stunning bar with a lot of signature drinks and a great view of Broadway and the square. I would recommend, kitchen Spanish...ole'. The food is like nothing else in the region with unique flavors and absolutely delicious. I would recommend the sturgeon and bison tartare, horns up Fargo!...we have almost tried everything on the menu. Chef Austin and his team are a fantastic addition to our vibrant downtown Fargo and the city I call home. Rosewild will soon to be a local favorite. Cheers! read more

Great place! Really enjoy the delicious food and drinks. The atmosphere is beautiful too.

Love everything I have had here! Brussel sprouts, half chicken and a burger in the lounge!

Nice presentation but food was not worth the cost. We left hungry because the courses were extremely exotic.

Absolutely incredible meal. We did the tasting menu and it was fantastic. Some incredible flavors and unique dishes. One of the best meals I have experienced read more

I had the pleasure of getting to eat dinner at Rosewild on opening night (6/24) and I could not have been more impressed! Everything from the atmosphere and service to the food/drinks was incredible. The space is very well put together and enjoyable to be in. The servers and other staff members were very accommodating to us and enthusiastic to be there. The star of the show was the food/beverage aspect of it all. The drinks were fantastic and I'm looking forward to trying more of them. The food was absolutely amazing and everything was cooked to perfection. There are so many options on the menu (even for us vegetarians!) and there is certainly something for everyone. The chef (Austin Covert) did an excellent job with this menu and bringing new and exciting dishes to Fargo. I couldn't recommend this place enough! I enjoyed it so much that I've already been back for dinner again and once more in the lounge area, which also has a great ambiance and menu. Make Rosewild the next restaurant you go to, you won't regret it! read more

I went on a date night with my wife back on 11/19. We were excited to go because we heard a lot of great things. We decided to sit at the bar and it was pretty crowded which is always a good sign. We placed our order with the waitress and it took quite a while for our soup to arrive. The soup for my wife was cold and we brought it up to the server she was not apologetic but did take the soup back to get us a hot bowl. My wife's reheated soup arrived with the entrees where at that point she did not want the soup. My wife ordered the steak and it lacked flavor the best part of the dish were the fries. The burger I ordered was good not great. Our server never asked us how our entrees were which was disappointing. We decided to order a dessert and excited to try their pan acota. It was aweful. The server asked us how the dessert was and there was no apology an attempt to give us something else. I really wanted to love this place and they struck out at each course. I am not sure if I will go back. read more
