What stood out most was how personalized my son's care was. Rebekah really took the time to get to know him, understand his individual needs and strengths, and find the approaches that worked best for him. If something wasn't clicking, she was willing to try different strategies and find creative ways to help him succeed. We saw so much growth during his time with her. He became more confident, built his self-esteem, and made noticeable improvements with his handwriting, hand-eye coordination, and other everyday skills. Rebekah celebrated his successes while continuing to gently work on the things that were harder for him, which helped him feel capable and proud of himself. We also really appreciated how observant and engaged she was and how much she communicated with us as parents. She gave us helpful insight and ideas that we could carry over in our home as well. Rebekah is incredibly compassionate and supportive during an especially difficult period for our family while my husband was going through cancer treatment and we were navigating significant health challenges at home. Her patience, flexibility, understanding, and kindness during that time meant more to us than she probably realizes. Most importantly, Rebekah treated our son with genuine kindness, patience, and respect. He knew she was in his corner, and that meant a lot to us as parents. Even when we ultimately decided to pause OT to focus on other things for our family, Rebekah was incredibly understanding and supportive of that transition. We're very grateful for everything Rebekah and SPOT have done for our son and our family and would absolutely recommend them to families looking for thoughtful, caring, and truly individualized occupational therapy.

Our daughter always felt safe, understood, and genuinely liked by her, which matters so much. We originally sought OT for a specific issue, but Rebekah helped us better understand so many connected pieces along the way. Emotional regulation, confidence, flexibility, social dynamics. Things we honestly did not expect to grow as much as they did. The whole practice is amazing and while we are thrilled our daughter was ready to move on, a part of us is sad to be leaving because Rebekah has meant so much to our family.

A year ago, our 22-month old boy had plenty of feeding issues: didn't know how to chew solid food,…read moredidn't know how to swallow anything but puree foods, and didn't like eating in general - so each of his meals usually lasted about an hour. He didn't know how to finger or spoon feed himself, and didn't even want to try to touch anything that was in his plate. Later we were informed that he was not only phobic about food, but about new textures and tactile sensations in general: he was very cautious with new toys, he avoided touching leaves and stones in the park, and cried whenever he had to step on the sand at the beach. Naturally, that made him very reserved towards any exposure to new environments, new influences, new contacts, and new people around him - which influenced his social and verbal skills. As first-time parents, we were extremely worried. We contacted the Westside Regional Center and they recommended an individual occupational therapy with a charming, self-confident and extremely skillful young therapist named Roxanne Benjamin. She tactfully introduced us to the issues our boy was facing, patiently explained the therapy stages we were about to go through, encouraged us to actively participate in them - and very soon achieved something no other but us had before: she won our son's sympathies! Fast forward twelve months later: our boy just turn 3 and has zero feeding issues now. He bites, chews, swallows, feeds himself, enjoys various types of food, and even has his favorite tastes... He's also eager to play with new toys, enjoys discovering new textures, and loves being exposed to new environments. On top of everything, he turned into a very social person and talks like a five-year old! And he sees Roxy not as a therapist but a member of the family - which is a place in his heart she truly deserved with her passionate work.

She has a patient demeanor, but uses current research with a myriad of different tools to ensure that her students see vast improvement. It's such a thoughtfully put together program - a different theme every week, story time, free play in the big sensory gym, messy play, arts and crafts and snack time with friends. It's also been really special as a parent to be able to join the kiddo in school instead of just dropping off. There are other kids there that go with nannies and they also seem to do really well. It's great that the kids can go explore and play but then check in with a trusted caregiver here and there when they are feeling the need for closeness too. And it's so fun to get to be silly alongside the kiddos there. We've also done some of the other standalone classes like messy play and little movers and those are basically shorter versions of the pre preschool and are great. We'll definitely keep doing those too until we age out. :-p After mommy and me I had no idea what to do when the kids graduated and were 1. This program has been so wonderful for us as it provides my child with some structure and plenty of time to play. I couldn't say nicer things about the teacher Danielle. She goes above and beyond and is just great and the staff is so so nice. Highly recommend!

Our almost 4 yr old son (recently diagnosed with ASD) attended Play 2 Progress' summer camp program for two weeks and had an AWESOME time. While it took him a moment to adjust to his new environment, with a lot of tears and resistance the first 2 days, Allie and her team (including Natalie and Kaitlyn and Esme) showed tremendous patience, flexibility, and willingness to come up with creative solutions (like creating a visual schedule of activities and adding a one on one counselor to give our son extra attention), all of which helped him feel very comfortable and welcome. As parents, we had a lot of worry and anxiety at first, but those fears evaporated by the 3rd day when our son jumped out of the car and ran into the playroom with a backwards looking "Bye Mom!" THANK YOU again for making our son's first camp experience so great.
