they come to the school to help with my youngest kid and since school started (3 months) we had over 30 days of call outs and subs coming almost at 10am instead of the 8am. the staff will not care about calling the school to let them know or even the parents and when they don't have one to send they just wont tell anyone. first week of school they told me the Bii assigned was out on leave with no date of return. they gave us someone else then said he was going to be permanent then changed him as well. we are now on our 3rd BII in the past 3 months not to mention my son coming back with bruises and injuries because they arent caring for the kid at all. spoke with the school district and lawyer and they just dont seem to be proactive at all and just let my son fall to the side as they just ignore the PARENTS AND DISTRICT! read more

There are so many reasons why we are so grateful to be working with McRory. It is a wonderful company filled with wonderful staff. It all begins with Dana and Sadaf at the front desk. Although both of their positions tend to be more administrative in nature, they genuinely and whole-heartedly enjoy connecting with and greeting every child who walks through the door with such grace and compassion. They know every name of every child and every sibling! They make every child feel seen and heard the second they walk in the door. Nothing warms a mom's heart more than to see other people care for your kids with the same love and compassion that you yourself do. They are amazing! Two of my three children have received services from McRory. Dana at the front desk jokes we live here! Hey, there's no better second home in my opinion! My son, Peyton, received OT from Zoe for a year. Zoe is nothing short of superior! And my youngest, Lily, has been receiving OT from Zoe since she was two (she's now four.) Zoe is amazing. She pays such attention to detail and cares deeply about my children's progress, growth, and overall emotional well being. She goes above and beyond in every aspect of her job and we deeply and whole-heartedly appreciate her. We love Zoe! Lily also sees Maddy for speech. WE LOVE MADDY! She brings such warmth, fun, knowledge and attentiveness to every session single session we spend with her. She makes each session fun and fresh and finds creative ways to push my daughter's speech progress along without Lily constantly feeling put on the spot to perform. She is always challenging Lily, but does so in the most nurturing and supportive ways possible. Her preparation is second to none. Every session has a game plan and she's constantly pushing Lily's language forward but she's so skilled in doing so in the most organic and natural of ways. The PT department is amazing as well! We've seen Amanda for years, who simply is the best of the best. We truly consider her a friend who cares about our family outside the constraints of her workplace. Since Amanda is no longer in clinic, we've had the privilege of recently working with Rosa and Megan! When specialists and staff who genuinely care are helping to shape the overall well being and life trajectory of your children, you can't help but feel anything short of gratitude. If there was an ability ZERO or negative stars I would do that. I am so utterly disgusted in this place. My daughter first started at Mcrory at 2 years old for their early intervention program. And at that time wow it was a God send to us. The therapist that worked with her truly made me feel like my child was important and she was thriving with incredibly talented therapists who loved the kids. Then I decided to put her in the ITS program which was by far the WORST decision I could've ever done. Not only did the therapists that we loved started to leave like dominos but the preschool program was absolute shit. The therapists they hired had zero experience what it felt like and no empathy and no desire to be there. Cut to them hiring the head teacher, for ITS , Ms. M , who it was brought to my attention , but MULTIPLE sources not only verbally abused my child saying my daughter is disgusting is gross she hates her and discriminated against her to the point where her safety was a concern. Favoriting white children over my black daughter who is on verbal, allowing privileges to other children and not my daughter. She was restrained by this teacher for no reason and her arms held while never being harmful to anyone or herself. From one special needs mother to you , I implore you to never put your child in their hands. They don't give a shit about you or them. Its is a great place for children who need early intervention and behavioral services. My son attended the Building Bridges Program when he was 2.5 years... until he graduated pre-school at 5 years at the Therapeutic Preschool (ITS Program). At 3 years, my son started receiving Applied Behavior Analysis at home. Now at 5 years, my son receives (BII) - Behavior Intervention Implementation and (BID) - Behavior Intervention Development at Kinder (In a General Education Placement) We are extremely lucky ot have the best therapists in this world. Since Covid they have been far behind handling the company especially ABA department. There are no clients available but want to continue hiring. Supervisors aren't showing up in homes instead doing supervision through zoom. Using up our cellular data and not paying us. Only pay for cellular data is you're doing telehealth. If a child is quarantined they don't tell us if it was because they were in close contact or tested positive. It's simple courtesy to inform the workers since we also have families. So you're off work and they don't pay you. Something they should consider or send us to substitute for another client. Company doesn't reply to emails and supervisors don't reply to text messages. Company has fallen behind. Not great like it use to be. Be careful read more

This agency only cares about money. They put on a very good show and everything looks nice online but really they see families as dollar signs. Parking is horrible and they charge you to park in the lot. The therapists and education they provide is great but they don't have that passion in them, there are other programs where it may not be as nice as far as setting or area but the more important part is they care about families and look at your child as a human being not a profit for business. We started at McRory Pediatrics after a less-than-stellar experience with another speech therapist that left me skeptical that speech therapy would have a meaningful impact on our son Warren. During my first visit, it was readily apparent to me that your company cares about the experience of the children and that your therapists are experienced professionals who are dedicated to achieving real, positive improvement. I went home that day very excited about Warren starting therapy with McRory. Since then, we were assigned to Jenn Giuffrida who is an amazing human being who has had such a big impact on Warren's speech-- but moreover, his confidence and ability to interact meaningfully with others. Warren truly loved his time with Jenn, who made a lot of effort to make each session accessible and comfortable for him... not to mention, FUN! We've been coming here for years, first when our child joined their "Jump Start" program, and then to multiple therapies during the course of the week, since then. A Yelp review doesn't do this place justice. The people who we've been fortunate to have in our little girl's life from McRory, we will be eternally grateful for. Our daughter has simply thrived since she's been under the care at McRory. She continues to receive Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy, as well as Physical therapy. Both my children received speech therapy at the Santa Clarita location and my daughter was also in their building bridges program. Their personal speech therapist Lynley is beyond amazing. She goes above and beyond to see what works with your children and we just love her. In their building bridges program my daughter thrived and progressed in a speed I didn't know she could. They were all like family to me. When my daughter graduated their were some tears shed because I wish she could have stayed longer. Unfortunately this will be my last month with their therapist Lynley due to the fact I will be losing my PPO insurance since I am leaving work to stay home with my kids and will be going to HMO because my PPO was through my job. They have done such great work with my kids I am very sad to be leaving due to insurance change. I will miss my Mcrory family . read more

If I could I would put this place a negative star. My child got or I should say should have been getting 10hrs a week of ABA therapy. Except if we got lucky we would get 4. The therapists are 99% inexperienced in this field and unprofessional as they talk down about their supervisors and the company they work for. I wish that they would spend more time pushing the kids, educating the parents. When I read the reviews prior to putting in my review I only agreed with one person who had the same view of this company as I do. Majority of therapies at best have a BA degree in this field the others who do have MA degree unfortunately find reasons to leave shortly after and except lesser jobs driving for Uber or becoming a personal trainer. Kinda sad! The supervisors are MIA majority of the time unless you actually start screaming at them in order to get your point across. I wish I would have done my research prior to getting involved with this company. My child would of gotten more out of this program and instead of moving forward I feel we've taken steps back. read more

This review is based on our experience dealing with the intake coordinator and the billing coordinator for the last 5 weeks. Multiple phone calls to our insurance company assuring us that we were good to go for therapy and that our son should already be in therapy. I wish we had read the reviews before we wasted our time dealing with McRory Pediatric Services. Some things are blessings in disguise. We will not be recommending this place to any of our friends and family. Even the "good" reviews about this business let me know how mediocre the day to day operations are. 6 one star reviews out of 19 or 20 speaks volumes. In my case it's Kristine Cu and Crystal Brain (how ironic that that's her last name because there's no brain in that head of hers) now these are the 2 SO CALLED SUPERVISORS that handled my sons case. My sons case unfortunately got worse and worse starting after our insurance took over. You would think that after 2 years with these supervisors they would work to help your kids...oh no they will bad mouth your family, make sure that your child's hours of therapy are not fulfilled and make any and every excuse to get rid of your child's case only because you as a parent demanded that you get the best for your child. As a parent to another parent please do your research before you come into this company. If parents have any concerns about what's going on with your child's case it will be extremely hard to get through to anyone and even if you will you will be fed BS. As this is a large company that works like a factory. They hire unprofessional therapist and will tell you that they come highly recommended. If by any luck your child gets a great therapist just wait they will end up leaving because they find something much better than McRory. These supervisors don't care for your kids and they don't care for you as a parent. read more

It's such an amazing place for kids with any kind of disability. Our daughter attended the Jumpstart program at Tarzana location and we couldn't be more happy and thankful for the time she spent there. All therapists who were working with her are great, very caring, friendly and helpful. They are all very knowledgeable in their field of expertise and they really helped our daughter to achieve improvements in all developmental areas. Our daughter loved the program and she's gonna miss all the therapists. Thank you so much for all your hard work, the love you share with kids and your patience!!! This clinic has horrible parking to start of. When you walk in to the right there is an OT gym with glass doors. You have to go up to the third floor to check-in. (So keep in mind kids see that gym when they walk in). On the initial intake visit my son was taken to a room that he couldn't touch the toys. Why would you take him in there. I have no idea. I had to ask the OT to take us to another room. She than proceeded to ask me questions regarding his goals. She pretty much told me that she had no idea why my son was given those services and that he would master his goals in a month. I asked about making new goals and she just kept shutting me down. Saying that he was physically able to do them but he just didn't want to do them. He than was taken to the gym for the las 5 mins. Yes 5 mins. He went up the slide played for 2 mins with legos and than was told he was done. He had a hard time transitioning obviously. So on our second visit. I was told by the OT that he would not be allowed in the gym because he was a liability. And the only kids allowed in there are kids that follow directions. How will he learned if he is not giving the opportunity. I grabbed my child and walked out of there. I have never felt so judged before by a "professional" before. So if your child doesn't follow directions don't take them there they will not be allowed to touch anything. This is a clinic that work with kids on the spectrum an other disorders. And to treat a child like that is not ok. If I could give it a zero star I would. read more

My son Samuel has been with the agency since he was 2 years old. Samuel today is almost 14. We still use the agency for Speech and BII services. When Samuel was diagnosed with Autism, I thought I was the only parent going through this and I was lost and confused. Nikki made my son and family not feel alone and helped us through our journey. Nikki, Diane and Rebecca have been with my son and family since the day we started and we are so grateful for them. Over the years like all parents we tried different techniques and approaches and yet always found that McRorys was the one constant in Samuels life. We have used the agency for IDP, pt, ot, speech and BII services. The staff at McRorys has always made sure the Team that was on my sons case was just that a Team. My son has always been treated with respect and kindness. If it was help or understanding the IDP process or IEP processes we have been supported. Everyone at the agency regardless if on my sons case or not has always made an effort. I would and still do recommend McRory's Pediatrics to any family who needs help or guidance through their families journey. If I've learned anything is that Autism isn't the end of your child path or journey. Thank you to everyone at McRory's for never giving up on Samuel. read more

Not only do I not recommend this facility, I warn any potential clients to stay away. The last thing any parent needs when seeking services for their child, is a dishonest facility. It took close to 3 months to complete an initial evaluation and have this submitted to our insurance. During this time I asked multiple times regarding the availability of therapists once we were granted authorization for the services and I was reassured that this would not be a problem and my child would start sessions as soon as we had the authorization. 2weeks after the evaluation had been submitted to our insurance, I called to get an update at which time I was told we were still waiting. After another week, same story. At this time I decided to call our insurance directly to see what the holdup was and I was told that 2 weeks prior they had contacted McRory since the evaluation that they had sent was incomplete and they were still awaiting the missing information. Why is it that I should be the one trying to figure out what the holdup is and not the staff getting paid at McRory? They are far too ready to bill for services but not to deliver. We eventually got the authorization a week later at which time McRory informed me that they did not have the staff available to start services and this will take a few more weeks. It meant nothing to them that they had promised me otherwise. A few weeks later I was informed that they will never have the staff available to start services as our insurance requires therapists/instructors with a specific degree level which they do not have many of, except in the supervisory role and they don't do sessions. This is not the case for all insurances, but it does say something, that the instructors they use are of inferior standard. Also, they knew what insurance we had from day one. They ask for your insurance card before they even know your name... They therefore knew from day 1 what my insurance therapist/instructor requirements were and they didn't have to drag us through this whole process. McRory wasted months to deliver EARLY intervention therapies... If all this wasn't bad enough, they billed my insurance multiple times, some were for phone call encounters I had with them. Really??? I spoke to them over the phone to get updates regarding the authorization that they didn't submit correctly and they had the audacity to bill for those phone encounters. As a mother and a healthcare professional, I say - Shame on you McRory!!! read more

My daughter has been working with Veronica Perez for about a year and she has been so supportive and creative. My daughter is 23 so we have had many different social skills classes over the years. What I appreciate about this program is the amount of time Veronica puts into incorporating my daughters specific needs, and creating a group lesson. McRory's Jump Start program is exceptional and unfortunately for Greater Los Angeles, a one of a kind program. A class of 8 kiddos, Jump Start offers a 1:1 ratio with a staff of 8 consisting of 2 Physical Therapists, 2 Occupational Therapists, 2 Speech/Communication Therapists and 2 Child Development Specialists. Our daughter is extremely impaired physically but in good shape socially/emotionally and is in perfect hands at Jump Start. The teachers meet her where she is with a fully customized curriculum. It's clear they genuinely adore her... and they love what they do. The teachers have each gone out of their way to learn as much as they can about our daughter's diagnosis and adjust their goals accordingly. My husband and I are thoroughly impressed with McRory, the Jump Start program and the staff. I WISH THEY OFFERED A PRESCHOOL OPTION! After the age of 3, kiddos transition to LAUSD. McRory deserves immense praise for creating this unique program aimed at children with non-behavioral but otherwise global developmental disorder. read more

IF YOUR CHILD HAS SPECIAL NEEDS AND IS GIVEN A CHANCE TO GET SERVICES FROM MCRORY, GO FOR IT !!! I can still remember that day when our Regional Service coordinator mentioned this place to me. We just moved from Houston with our 2y daughter who just got diagnosed with Autism and we were looking for early intervention services for her. My husband and I scheduled a tour with the Clinical Director and she showed as a program called Building Bridges which includes Behavior therapy (ABA), Speech and Occupational therapy. Sounded like an ideal place. With high hopes, we signed up our daughter and she was placed on the wait list. After a couple of weeks, she started attending the program and the rest is history. This place changed our daughter and our family's life !! Our daughter started off with the Building Bridges Program and then eventually moved to ITS, their preschool program, when she turned 3y, which she is attending now. She also gets extra services like Speech, OT, PT and In-home ABA from McRory. The therapists collaborate with each other so everybody is on the same page and work together. Our daughter has made so much progress and we will always be thankful to all her therapists who have provided so much support and education to our daughter and our family. My daughter was a client of Erin Stanford in McRory's Occupational Therapy Department for her entire time of need. Erin is the absolute dream - compassionate to both my daughter and myself, wouldn't let her get away with anything but managed to do it with enviable warmth and patience, really knows her stuff and kept me and my husband and even Grandma in on the work, giving us lots of practical tips and things we could work on at home as well. Every other provider outside of McRory, we have had to switch several times over, but Erin was with us through our whole journey. We drove a long distance to see her most of the time and it was so worth it. My daughter made incredible progress with her.
