Since my previous post, we've worked with Kelly and her new assistant Whitney to redo our living room. We were still in our rental home, so again limited on changing anything like wall colors and fixtures, but that didn't stop this team from transforming a somewhat awkwardly designed room into an inviting family room. And again, no judgements from this team when they saw we were still living with worn out leather couches from my husband's bachelor days - they absolutely understand we all start somewhere, and not all of us are naturally gifted at designing a room! Of note - we did have a small problem with the couch cushions we had ordered through Kelly. The foam was apparently a bad batch and quickly deteriorated after installation. If was ZERO issue though, as we contacted Kelly and explained the situation. Within an hour we'd received confirmation they would be replaced as soon as possible. To ensure no future issues with other clients, Kelly visited to see how bad the problem was and relay the issue to the manufacturer (who also sought to get us new cushions as soon as possible). When the new cushions arrived, Kelly's assistant Whitney stopped by as soon as we were available to reinstall. It was a seamless process and reaffirmed just how much they care about their clients. We're now working with Kelly to pick out features in a new home we're building to ensure we get off to a solid start. They've been very understanding of the fact that we are limited by builder options for things like cabinets and counters, and also very understanding that this will not be a full house project, but rather the very basic things to get started and build over time. We're excited for the opening of her new storefront in January, as well as continuing to work together through the construction of our new home and into the future as we complete new projects to put together the home of our dreams.

BEWARE! This store has a no return policy for apparently everything…read more Originally, went to this store to purchase the Annie Sloan Chalk paint and wax to paint and wax some cabinets. They we're helpful and had numerous samples to assist in color selections. We were sold a small brush to apply the Annie Sloan wax which was quite expensive at $52. Tried to return it and was told they would not refund the money. Mind you, the brush was unused, still in the original packaging with the original price tag on it and accompanied by the original receipt. They have printed on each receipt, "No Returns or exchanges on Paint or stencils and any other paint mediums. No exceptions. Defective items only returned within 3 days of purchase. Strict store policy." I can see the policy for the paint or stencils or any other paint medium, but to refuse a refund for an unused item in its original packaging with the original receipt is unacceptable. A reputable business would be more than happy to refund a customer in a similar situation. The statement that defective items only returned within 3 days is not very reasonable, especially when most of these projects are done on weekends. Apparently they aren't willing to refund anything with the 3 day restriction. I have to assume this company doesn't value or trust their customers if they need such a strict return policy. Please be careful and DON'T buy anything from this store if you are uncertain whether you will use it, because as soon you pay for it, it's yours. As for the Annie Sloan products, I have no complaints. Good quality products. I just wouldn't purchase these products from a company that has such a restrictive return policy. I would rather take my chances with purchasing over the internet.

I love the way it looks with the white walls and the contrast of the glossy black trim on the roll up doors. When we got inside I was a little less impressed but only because it was kind of plain. I know it's a blank palette which allows for you to decorate however you like but it's just missing something. Second thing I noticed was there is a ton of duct work in the ceiling but it was pretty hot inside this building. Thankfully there were little paper hand fans on each table that kept me fresh while I was there because the AC wasn't airing! Other than that the place is a wide open space. It had a nice bar area that you could place the drinks or a dessert bar or whatever you'd like. The restrooms were clean but there was no mirror in the one I went into. Not sure if it was broken and is getting replaced or if it never had one but it was clean and stocked. Overall it's nice here and in the winter the AC issue won't be one. I just think it needs to be heavily decorated for an event.

This led to a breakdown in trust that made us uncomfortable moving forward. While we take responsibility for not carefully reading every detail of the contract before making a payment, the lack of clarity we felt from the beginning was a major concern. For such a significant investment and an incredibly important day, we needed to feel 100% confident in the partnership and the outcome. Because that peace of mind wasn't there, we felt it was best to walk away.
