There are a few options for food in the area, and this is my favorite yet. Service is exceptional. The owner has a high standard for customer satisfaction. I ordered a gyro pita and side Greek salad to share with my wife and it was outstanding. When I eat their food I think "fresh ingredients." The gyro is stacked and is definitely a favorite of ours. My husband found this place by chance and I'm so happy he did. I'm on a strict diet for health reasons so I cannot have any fried foods. I cook every day because of that. Finding this place made me so happy so on the days I do not want to cook, I know I can have a good cooked meal not loaded with grease! The service is always fast, the food is always fresh, and the staff is always nice and welcoming. The restaurant is clean and well maintained. The salad is nice and fresh and the topping are as well. The food is average, but the customer service is horrible!!!! I placed a to go order a few weeks ago. When I got home, about 30 minutes later, we sat down to eat and several things were not correct. I immediately called the restaurant. They asked if I would bring to food back to be remade. Knowing that would take another hour I told them I could not do that. They then offered to remake my food for me the next time I came it. They took information from me and I thought we were good. I understand mistakes happen and as long as you right the wrong I'm fine. So, I come back this evening only to be told they aren't going to do anything for me, basically it's my fault for not bringing the food back that day. This is a really good price point. As long as they keep their cost at a reasonable level this is my new go-to when I come to the near-by Walmart and AMC movie theater. Highly recommended the combo, which is basically a dollar extra for fries or I tried the salad. Plus you get a soft drink, which are tasty (see my photo for some excellent alternative ones in their dispensary). I tried the gyro, which is usually my go-to at a Greek restaurant. Ingredients were fresh and a quick delivery. The tzadziki sauce was a little light, but next time I'll ask for a bit more. The salad had a nice flavor with a vinegar based dressing. I ordered to go and they packaged it pretty well. Only negative comment is several online menus, including here in Yelp, indicate they have falafel. Delicious!!! We always order the beef and chicken shawarma! This time, fries were added to the sandwiches. Which was a nice surprise. The chicken and meats are seasoned perfectly. The shawarma sandwiches came with a light garlic sauce. Not too garlicky (if there's such a thing) so you can still communicate with people after eating. Great spot close to home. Was greeted immediately by Mohammed who was both hilarious and entertaining. He answered any questions we had and was prompt in his service. My gf and I both got the gyro with a side salad and rice. The gyros were incredibly delicious. The meat was perfectly seasoned/cooked and the sauce complimented the meat perfectly. Good amount of meat and sides. It isn't somewhere I would necessarily want to sit down and eat inside at but if someone asked me to, I wouldn't mind. It is clean, open, inviting and well ventilated, just not the kind of ambiance I enjoy, especially when my house is a 3 min drive away. With that being said I definitely recommend giving them a try. This not quite hidden, hidden gem made it on my casual dining take out list. It's located off of new E. Bay Rd. and Gibsonton Dr. I didn't think much of this place with my first impression, but they do a good job with the food. The gyro meat is nice, smoky, and well seasoned. That garlic rosemary pita is on point. The food I had from them was surprisingly good, since I didn't know what to expect at first. I haven't tried any of the non-Greek food yet though. Probably never will, since I wouldn't be going here for that, but we'll see (maybe wings). The restaurant space is relatively basic and meant for a casual use. You order at the counter, find a seat, if applicable, and pick up your order when ready. It's walking/short driving distance from the movie theater behind it and Super Walmart across the street. We chose to sit outside and had to move the table out of the mulch to the sidewalk as it was too wobbly. We went 4/21/23 at 2pm so that we could avoid any lunch rush (we're retired). We must have picked right because there wasn't anyone else there. We ordered at the counter (I asked for extra tzatziki sauce) for my Gyro & husband got Gyro Salad, and we sat down. Our table was dirty, as were the tables around us. With literally NO ONE around you think they could take the time to clean tables? So I got napkins & water and I cleaned our table. They brought our order to the table & it looked good on arrival. My husband's dressing for the Gyro Salad was simply Italian dressing. My Gyro looked like it has ZERO sauce so my husband went to get "more" (remember I asked for extra in the first place). They questioned, when my husband asked, you mean you want more?! I did show my husband my gyro & he agreed there was no sauce on it (just to justify). Anyway, what he brought back was "Ranch Dressing" not tzatziki sauce. They never checked on us while we were there in that "non-busy" restaurant. The sandwich was good but no tzatziki sauce & only tomato & onion at the opening of the sandwich & meat was re-heated (dry). Salad was just ok. We won't go back. I ordered a Gyro and fries from the owner of the restaurant and specifically requested NO ONIONS on my Gyro and to add tomatoes and lettuce. Second, I requested my fries to cooked extra crispy and well done. The owner was pleasant and we had a great conversation as I waited for my "to go" order. It took about 10 minutes and I was on my way home. Once home, I sat down to eat and my Gyro had ONIONS on it and my french fries were soggy and greast, as the cooking oild was not hot enough and they were not well done or crispy, as I had requested. I made the 15 minute drive back to the restaurant to have my order re-done; they made me a new Gyro, but the wrap was spongy, chewy and cold. My fries were soggy, greasy and AGAIN not crispy or well done as I had requested TWICE! I did not expect four star restaurant quality, but the quality I did recieve was POOR to say the least and not prepared or cooked to my specifications TWICE. My food with tip was almost $15 dollars and a waste of time and money as far as I am concerned. Considering the restaurant owner personally took my original order and replacement order reflects VERY POORLY on the quality of food and service. I CANNOT recommend this restaurant and will NEVER patronize it again. Do not waste your money or time. read more
