We were in town waiting to head to the airport for our late flight and wanted some food. We saw the decent reviews on Yelp and decided to check this spot out for some chicken wings. It was empty inside in the small dining area. However, the drive thru was very crowded, and it looked like they received a lot of phone orders. The staff were very friendly. The bathrooms were also clean. They have a nice sized menu of different foods from wings, salads, Philly cheese steaks, and more. They had a nice variety of wings to try, and they all looked good. I settled on the mango habanero, and my cousin had the BBQ. OK, why didn't I know habanero meant spicy. When I first bit into my wings, I jumped a little because I was caught off guard. lol. Don't get me wrong, the wings were good but just spicy. We both had fries and a drink with our wings, which were fine. My cuz enjoys her wings. This is a spot I would check out again and try some other items on the menu. . read more

Very good! I have been here many times over the years and I've never had any issues. The food is great, the price is good and they are open very late at night. The service is really good as well. They make sure that you get what you need. It's in a college area so the ambiance is just ok, but it doesn't affect the overall experience. I highly recommend this location for a quick good meal! read more

It isn't for everyone!! The fried shrimp are the best to me, everything else tastes like it's been fried in the same grease!! Wings... naw! Fried gizzards... definitely no! Fries... fresh and crispy! Fried scallops... breading is bland and the scallops weren't seasoned. Service is great though! And the ambiance is meh read more

My wife and I had mad plans for a different wing spot but her flight got delayed super late! But because I am the amazing wife I am I didn't want her to be hungry so I got on yelp and looked for wing spots open late! It was a little out of my way but it looked really good so I decided to just leave out to the airport early so I could have it in the car ready for her. When I pulled up I was like yea this is about to be good lol it reminded me of home so I knew I was going to be fire (really good). There were so many options other than wings and I wish I had tried the fish or shrimp but there's always next time!!!! I got wings and gizzards both in buffalo sauce and when I tell you it was fried to perfection and seasoned well I mean that like it was really good! My wife who is very picky at times loved them! I would highly recommend can't wait to try them out again when I'm back in town!!! read more

Unassuming from the outside, but the wings in the inside really exemplified what customization can be. Many wings in town are as soggy as a paper bag in a rainstorm but these wings had that crisp crunchy texture which could be dialed up or down based on request. The rubs and sauces also complimented the hearty chicken underneath rather than covering up over fried bones. With so many options to order from on game day, I would strongly recommend this spot as a try for your wing needs and am optimistic that they will continue to let these flightless boards soar. read more

The food is always good! Service is quick and on point. For the ambience feels like a family.

Wings Xpress is a must-visit for late night wing cravings! Each wing is generously sauced and flavored and left me completely satisfied. Medium buffalo was not spicy, but still very flavorful. Wings were still crispy even when doused in the sauce, which is extremely impressive. Service was quick and friendly. The ambiance and late hours makes it an ideal spot during late hours when nothing seems to be open. Reasonable prices and generous portions seal the deal. read more

The food at this place is okay. I usually get their chicken wings, which I like most of the times, but I don't rate a 3 stars for the chicken but for being charged a tariff on the food that I purchased today, and they were not straightforward about it, but told me they have a new system that automatically charged a fee for each purchase. I would rather be told that we are charging extra due to the tariffs, which would make sense to me. I never sat there so I don't know about the ambiance, so I can't judge on that. Would I go back? I might but not to often. read more

Wing Xpress is my go to after hours joint for good grub. I'm talking about greasy fries , wet buffalo wings, and crispy fried shrimp combos. Can't forget to top it all off with a slice of cheesecake or a large cup of diabetic-prone sweet tea with lemon! Not something I'd suggest eating unless you're really wasted or unless you had a bad day. Nevertheless Wing Xpress is very yummy and budget friendly. read more

Wings Xpress is likely best when in a rush, down on funds, or for late night wings. A few of the reviews I read prior to ordering were spot on. Very wet and saucy hot wings. I do wish they came a bit more crispy. I ordered all flats, which I loved having the option. As a wing enthusiast, I probably won't be back. I also wouldn't discourage others from trying if in the USF area. read more

This is my definite go to place, when I have the Appetite for wings and shrimp combo. My honey and I absolutely love their food especially the seasoning that they have on their wings. That mango Habanero sauce is the bomb. Oh wait....I can't forget the fried mushrooms and fried conch. Yumm. If we don't choose Taco Bell, then it would be wing express right next door. The drive-through can be a little slow and painfull. So my tip would be to call ahead and pick up or you can always Dine In. read more

The best wings in Tampa, hands down. I ordered the wet garlic parm with a half pound of the grilled shrimp, and it ATE and absolutely left no crumbs. We placed an online order and picked it up, it was ready at the time it said it would be. They also have a drive through for those who don't want to get out of their car. The prices aren't bad considering the quality and quantity of the food. Will absolutely be going here again, 10/10. read more

Fantastic buffalo wings. Mango Habanero was by far the best sauce of the ones we tried! Don't let the 'habanero' part scare you, it's mild spicy at most. We got takeout for dinner and also tried the Honey BBQ and Teriyaki, both good but not great. Wings are meaty and sauce flavors are strong but not too sweet or spicy. read more

Wings are my go to 'bar' food. Wings & nachos. Good prices with a good portion size. I tried the honey bbq wings - sauce was pretty on point with good size wings. While not some of the best wings, for being more of a 'fast food' restaurant - they were good and fair priced, and fast (imagine that). Drive thru bonus!! I would stop by if in the area and wanted wings quickly! read more

Came late night for some wings. Service was fast and wings were decent. I ordered a 10 piece all flats, dry rub - lemon pepper and they had good flavor/seasoning throughout. The fries were good too. I'd come back if I want wings late night again & I'm in the area. Lol read more

The chicken wings were too dry and so overcooked. Then, the frys were so salty that it was almost impossible to eat. The interior was not a relaxing or enjoyable environment. Very sterile and the lights were so bright it was like being in a hospital. read more

The food is 3/5, but the main thing to know is that they don't start making your pickup order until you get there and order. I spent a lot of time waiting until I realized this. They give you a pickup time online, it is not going to be accurate. read more

This express place have some good wings. Other than wing, they also have the smoothie and combo of other comfort food. The comfort food include gyro, chicken sandwich, Philly cheese steak, cheeseburger, fried oyster. The selection of smoothie include mango banana, strawberry, berries and more. I like their mango smoothie. It refreshing during the summer season. The chicken wing include wet and dry coating. I like their Parmesan and lemon pepper dry chicken wing. I am not a wet coating wing guys. If you buy six wing is about a dollar a piece. If you buy 10 wing is $0.80 a piece. The cheapest is 100 wing with $0.75 a piece. Their side include fried mushroom, fried okra, Conch fritter and more. Although they call themselves wing express, you still need to give them time to cook. But the wing is crispy and good. read more

If you are looking for a casual place to quickly grab a hot meal, this is the place. My table ordered wings, a gyro, and chicken tenders. The food took about 10 minutes to prepare. The chicken tenders where FRESH and not the usual breaded tenders you get from other restaurants. These tenders were thin slivers of chicken with no breading. The wings were great. We tried honey garlic and mango habanero flavor. Both flavors were tasty. The gyro was my favorite part. It had all the right fix ins. Customer service was wonderful. This restaurant food is to die for! Everything here is amazing and every order I've orders I have never been disappointed! I've tried all their wings (Buffalo mild and wet lemon pepper are my favor)! If you been to salems gyros or nicks on hillsborough you might think you been to em all. But this place is the best gyros/wings spot in Tampa for two reasons. 1:the food is amazing and 2:they get it right and listen to all the special req of your order every time. That's the biggest difference maker for me. Especially when I'm spending 60+ to feed the family after a busy day I don't wanna have to check every bag or have to come back if I realized they missed something. I never have to do that with these guys, they're awesome read more

Wow, pretty good! I was seriously pleasantly surprised at the plethora of offerings at this drive-through. As I drove around, I noticed the restaurant looked clean and well-run, and I think I spotted the manager inside. The server didn't laugh at me because I didn't know how or what to order (a lot of ethnic foods I didn't know the names of, but once I explained I just wanted some "scales and fin"-type fish, she helped me select something good. I still can't tell you what it was but it was delicious, and I was able to choose grilled with a nice side veggie (okrah, rice n beans, etc). Good job, Tampa. I love all the foodie possibilities coming back from Tampa Veterans Hospital and though it wasn't easy to make a left turn into the lot from the traffic-laden streets, I managed. read more

This place is a really great spot for halal fast food in Tampa, and the location is convenient too. I had the fried chicken burger combo, and I found the price and taste to be very satisfying. The chicken inside the burger was seasoned well and not bland like like a lot of fried chicken items I've had at many restaurants, and the fries were good too. The selection of items they offer on their menu was very large and diverse, not at all like most fast food places. I would definitely return in the future to try out their other items. read more

Sadly, I'm still on the lookout for a good Wings place in Tampa that will beat our old place in Orlando. I was totally excited to try this place since we called and asked if they mixed flavors and said they could do that. Inside its pretty clean but nothing to get excited about-it definitely encourages you to take your food to go and eat it at home. They lady at the register was super nice btw. I ordered the 6 wings meal (all flats) which is a $1 more. I ordered the teriyaki flavor mixed with garlic-the cashier said they could mix it but it would only be garlic powder so it wouldn't be an actual sauce. So if you order the garlic parmesan...expect it to be garlic powder and parmesan cheese sprinkled on wings with I assume a butter sauce...meh. The hubs ordered the same but with a honey BBQ flavor and decided not to mix since they don't ACTUALLY mix sauces. The wait was longer than expected but I was hoping it was worth it-spoiler alert: It wasn't. I noticed the cashier and cook in the back arguing and could clearly hear and see her say this isn't teriyaki, it looks like mango. The cook/owner whatever he was shook his head said "its teriyaki, we looked, just give it to her anyway". The cashier...bless her heart said no its not and kept insisting they check again. Alas the lazy cook won. She gave me the wings which definitely didn't look like teriyaki. The cashier and cook actually made a bet for $10 bucks or some random amount if she was right and he was wrong...right in front of us. Like, wow, thanks guys. Luckily, I had my hubby try it..as soon as he took a bite he started choking and confirmed these spicy meat sticks from hell were definitely not the very NON spicy teriyaki that I wanted. I can't do spice...I would literally seize up on the ground and gallons of water couldn't quench the spice out of my mouth. He confirmed that, yup...those were pepper flakes on the chicken and not sesame seeds lol. The wings went right back to the cashier who in turn went right back to the cook. What came out was teriyaki sans the garlic I ordered. Again, they went right back to the cashier who went right back to the cook. What came back was a mess of powdered garlic on greasy wings. The meat was tender but flavorless, the skin was soggy and not crunchy, the fries were soggy and tasted like they were definitely of the frozen variety, and the blue cheese was not homemade but definitely came from a gallon sized tub from Cosco. This place is great if you have no working taste buds or happen to be a college kid super drunk and everything else is closed. I've never left such a poor review on a place, yet I don't think since Friday's have I had such cruddy food and service. I REALLY really wanted to like this place...but for once appearance really do justice to what is actually inside. read more
