App: Chicken buffalo dip: 2/5, wasn't a big fan of this as it had a very sweet flavor profile Entree: Half original medium, half lemon pepper traditional wings. Both were a 5/5 imo. The lemon pepper as a unique flavor of a little sweetness plus that lemon kick. Really good! The medium is described as "is hot" and I'd say that it was the perfect amount of spice. Little sister got the mild medium boneless which were also a great flavor if you don't want a little kick of spicyness to them. We sat outside for dinner and it was super nice as they have fans directly above the outdoor tables. They also had trivia night happening. 3.5 Stars. I made reservations online and I love that I could do it for the same day. I also called ahead to find out where their extra parking was, since the lot behind the building gets full quickly. The female who answered the phone was unsure that the restaurant was located in Seminole Heights, but once she was assured it was, she could tell me that the extra parking was behind the Pawn Shop next door. We were sat right away when we arrived. I think our waitress was new. Even after she entered everything into the handheld device she had, she still came back to the table to ask again how we wanted the chicken done in our quesadilla. She also brought my friend an IPA even though she had ordered a wheat beer (but my friend drank it anyway). Food took a little time to come out. I have to note here that the food runner was kind of surly. When I asked about a dipping sauce for the quesadillas, she's like "It doesn't come with anything!" but fortunately our waitress knew it was supposed to come with sour cream. So she brought us that. Then had to get the extra ranch dressing and carrots we had also ordered. We shared the 10 piece wing, done Medium (which they warn you ahead of time is hot). In my mind, it was the perfect amount of spiciness - just enough to make you sweat a little. I could have wished for plumper wings with a bit more meat, but they were still delicious. The bigger surprise was the quesadilla, which was excellent. It was chock full of grilled buffalo chicken meat, that was still moist and tender. It was served with potato chips, and although I've never that combo together, they were good. All in all, a few kinks to work out. Having attended college in Buffalo and lived in Western New York for years, I practically lived on wings, so my standards are incredibly high. After over 25 years in Florida, I can confidently say that Duff's Famous Wings in Tampa is the most authentic "Buffalo" wing I've ever had outside of Western New York. We started with the Bavarian pretzels and queso, which were very good. I patronized the original Duff's in Niagara Falls long ago, and these wings are exactly as I remember them--perfectly crispy and tossed in that signature sauce - we got the Mild Medium. The atmosphere has that classic pub/sports-bar vibe, and the outside seating is a great Florida touch. The service was top-notch; our server, Candace, was incredibly attentive and made sure our first visit was memorable. I was also impressed by how fast the wings made it to our table after ordering. All-in-all we ended up ordering 40 wings throughout the evening for the table. They have a decent draft beer selection and even some festive Christmas-themed mixed drinks right now. As big fans of authentic Buffalo wings, we were thrilled to see Duff's Famous Wings--straight from Buffalo, NY--open a location right here in Tampa. The Seminole Heights spot is fun and inviting, decorated with a great mix of Buffalo and Tampa sports memorabilia that gives it a lively, hometown feel. Our waitress was incredibly nice and helpful, answering all our questions and making great recommendations. The wings were everything we hoped for--crispy, saucy, and truly legit Buffalo wings. We also tried the beef on weck, and it did not disappoint. The tender roast beef, kick of horseradish, and soft, salty kimmelweck roll made it an authentic taste of Western New York. To top it off, they had all the Buffalo favorites, including Labatt Blue--which I happily enjoyed a few of. I'll start off by saying that I definitely want to return and try more of the menu... plenty of their items sound tasty! But when we came here the other night, I was craving a burger. And when I saw they had a smash burger (my preferred burger style!), I was excited to try it... and was a little let down. We came in the middle of the week around 6 pm with our toddler, and it was decently busy... a bit loud, but not so much that we couldn't hear ourselves. We already knew what we wanted, so my husband ordered 10 wings in their mild-medium sauce (they brought us samples of both the mild and mild-medium to try -- I think next time we'll try the medium too). I ordered the smash burger and asked if that meant it would be cooked throughout and with no pink (the server said yes). We also ordered the kids chicken tenders for our son. Our food didn't take too long to arrive. But before even biting into my burger, I could tell this was not a real "smash burger" -- it just looked like a regular patty that's just a little thinner than the usual giant patties you get at restaurants. I took a bite, and immediately saw pink, so I apologetically sent it back (I hate doing that, but I hate pink ground beef more). While waiting for my burger to cook longer, my husband suggested I try a wing. And truly, that is where this place shines (shocker, I know). This was a very tasty wing. I almost always leave some stuff behind on the bones of wings, but not with these. I told my husband that I'd definitely like to come back for the wings alone. My burger was brought back out and thankfully cooked through this time. I ate it, and it was fine, but overall a forgettable burger. And that's OK... it's not called "Duff's Famous Burgers," after all. But for anyone like me who loves a good smash burger, you might just want to skip this one (Tampa Bay Brewing Company in Ybor has a great one, by the way). Our toddler was unimpressed with the chicken, but he's not even 2, so don't put much stock in that. It was a HUGE portion of food for a kid (honestly, I've seen adult portions at restaurants smaller than this), and the chicken looked nice and crunchy. But on this particular night, he only wanted their shoestring fries. He ate them from his plate AND from mine. So my son gives their fries 5 stars, haha. First time into Duff's since they moved into this location after Ella's. We came in on a Sunday for lunch and we're immediately hit by a wave of Buffalo Bill's gear. Turns out, this is a chain from upstate New York. The Tampa location is their first in Florida and one of only 3 locations outside of NY. This place was very loud on football Sunday. We started with some of their frozen drinks, a creamsicle and a lemonade. I was disappointed in the portion size considering they are $12, but they are rather boozy. We ordered the buffalo shrimp to start and a southwest salad and wings to share. The food came out very quickly. The shrimp were just so so. The salad and the wings are where this meal really shined. The southwest salad was huge. Had I know it would be so large, we wouldve probably skipped the app and got half as many wings. The wings were very good. We got the hot garlic Parm, which were covered in fresh Parmesan, and the Cajun dry rub. The hot garlic parm was the favorite and the ranch was awesome as well. Went in for a late dinner this week. We had the wings, chips and queso and the chicken ceasar wrap. They make the chicken to order so it comes hot, but with cold caeser salad ingredients. So weird. An excellent place if you want watch sports and have good food and a variety of drinks. They had basketball football hockey and golf on all the TVs. Something for everybody. Our server was excellent and made great suggestions. Chicken Wings were crispy and cooked perfectly! We had the "garlic Parmesan" which was favored by the family. We also had the medium, which I will disagree with the heat level. I think the "medium buffalo" is a true blue medium. It was not hot at all. But very, very good. Three of us had the sandwich that they're known for. Which is a roast beef with au jus. The roast beef was really good however, the bread was soggy (all 3 of ours) so suggest they fix that. I just removed the bread and just ate the roast beef. The three of them liked their bloody Mary's! The iced tea is really good (fresh and strong). The crème brûlée doughnut is AMAZING! Duff's Famous Wings - A Mixed First Impression I genuinely wanted to love Duff's. With all the hype surrounding it and the buzz of a new spot in town, my expectations were high. While the experience wasn't bad by any means, it didn't quite live up to the anticipation. Let me start by saying--we love wings. Not the breaded, saucy kind, but classic naked, extra crispy, dry-rubbed wings. We know Duff's is known for its Buffalo-style wings, so perhaps our preferences just don't align with their specialty. Still, when a place calls itself Duff's Famous Wings, I expect all varieties to be great, no matter the preparation. We made a reservation, which seems to be standard for now, although the restaurant wasn't full--perhaps that policy will change. We invited a friend to join last minute, and the staff had no issue accommodating us, which was appreciated. We started with the hummus, as I'm trying to make healthier choices. It came with pita, carrots, celery, and cucumbers. Unfortunately, one carrot was slimy and some of the veggies looked a bit past their prime. The hummus had a runny texture and an unexpected sweetness, topped with lemon pepper seasoning that, for me, didn't add much. It felt like a pre-packaged option--something I wouldn't order again. As for the wings, we tried 10 with Cajun rub and 10 naked, all requested extra crispy. They weren't quite as crispy as hoped but passable. The Cajun rub had a good level of spice and flavor. The naked wings, however, were just that--naked. They lacked the depth I was hoping for, though our guest found them decent. Overall, nothing really stood out or matched the hype we'd heard. Now, if Duff's signature is fiery Buffalo wings with heat levels ranging from hot to "make your eyes water," fair enough--that's their niche. But as a wing restaurant, I had hoped every style would impress. On the bright side, the service was excellent--friendly, attentive, and welcoming. The remodeled space looks fantastic, and the area has long needed a true sports bar. Duff's fills that role well. In short, we're glad Duff's is here, and we want to see it succeed. While this first visit didn't blow us away, we'll likely return--just not in a rush. Note to management: Parking in Seminole Heights is often a challenge. While Duff's offers a decent amount of parking, the lot across the street behind the Pawn Shop is poorly lit and poses a safety concern at night. So excited for this location! We've been to the Buffalo location and our wings today definitely did not disappoint! They are currently by reservation only and we got there about 90 mins after they opened for the day. They weren't too busy. By the time we were leaving at 7, the place was definitely staring to get lively. I went with the sweet Cajun wings and they were awesome: crispy, saucy and flavorful. They've got lots of TVs and even more outside seating, so this place will be the perfect place to catch a game during football season (but beware: I'm more than sure the real deal Bills fans will make this their official watch bar soon) Oh! And they did a little renovation upstairs! Speakeasy style and the perfect place to grab a drink while you wait or after you finish eating! Hattricks remains the best spot for wings in all of Tampa Bay. Duff's tried hard, but it's just really not very close. I would rate their brussel sprouts higher than all 4 flavors of wings I tried. I came in at about 5:30pm on a Friday. It was packed. Like literally every table was taken. The bar area is pretty small. Maybe it seats like 15ish people. First up, I tried the $13.99 brussel sprouts. They were really pretty good a solid 7/10. You have to like blue cheese though or you won't like these. I wish they were a little more burnt and charred, but overall pretty good. Up next, I had an espresso martini. Oh my goodness, I'm pretty sure I've had better ones from frat parties at 3am. I wanted to spit it out it was so bad. Literally the worst one I've ever had in my life 0/10. I also tried a $6.50 Barrie Haus Beer Family Tradition. It felt like being back in Vienna so I approve of that beer. You're only allowed to split wings once. So here are the options: 5 wings $9.99 10 wings $17.49 20 wings $33.99 30 wings $46.99 So even if you order 30 wings you can only pick 2 sauces. One wandered around aimlessly, the other pretended I was invisible. No eye contact, no greeting, nothing. It felt less like I was a guest and more like I owed them an apology for showing up. Eventually, one of them took my order with the enthusiasm of someone clocking in for jury duty. Again--no eye contact, no small talk, just... going through the motions. The bar was sticky. The décor is full-on Buffalo pride, which I can respect, but the vibe didn't match. I ordered a Yuengling and 10 medium wings because the menu claimed that they were hot. They weren't. I also asked for extra blue cheese because I like to really smother my wings. When the wings arrived, the presentation was uninspiring. The sauce had pooled into a strange soup at the bottom of the plate, and the wings themselves were... fine. Not terrible, not memorable. Honestly, I've had better at Hooters. The "extra" blue cheese came in two sad little ramekins--neither full, neither impressive and neither with the same amount inside. Given how much Buffalo natives pride themselves on good blue cheese, this was a letdown. Overall, it was a pretty boring experience. Between the lackluster service, mediocre wings, and underwhelming atmosphere, there's not much drawing me back to Duff's. We've been in a few times. Reservations required... seems excessive but I get it especially during football season. First few times we went in the food was good, very busy -- crowded environment. The wings are good but not knock your socks off amazing in my opinion. The other menu items, are also just ok. We have tried many of the appetizers and found the to be ok. Nothing to brag again. Parking is a nightmare. The have tiny lot or you have to park blocks away... I don't mind but if you have a family or someone who can't walk a long distance it's inconvenient. Our last trip was a total disaster. The hostess asked us where we'd like to sit... my husband picked the outdoor area, but there were only large tables available- she said it was fine gave us menus and moved on. We waited more than ten minutes for a waitress and our waitress (who we've had and tipped well previously) was not thrilled and told us we had to move because they were going to get busy. She literally made us wait until a small table became available and then waited on us. She sent the manager out.. he apologized and took money off of our bill which was unexpected and kind but the reason we were there was for my husband to watch the game which he missed because our "new" table was no where near a tv. Meanwhile all of the large tables remained open for the duration of our visit. Just an inconvenient situation and not worth making the effort to drive out there again. It was cooked well but really what's the point of shrimp when it's totally overpowered by the sauce, shrimp had the appearance of factorymade but was not chewy, waitress said it was fresh. The fries were also an interesting choice of super thin potato stick style, tasty and crispy but there's a reason they are not more popular I think. Several years ago we went to Buffalo, NY, for a football game. As part of our tourism we hit up Duff's. We enjoyed the food and service so much we went back a second time before flying home. When we discovered Duff's expanded here we were excited to go. That's where the comparison ends... The prices were higher than expected, especially for Central Florida, The adults all ordered the Beef on Weck sandwich, which we all thoroughly enjoyed on our trip to Buffalo. We also ordered a 20 count of wings (which = $1.70 a piece!) to share, choosing Lemon Pepper and Medium Buffalo. Fries and onion rings came with the sandwiches. The wee ones were ordered kids meals. None of us thought the Beef on Weck tasted "great" even with the horseradish and/or au jus sauce provided on the side. Sorely disappointed there. The wings were well made and of average size. I was okay with the flavor of the Lemon Pepper, but the others did not like what they considered too much sugar(?). The onion rings were basic in flavor, as were the fries, and crispy (not soggy/greasy). Our waitress seemed nice enough, but failed in a few areas. No salt was brought to the table (for the onion rings and fries), or even inquired towards us. I retrieved it from the bussing station. There were only a few napkins in the bucket at our table and I had to abscond with the napkins from the table next door. While eating I flipped through their little daily/weekly specials carousel at the table and noticed that one special, before 4pm (we were there at 3pm), included a Beef on Weck and 5 wings for $21. Had the waitress pointed this out to us we would have saved about $15 on our bill! Anytime we have eaten out and there were unbeknown specials happening the waiter/waitress has always pointed it out to us. $15 is $15! We did order a slice of chocolate cake which was good. Needless to say we were all a little disappointed in the overall experience and it could've been better (2 stars). Finalllly made it to Duff's and you can just go ahead and start calling me a regular. We went on a Friday early evening with no reservations and our 2 year old, which I was nervous about since it's a sports spot, but I was happy to see plenty of other kids and that they converted the upstairs to 21+ only. They did a beautiful job renovating the beloved Ella's - love how the space turned out. We were seated right away and skipped the apps to go straight to business - the wings. We got 10 medium and 10 Cajun dry rub and they were everything! Super crispy and flavorful, the dry rub had a nice kick to it. I also loved the buffalo sauce and ranch and blue cheese. I'm a sucker for a good sauce, and you can tell they make them in house. The fries were also super crispy and thin. Overall - great service, amazing wings, family friendly. We sat at a table in the middle of the bar, which was a bummer for me because I'm hard of hearing and we mentioned this to the hostess. They said "sorry" and sat us and walked away. I think there may have been two servers for the entire upstairs with 1 poor bartender pouring drinks and also serving. Our bill was over $60 and the food was good, but the environment was trash and the workers didn't exude happiness/friendliness in the slightest form. 2. Ordering takeout at this place is a round robin nightmare. I've ordered takeout before, maybe two or three times. No issues with the first times ordering, though it's always a question who to talk to, to actually get the togo order because the hostess stand is unmanned. 3. Called again today (9/14) because the online menu (through Toast, which is a third party service) is showing orders of 30 or 50 wings, thinking to myself, I get it's Sunday but there's no chance they're updating their menu for football game days. Surprise, they are! If you want less 30 wings, you have to go in person to order. It's 2025, y'all. It's about time we talk about the management of this place and the inefficiency they try to pass off as a bar/restaurant. They're new, so I'd really like to see some improvement, but I'm skeptical as every single time I try to get food here, it's anything but smooth and so today, I'm taking my business somewhere else unfortunately. I really want to like Duff's, but I think management needs a lesson in common sense. read more

I really enjoyed the wings here. 10 wings for $17.49, I chose the "medium is hot" sauce for 5 and the "spicy bbq" sauce for the other 5 wings. The wings were excellent and cooked to perfection. The medium is hot were very hot and had me sweating so I can only imagine the intensity level of the other wings Duff's offers. I ordered the blind tiger to drink and it was a tasty beverage. We had a reservation and sat inside. The service was great, very attentive and accommodating staff. I love all the sports decor at Duffs. I def hope to come back to catch a game and try some more wings. read more

Well, as promised... we came back for the chips & queso! Even though the chips were a little on the stale side, it didn't stop us from going full beast mode on that queso. We probably could've used a straw for the last bit...not even kidding. My husband leveled down to medium wings this round (last time he did medium hot)...and the heat? Chef's kiss. ‍Just the right kick without needing a fire extinguisher. I decided to shake things up and ordered the sweet Cajun wings instead of my usual... and wow. Sweet, spicy, and ridiculously good. I may have a new go-to. Of course, we couldn't skip the iconic fries... and yes, we got another side of queso for dipping because why not live a little? P.S. To the owner who always responds to the yelp reviews...y'all really had my blood orange Paloma waiting... maybe two of them Now that's what we call hospitality. So the place was brand new when we visited, understood. The food was a-ok. Good wings, crispy. But like there are equal good wings. My issue comes with the disappointing attitude of the bar tenders. I'm not joking when I say they seemed to absolutely hate being there and taking mine and anyone's order. It made the vibe strange and we probably won't go back just due to that. Great service! Food was good but could have done better. The wings looked like they were coated and then sat for a bit so they dumped sauce over them right in the middle. They were still really good, just had to mix them up to get them all coated. The biggest disappointment was the bun for the beef. Below you will see two sandwich pictures. One from Duff's in Buffalo and one from Duffs in Tampa. The bun seemed like nothing more than a hamburger bun with the wrong type of salt and some remnants or seeds on it. The meat was tasty but the bun was lame. That sandwich is "beef on weck" and both components of that sandwich are equally important. The horseradish was on point though! read more
