Roseland waterpark is a good place to cool off and enjoy some water fun. Day passes are expensive compared to other local waterparks. Other parks can get more bang for the buck and experiences for the day. The season pass has more value. Free parking is a bonus. The waterpark staff is efficient and alert. Food service is very slow, but the food is good. Limited number of experiences but for young kids it's enough to spent a couple of hours hanging out. There is a gift shop on site for any items that may have been forgotten and locker rentals. There is enough seating for all. The site is clean. read more

I love this place! It's a straightforward water park, great for kids, several options, but not super thrilling. Which, if you're a mom taking a bunch of tween boys, is honestly quite perfect. I expect if you're a parent of a toddler it is also great but I can't speak to the tots section. Definitely go at 3 for the discounted price. There's not so much to do that you want to spend all day there, nor can you expect to picnic with your own food or find a lot of $$$ food for purchase (unless Dots and pretzels are your typical lunch). You do not need more than 3hrs at this park. You do need a ton of water and splurge for the locker for your valuables so you can leave a beach bag of towels and water on any of the many strategically placed shady loungers. There were no obvious water fountains or sunblock dispensers if that's what you're interested in finding at a place like this (lots of water for "employees only" though). The slides were all really fun, except the two hardcore ones which looked like a massive wedgie machine and an elbow cutter/bathing suit ripper, respectively. Stay with the inner tube options. You'll get plenty of exercise hauling those inner tubes up, but the group slide takes the tube up for you. Heaviest person will end up backward, so keep that in mind if the kids in your tube are complaining that they don't get to go backward and it's boring and you're breaking your neck trying to see the next curve and screaming "hold on! We're all going to die!" (Not me, obv, I was super chill and weigh less than a 12yo.) Maaaaaajor props to the lifeguards. The wave pool is rough with waves from each corner so you're just constantly swaying and a large deep end. The waves are turned off regularly so you can revive yourself for the next go around, but even still, it's easy to get sucked into the deep end and struggle if you're not a strong swimmer and just bouncing off the pool bottom to ride the wave. It's easy to get pulled deeper with each bounce until you can't touch. The lifeguards are stationed every 10' on each side and paying close attention- saw them rescue someone who'd just started that "I'm about to drown" look before any disaster occurred. I was in AWE. There was a lifeguard training happening the whole time we were there in every pool/slide and it was thorough and impressive. So important at a water park!!! One star off because the bathroom and shower area was pretty gross. Only one stall to change in, curtains didn't close, soaking wet floor, cold showers. Prepare accordingly. Also, the lazy river was NOT LAZY. Kids were being wild and shoving, which, fine, but mostly there are several long sections where you're basically fire-hosed and it is not great. Again, prepare accordingly, and maybe use the inner tube around your waist so you can walk through those sections to get through them faster. read more

Expensive compared to other local options like Seabreeze. The park is showing its age and is slightly rundown. All our staff encounters were pleasant. All attractions were open except the lazy river which appeared closed due to limited life guards. I would recommend going after 2:30 when admission is discounted. This review is based on my after 3pm visit yesterday when I was just looking to relax and enjoy my day off in the sun! $22 admission for adults after 3pm and includes all attractions including one amazing lazy river that takes about 15 minutes to go around once, It's that big!! Locker access is $10, but you get $4 of that back once you return the key. Nice, clean wave pool and plenty of chairs for lounging. Lifeguards were attentive without being obnoxious with that whistle. No food or beverage allowed, but there are picnic tables in the (free) parking lot if you want to pack a meal. Small park, but enjoyable, frugal, and not too busy when you go after 3pm! I will try my hardest to go again this year! (FYI- I'm told the lazy river is only open during the peak season since it takes so much staff to monitor it because of its size, so plan accordingly) read more

Management is the issue. A long time ago I had a permanent injury from slipping on concrete after coming out of the water. I noticed they still have done nothing to prevent it from happening again, like replacing the cheap concrete with actual water park flooring, or my rubber floor suggestion I made then. read more

Wish I could give this place 0 stars. Just went here paid for a day pass for my son and I. Tried to go into the park and they told me because of the rain and lightening they were asking everyone to leave the facility. I asked them to cancel the transaction and maybe we would go a different day. They told me no they aren't able to do that and that I would have to wait it out instead. It had not even been 3 minutes by the time they charged my card and I asked them to cancel it. I was furious. I don't understand how you can charge us for something we never received? we had no choice but to wait 30 minutes, for the lightening to clear. Then they extended it again for another 30 minutes. At that point it would be 2pm. I asked them for a refund again because it was not worth it for me to wait an hour to maybe get in or not. They denied me and said it was against their policy. I HAVEN'T EVEN ENTERED THE BUILDING AND THEY CHARGED ME $66 DOLLARS FOR A SERVICE WE NEVER RECEIVED!!!! Absolutely ridiculous. I don't understand how they couldn't cancel the transaction! I asked to speak to a manager or supervisor and they said it was out of their jurisdiction to give refunds. Like what?? Great place to bring the family. Friendly staff and never really crowded. As a 41 year old father, I was a bit let down by the Lazy River being closed. I just wanted to get away from my loud family, is that too much to ask? Roseland is a small waterpark, but is the perfect size for a young family. There is a wave pool, water playground, lazy river, tube slides, and raft slides. Kids can basically do anything at the park (aside from the tube slides) if they are with an adult... my under-48" three-year-old was SO HAPPY to be able to go on the raft slides like her older brother. With admission only $15 after 3pm on Wednesdays, our trip was less than $62 with tax. We'll definitely be back! read more

Clean and safe. We went early in the day on a Sunday. It wasn't busy and we didn't have to wait in line. There is something to keep all ages entertained. The adventure river was closed due to staffing issues, though. That was disappointing. It is small, so you don't have to schlep your belongings too far. They don't allow outside food or drinks, but they will allow trips to the parking lot to get snacks or have a picnic lunch. The parking lot is close and convenient if you don't want to purchase the food in the park. read more

Ok, this place is pretty pricy! We came the cheapest time possible and it was still a little gut wrenching in price for what it was. Roseland does have a nice layout. Plenty of seating and tables. An awful experience with the rudest staff. I bought tickets beforehand online and showed up to the water park for my son's 3rd birthday. They proceeded to tell us that all of their lifeguards called in sick so there was no attractions opened... and then REFUSED to refund us!! They told me tickets were non-refundable. We couldn't enter the park which was 100000% their fault because their staff didn't show up. How could you not refund your customer? We were promised a phone call from a manager but it's been almost a week and we haven't heard anything. So disgusting and unprofessional. Do not go here!! read more

We had a blast! We were in Canajoharie for a concert at CMAC. When we purchased the tickets in March, we never imagined how hot it would be come August. It was 93 degrees - a wee bit too hot for wine tasting around the lake. Too hot to do anything but be in water/swim. We knew nothing of this place until we saw the sign with the promise of cool waters drawing us like moths to a flame. So glad, too! It was a verrry hot Monday so, busy but not a 'zoo.' It had a fabulous wave pool, a bunch of super fun water slides as well as a relaxing floating "stream." We were just us two adults and it was perfect. Husband had forgotten to bring swim trunks for trip - gift shop even had those (!). They have a snack bar with typical summer fare (hot dogs, ice cream, etc.) but-- Note- no outside food is allowed. There are picnic tables right outside the gates if you want to save a few dollars and have your own food. Great place for summer water fun for the whole family. read more

Roseland Waterpark - The awesome wave pool(!) - Water Parks Near Me - Canandaigua, New York

We have visited Roseland on numerous occasions. This past trip over the weekend was very disappointing. Not sure if it's gone downhill in general because it's the end of the season or if this is how it was all season. 1. Gardens are all overgrown out front and the water fountain is gross. 2. The lazy river was closed. When there is literally not much to do for young children beside the kiddie area and riding on the lazy river with a parent for those unable to or not wanting to do slides you're pretty much SOL. Park should put a sign up at the ticket counter letting people know before they spend money for a major part of park to be closed. This felt extremely deceiving. 3. Water was freezing! Again no sign was posted with water temps around park. The big board they used to post this info on was next to ticket counter - should have known something was up. The water was entirely too cold for price of tickets. We belong to a pool club and are used to water being at 80+. Was at Seabreeze weekend before and water was 80+ degrees. When your feet and ankles going in kid play area can't get warm after exiting the water on a 85 degree day that's entirely too cold. Family was shivering on and off slides and my kids can play in hose water without complaining. Numerous families were complaining about temps of water. 4. Park just looks extremely worn down. Lots of beat up wood, half replaced boards on picnic tables, and bathrooms were disgusting. A lot to be desired. I'm shocked the same company owns this place that owns Bristol Mountain. Overall, we typically go every summer. Will not be returning. Felt completely ripped off and couldn't wait to bring my family home and boil us in the shower. Save your money!!!!!! I'd like to first say that I attempted to contact the park via their website to lodge this complaint, but my message was ignored/never answered, so I have resorted to this forum. I visited Roseland a few weeks ago with my 6 year old daughter. We visited last summer as well and had a great time. This year was very different. After enjoying the large raft ride shortly after we arrived, we decided to try the water slides. We went on a "double raft," my daughter sitting in front, me in back. The first slide was fun, so we wanted to try the second one. As the attendant set my daughter properly in the front of the raft, I got myself set in the back. The attendant then began to spin the raft around, situating us backwards down the ride. Well, I promptly requested, "can't we go down forwards??!!" The attendant replied in a VERY SNARKY, "I don't know" and proceeded to shove us down the dark, full tunnel slide...backwards. I have no idea why she thought that was in any way acceptable to do. Once we got to the bottom and we exited the pool, I was extremely nauseous as well as angry and upset. To make matters worse, my child and I then witnessed an older rider (60+) come down the same slide, screaming, BACKWARDS, and he then flipped over as his raft hit the pool. He got out, clearly in distress, and told his wife what happened, which was that the attendant had pushed him down the slide backwards against his wishes. I exclaimed, "she did the same to us, and I am reporting her!" I went to the gift shop and asked to speak to the rides manager, and I told her what happened. She said she would "talk to" the attendant. In the meantime, the older gentleman also entered the gift shop, purchased a bottle of water, then he and his wife quickly exited the park. My child and I remained at the park for only a couple more hours, but we completely avoided the slides and only went in the wave pool and lazy river, as we just did not feel safe going on rides operated by untrustworthy operators that think it's a joke to shove people down backwards. Not only was this incident dangerous for several reasons, it's simply terrible customer service and totally unacceptable rides operation. I asked for a full refund in my message via their website, but alas, I guess they don't care about the severe distress they caused me and my child and making it right. read more

I visited Roseland with two grandsons, 6 and 11, and my brother-in-law Joe, who lives in Canandaigua. My brother-in-law wrote the following, which he asked me to post: "Wonderful day, 5*'s for cleanliness, Staff warm and welcoming, Food Service, Water Quality and Safety. Roseland exceeded guest expectations! Thanks a lot and keeping it hot!" - Joe K. To elaborate a bit: It was a blistering hot weekday, so everyone had to be in the water often to keep cool. We arrived right when it opened. A nice size crowd- neither sparse nor packed. Wait times were short. I agree with other reviews - - it is "just right". Not so large as to be overwhelmed- with plenty to do. Just the right size for one day, and it was easy to keep track of the kids.. I was concerned that there would be some tension and boredom as the two kids are in different age groups, but it was great. The favorite of both the 6 and 11 y.o. was the Wave Pool. Surprisingly, all of us ages 6 - 65 enjoyed the bucket dump in the Kiddie Park when we needed to cool off!! The water and the park was clean, including the bathrooms. There was plenty of staff on hand who were attentive, enthusiastic and always aware of safety. We look forward to returning, especially given the heat wave this summer! Jim L. read more

My family just went here for the first time and we had a ball. The place is well kept and the staff we dealt with were friendly. They had a nice splash area for the little ones and a variety of slides for bigger kids and adults. We were able to do both of the water slides and all of the tube slides in a reasonable amount of time. The wait times were very short the day we went. Many of the slides allow single or double tubes and the one slide allows up to 4 riders. The lazy river was long and the wave pool was plenty big enough for the number of folks in it. All in all, it was a great visit. read more

Roseland is a nice park but they only have six water slides. Admission is $25 per person which is a little steep for what they have to offer. Overall, I would recommend passing on this park until they add more slides or attractions. read more

Very very small. However, there were few lines and the rides are not crowded. Parking is ample and you can bring a lunch to eat at the picnic tables at the entrance. No food allowed in park. They have a nice little cafe to buy snacks and lunch and beverages, no alcohol permitted. One thing I likes were the chairs everywhere! Nice touch for lounging in the sunshine. This is a great place to be on a hot summers day. Plenty of free parking and life guards, reduced rates for dry watchers. The only short coming is the price of refreshments is outrageous: $2.00 For a bottle of water $3.23 for flavored water... No matter, the kids are having enough fun to justify a little extra just don't get sticker shock when you need to hydrate. Lunch? You had better bring a credit card... Just saying. My family LOVES this place. We stumbled upon it last year while in town for a concert and had the best time. The following summer we made special plans to travel through Canadaigua just to go here again! The best part is how much fun they allow you to have. They offer lots of double tubes and you can go backwards!! My only warning is be careful when you go. We arrived on opening day, which seemed a little late. I drove from Buffalo because all I wanted to do was go to a waterpark with my friend! I see a lot of reviews about how $25 is expensive to get in, and let me tell you, it's not. Around Buffalo, you have to go to a theme park to go to a waterpark which cost's $50 to get into and then another $10 to rent a tube to float around in. Roseland was cheap, quiet and a lot of fun! This place is awesome. I've only ridden behind a boat before, getting pulled by a cable is pretty sweet. Fun features. I ever had to wait more than 5 minutes for my turn. Very overpriced for a small watermark. I decided to give it a try instead of our usual trip to Seabreeze and I instantly regretted it after we paid the entrance fee- which was the same as park admission to Seabreeze but with no rides, shows, or games or food options. In about 3 hours, we were done and ready to leave. My kids had enough of the 4 tube rides and wave pool and there was nothing else to do. They also do not allow any outside food or drink and an overbearing office employee made my 70 year old mother dump here cup of coffee before we could enter. However, once inside, the park is full of people openly enjoying picnic food. Every other amusement park I've been to allows patrons to bring coolers of food and drink, so this rule really was a turn off and a blatant way to extract more money from your wallet. The only plus was that the park was nearly empty and there were no lines and plenty of chairs, but at 28$ a person I can see why most people would pass on this park. read more

The Waterpark was great. The slides are fun and the giant wave pool.is awesome. The lines are usually not long. There is a lazy river where you can relax, and for the little kids, there is a kiddie area. The only bad thing is, is that the food has much to be desired in taste and price. For the price the food is, you could get something way better. I had a great time, and the person that said it was lame, is a hater, and was probably expecting Disney world. The park is just big enough for kids because it is the perfect size for them. It's not to big where it's overwhelming, but it's not too small where there is nothing to do. read more
