Gave this local business a chance today. Took in 5 pieces of clothing for cleaning. When I went to pick them up, after being ignored for a few minutes, the owner finally came around to help me. I handed him the ticket and he asked me for $50 for 2 pants and 3 shirts. Waaay above the average price for this many pieces of clothing. When I expressed my displeasure on his pricing. He answered, "for this turn time". (Which was 2 1/2 days mind you not same or next day.) "I should have charged you more!"...showed no empathy or try and give a discount to a new customer. Wow! Been 12 years since my last review for Ara and his team at Rosedale. I'm still a fan and still only go to Rosedale! Today, Ara went out of his way to help me on a last minute need. I would never expect it but he offered and thanked me for my loyalty as a long time customer. I picked Rosedale originally because I wanted a safer alternative to traditional dry cleaning. I walked in picking a dry cleaning for a family member who was not available to. Not a big deal and never had a problem doing this before other places. I walk in and the man at the front already has some attitude. I tell him the name I believed it was under (could've been under two peoples names) and he goes "You don't have a ticket??" and I said no that I was picking up an order for a family member. He shakes his head and says what's the phone number. There were two that it could've been so I kindly give the first one. He messes up the number and goes "You're giving to many numbers" and rudely makes a remark about how he can't keep up. I look at him in disbelief because of his tone with me from the start and say "Okay well let me try the other number". I say it and he acts all dramatic putting in the numbers. He finds the order then he starts going on about how I should have the ticket and he didn't mean to come off rude. I say "Well sir, you came off rude with your tone, I was giving you the number". I stay quiet the whole rest of the time and he can definitely tell I was upset with the service , changes his attitude, and tells me "Have a wonderful weekend" Who acts this rude to any type of service? The place wasn't even busy and I was the only one in there so it's not like I was taking up his time. Definitely needs an attitude check. First and last time coming here. This review is based on service... the owner or who ever the man is with the glasses and gray hair is .. very rude! I didn't have a ticket but told him my name and my clothing was actually the first thing I saw and said oh no but that's my order.. never at any cleaners was this ever an issue not having my ticket and just giving my name ... but the man wanted to argue with me on understanding why I needed a ticket I even showed him my ID and he told me still not good enough I needed a ticket. I am shocked reading through some of the past reviews. I've been going to Rosedale cleaners for the past 10 years - just about every single week, and I have always had a significant load of dry cleaning and lots of experience using other dry cleaners here and overseas. I am very happy that I have found a dry-cleaner that takes the time and care and I appreciate our relationship and the service my family receives. I have also referred many of my clients that live in the area and they also feel the same. My clothes are always nicely pressed, on time and smell great every single time that I pick them up. Ara also takes liberties to make repairs and definitely goes the extra mile when he spots a defect or stain. If I have left any money or business cards in my pockets, I always get those back in a plastic bag at pick up (this has happened many times). I have some sensitive knit shirts that stretch out if I leave too long on the hanger. Ara has added some special material to the hanger so the fabric wont slide or stretch. If I could give this place zero stars I would!! I took two peacoats there to get cleaned, one black and one light grey. I picked them along with some other items up, I got home and found a big stain on the front of my light grey peacoat, which wasn't there when I dropped it off (I wear the two peacoats to work everyday during the winter). I took it back and said very nicely at first that I found this big stain that wasn't there when I dropped it off. The man that works there insisted it was there when I dropped it off. When I told him again it wasn't and even showed them my drop off reciept where it would of been noted there was a bad stain, he inisisted more and then proceed to tell me that the jackets were filthy and disgusting and I brought my clothes in a big mess and that's why he remembers me bringing it in with a stain. First of all, I worked late so I folded my jackets into a bag along with a pair of pants therefore I did not drop it off and he couldn't have remembered me dropping it off. Second, I always double check to make sure if there was anything wrong before I took them and there wasn't, the only reason I was taking them was because the weather was getting warmer and I wanted to clean them before putting them away for the winter. Anyways back to the story, so he continues to argue with me, asking what I want him to do about it and I told him I paid for a clean jacket not one with a stain on it that it didn't have when I brought it in. All I wanted was for the stain to be taken off. THEN the girl who works the front comes up and pushes my jacket on the counter and tells me if I don't like how it came out I can take my things and GET OUT of their store. I have NEVER been so disrepected by a worker. I understand I was upset but I was asking for them to fix the problem. I wasn't asking for them to refund all the money on all the items I brought in (which was $70 worth of clothes). The man quickly apologized for the girl's behavior after I was already livid and said I would never come back again. He took the jacket and said he would try to get it out by next week, free of charge, which is all I wanted in the first place. I figured the jacket is already ruined, it can't get worse and I already paid good money. If I were you I would find a different cleaners unless you want to be insulted and called a liar. read more

My concern is that they charge alot.and my laundry wasn't even starched when I put them on there Was wrinkles in my dress shirt. (I was going to a wedding so I had to iron it myself. I liked this drycleaner because they're environmentally friendly and they use a special eco-cleaner solution and process (I believe it's wet-cleaning?) that's better for me and the environment. They were also extremely kind and helpful. I brought in a leather jacket and was worried about the wet cleaning process. They kept reassuring me that their specialist had done many leather coats and it came out great! They also gave me a bit of a price break for bringing in 3 coats to clean at once (heavy winter coats are pretty pricey). The only drawback, of course, is they are a tad pricier because of the environmentally conscious process they use. But it was much more reasonable than I expected, so if you care about that kind of thing, price shop and see if they aren't within reason for you. They provide excellent service! read more

I got my wedding dress cleaned and and to be boxed. To my surprise, it was just dry cleaned. And yes they did a great job getting the dress cleaned. But, first of all, he ask me for a deposit. 50.00. Which I paid. But this is a first I heard of a deposit at a dry cleaner. And secondly, when I went to pick up my dress, I thought it would be boxed. It wasn't. For what he charged, 125.00. (He said that was a discounted price) He tells the box was extra 75.00. Uh no! He never mentioned that to me prior to getting my dress cleaned. If I knew that I would of went up the street to another cleaner, who quoted the price of 25.00 more with the box. I always go to them for dry cleaning services, in the past. If I were not a law abiding citizen, one of us would have been in a stretcher. Try him, he is rude and obnoxious, but at first he will be nice and then later BAM! Clean your clothes otherwise the yourhighness will not fix your clothes, and once you go laundary the clothes and then go back, he will still charge you extra $5.50 to clean it. So far so great! I have had my pants hemmed here and it cost me only 12 dollars! My mom has had some items cleaned and they all came out great, then my sister had a bridesmaid dress that she needed major work on because she is pregnant and grew a lot! They had to add 9 inches of fabric and alter the dress totally. They did charge a lot $150, but the whole back of the dress looks like a new dress and they even lined the dress as well. I walked into this place after my old dry cleaner was getting worse and worse in terms of cleaning my clothes yet charging me the same. I told the staff that I was look for a new dry cleaner to call home, and what made them better than the rest. To my surprise "Ara" one of the staff, spent 20mins showing me all their equipment in the back and explaining to me in great detail why they do things the way they do. I felt very welcomed and almost part of the family, it was very clear that these people "truly" care about what they do and don't treat people and their clothes as just a "job".
