Our wedding venue was the Butterfly Garden in the Houston Museum of Natural Science. This presented a special challenge in that no "real" flowers could be used in the ceremony. I put real in quotes because Linda at the Secret Floral Garden created an arch with artificial flowers that looked so real no one even thought they were fake! It was truly awe-inspiring and our guests raved about it throughout our entire reception. She also created lovely bouquets for my now wife and our daughters and a boutonniere for me that also looked fantastic. We loved the decorations in the venue as well. It really looked amazing and we were incredibly happy with it. She also connected us with a printer who made a board for our escort cards as well as a welcome sign for the night before using our color scheme and our design. Isabella responded quickly to my text messages & after sending her a few photos I prayed and left it to her to create something amazing for our 1920's event. When I walked into the ballroom and saw the amazing helium bouquets she created for our centerpieces I nearly cried. They were so impressive and beautifully symmetrical. The 12ft archway welcomed our guests and could be seen thousands of feet away. I think they should have more seating in the bar area as its difficult to mingle without either dancing or awkwardly sitting at someones table. They do serve food and there is odd table service. Odd because you don't know who the servers are. They aren't wearing uniforms, name tags, or anything to know if they work there or are customers.I think the cost to enter varies on who is performing. It costs more to buy tickets at the door, don't ask where to get them in advance though. I paid $15 but the ticket said $10. Performers were very good. I was actually chatting with one of them not knowing it. Next thing I knew they were up on stage. Overall I would go back but I think it's better to go with friends due to the strange bar layout.
