This is a great place for a hangout with friends or date night. Even for someone like me who's not particularly artistic or creative, I was proud of my creation. There's a wide array of ceramics to paint with varying sizes and price points. Once we were seated, one of the employees gave us guidance on how to achieve the level of opaqueness we wanted, what patterns were available, and more. I appreciated the variety of paints and materials they offered. The turnaround time to pick up your masterpiece after it has been glazed is 3-4 days. You can walk in without any reservations. Also, it's BYOB for some added fun! This location is in the Meyerland area, however, there's several Mad Potter locations throughout Houston.

Olivia was extremely helpful and super kind!! Visiting from out of town and this was a super cute fun and inexpensive date. Would totally recommend!!! Chose a Halloween themed piece. Be prepared for hours to fly by while painting

Always a fun time for the littles. Staff is very helpful & friendly. Plus you get a little treasure to take home. :) I do wish they had more specials or a customer loyalty program bc it all can be a little pricey.

The Associates are so upbeat, cheery and friendly. Their interactions and instructions are so easy going and pleasant. They are extremely informative and super willing to assist. The establishment is for of wonder and color. The options seem limitless. There is no time restriction so you will not feel rushed. They have beverages in case you become parched. The music is soft and neutral. The temperature is comfortable and the vibe is pleasant.

My kiddo has been begging me to take her here since she's recently been into painting. We always pass it on the way home, so I figured why not stop today? I looked on their website for prices prior to going in, but they were mostly for private parties and the like. So basically we had no idea what were getting into when walking in. Thankfully though, the workers were friendly and welcoming whenever we walked in. The first worker, whose name I completely forgot, explained what you do and how much everything costs. Basically you pick out whichever item to paint and pay a flat fee of either $7 or $9, depending on if a child or an adult paints. Your total is the item you picked to paint (ours was $14) + $9, which ended up being around $24 with tax. They also offer drinks and snacks should you choose, but there is an added fee. We had to leave the mermaid there for them to fire it in the kiln, so they said it would be ready by Friday. That seems a bit late since it is barely Sunday, but whatever. All in all, it was a fun and unique experience, for kids and adults alike. Customer service was top notch, which is what I loved. Just be sure to check out each item's price as they become very pricey!

We just celebrated our daughter's birthday party here and everyone had blast! The staff are wonderful and very accommodating. I would definitely recommend planning a birthday party here or even coming to visit!

I encountered some challenges which the owner Steve immediately addressed and resolved--this is the reason why this studio is such a great experience. He quickly takes charge and makes sure that the customer is satisfied. It is clear that customer satisfaction is his primary goal. Steve, you have another loyal customer. Thanks!

My friends and I had a great bonding day at Mad Potter. The staff there was really nice and provided us with a great introduction session. I went to the counter to see what we needed to do, and the young lady was checking out customers and an older gentleman was also behind the counter with her. A younger man also walked up behind the counter as we were standing there. No one offered any information or assistance as we stood there to the side. I eventually asked her if we needed to do anything specific since we were just standing there to the side and she said "oh, sorry! I thought you were with the large party." She gave us instructions to select our pieces and then have a seat and someone would be with us to do the next step. We selected our items and had a seat. The two gentlemen were still around the counter or back and forth to help other customers with paint, etc. I made eye contact with both of them and they both turned away at several engagements. After about 8-10 minutes of no one coming to our table, my 9 year old looked at me and said, "Mom, I feel like no one wants to help us, and they've seen us sitting here for a while." WOW. An experience I NEVER want my child to have. We put our pieces back carefully, and left. I hate that was her experience especially because she was really looking forward to it, and there aren't many opportunities like this in our area, but I won't bring her back to be ignored.
