Pretty disappointed. Rose is great, I've been seeing her for a while. The new girl needs to improve. I've gotten her twice now and both times I was unimpressed. Today she even left a small scratch on my eyelid. I still have stray hairs and she didn't clip the length at all, so it just doesn't look as cleaned up. She also didn't wash her hands between me and the client right before me and she puts the string in her mouth (I'm pretty sure Rose does the technique where that's not needed.) I'm glad Rose is expanding her business -- she's worked really hard and deserves it. But this new girl needs better training to maintain the quality we've gotten from this salon for years. read more

Rose did a wonderful job!!! I have a TON of facial hair and it is not easy to do a good job on my full face. It takes a lot of patience and she was so thorough. She went over my entire face until she has removed every bit of unwanted hair-- most places don't do as good of a job- and I've lived in New York, LA, OC, Nashville and Arizona and have not found someone who does as good of a job as she does. Beautiful thick eyebrows! I usually grow out my eyebrows out every month to let them get thick, and Rose shaped them nicely without removing too much hair. I have gone to Rose for over a year now, and I will forever be a loyal customer to this women. Rose is detail oriented and patient with every customer that walks through her door. The only downside is the wait time, which can sometimes span over an hour (I swear half of Burbank go to Rose). However, I personally think the results are worth the wait. In fact, I moved to a different city and still travel down to Burbank bi-weekly for her threading services. I refuse to let another person touch my brows. I trust Rose with my brows, lips, and even life at this point. I'd let her thread my eyebrows with floss with her eyes closed. The women understands my brows. Also, she is the first eyebrow lady to not critique my eyebrows. In my past experiences at other threading or waxing salons, the ladies working on my brows would typically comment on the maintenance of my brows. Rose, on the hand, simply asked what I wanted, heard me out, and followed my instructions. Parking is also a plus! There's plenty of parking even on the weekends. In short, 100000/10 recommend. I usually go to another place to get my eyebrows threaded but was looking for something closer & open Sunday afternoon. I really want to come back because it's very affordable, has great reviews, and Rose seemed nice. However, I got cuts on both my eyelids - 1 painful one on my right and 2 on my left. Didn't notice til I got in my car that one was starting to bleed ( right one) and I decided to treat it at home. Threading, in general, can be uncomfortable but I haven't been cut like this in a while. I also want to add that the thread she was using continued to break several times on each side. Also never experienced that especially, since my eyebrow hair is not thick by any means. Wish her the best but I rather drive to my regular threading lady. read more

I got my face threaded yesterday and had a severe reaction to the threading immediately after/during. My face broke out in hives, and I have red welts all over my face and little white heads. I had gotten my eyebrows threaded before at a different place and this has never happened to me. I wasn't planning on getting my face threaded, but I had just gotten my nails done at an adjacent store and saw Rose's Eyebrow Threading Salon. The reviews looked good enough so I decided, why not try it? I came in with my make up on from earlier that day, unaware that you're NOT supposed to get your face threaded if you have makeup on because of the possible bacteria getting into your pores from the threading. You need to go in with CLEAN SKIN. Rose did not warn me about this or suggest I wash my face (which had makeup on) before the threading. She just began. I only learned about this afterwards when I was researching what I could do about this horrible reaction. As I was breaking out in hives, Rose didn't inform me this was happening to my skin, and I would've asked her to stop had I been. It was excruciatingly painful, but I guess that's to be expected with face threading? My eyes were literally streaming tears and my mascara from my makeup-clad face was running. (Just a heads up if you've never done it). My sister came in towards the end of the session to wait for me, and my sister asked if it was normal for me to break out in hives. In which I replied no, but Rose was almost finished at that point. At the end of it, and only at the end-- like right before she held up the mirror for me to see me reflection--she made a comment about how I had very sensitive skin (which I do). The only aftercare she provided was apprehensively asking me if I wanted witch hazel. I very much needed witch hazel or aloe Vera or whatever was available to soothe the horrible reaction. The ONLY advice she gave me after all was said and done was to ice my face to reduce the swelling. Which I did, but the welts still didn't go away. The main reason I am writing this review is because I think it is important to inform customers better. Everywhere online, says the best way to treat this reaction is to prevent it by having clean skin. I hope in the future, Rose will let a client know that they should either wash their face or come back another time if they have makeup on because of this possible reaction--Or warn clients if their skin is ACTIVELY having a negative reaction in the middle of the threading session. I also think better after care should be provided at the salon and after care instructions, incase a client has a severe reaction like I did. I understand that Rose is busy and trying to run a business. I don't think she's a bad or mean person, but I really didn't feel like I was well cared for in my experience. I never write reviews, but I wanted to say something about my experience so that hopefully something can change or people can at least be warned. I DID LIKE THE RESULTS OF MY EYEBROWS but I strongly suggest being more interpersonal with customers instead of being mainly result oriented. That is the best way to bring clients back in! I believe in second chances, and I don't mean to deter anyone from going, but PLEASE just keep this in mind. Hopefully this won't happen again in the future, and I wish your business the best of luck. read more

I've known Rose for several months now since she was at Vilma's but never gave her a chance. Honestly I was like $9.99 for eye brows? She can't do a good job when I'm used to paying $45-$150 for my eyes brows at Anastasia or Lily Maldonado. Today the boys went to Vilma's again for a hair cut and said to myself I'm going to give her a chance. I then realized she had open her own spot. I went over there on a Sunday morning, there was 1 person ahead of me. I'm going to be honest I was on pins and needles, afraid of her thinning them out too much. Great threading service! The regular place I go is eagle rock but I was looking for something closer to home. Her prices are much reasonable than other places! It didn't hurt as much as it usually does, which left me happy about my experience. She was patient and I felt bad since I had a full face service and she had people waiting. i have come to rose on several occasions each time i come i tell her i want them thick. every single time. today i did the same and told her i wanted them thick. she said okay then went on her phone. she finished the first eyebrow and showed it to me and i told her that wasn't what I wanted but to match the eyebrows and she made the other one a completely different shape. She then said that I didn't tell her I wanted them thick. i have never forgotten in over 10 years to tell them I wanted my eyebrows thick in fear that THIS would happen. i told Rose they were two different shapes and she said she'd fix it but didn't. i left crying. she was very rude to me and said that I was lying and didn't tell her I wanted them thick.
