I got my eyebrows done by Janet for the first time yesterday and she did an amazing job! She does threading inside a hair salon at a small room in the back. I had to double check at the address to make sure I was in the right place because the stylist I asked upon walking in ignored me, but her customer whom was getting her hair done, nodded, which confirmed Janet was there. Also, when I arrived there was a lady (I later noticed she was a stylist) sitting down inside the room and I asked if that was the threading place and she said "take a seat" so I was about to walk in, and she said "outside" but her tone was not so friendly.. I did think about leaving for a moment but I decided to wait and sat at a salon chair. Maybe a "Hello, can you please wait outside, she's with a customer" would have been nice. Vibes matter and proper communication is key. The last time I got my eyebrows done I had an unpleasant experience and I am not willing to put up with anything that I am not okay with. I was nervous because I didn't want to come out with cuts or short/uneven eyebrows but I trusted the few previous reviews here on Yelp, and I am glad I chose to go here. I didn't take a before picture but my eyebrows were pretty ugly since I hadn't done them in a LONG time! Lol. Janet confirmed she sterilizes her tweezers (I didn't want to get my eyebrows plucked) and she makes sure everything is clean, which should always be done but don't forget to make sure. I feel good about coming here. I used to pay less for my eyebrows (She charges $20) but the results are definitely worth it. I will update on my next experience. read more

I'm surprised Janet doesn't have more reviews so I figured I'd give my 2 cents worth. :-) I used to do waxing at another places but the prices kept going up so I decided to look for a threader once my wax pass expired at the other place. I found Janet here and decided to give her a try after trying someone else who did a good job but was a bit expensive. Her prices are extremely reasonable and she's just a a few minutes from where I live. I get my full face done because unfortunately fir me I have hair issues. ‍ My eyebrows always look great and the rest of my face is as smooth as a baby's bottom when I leave. I usually go to her about every 3-4 weeks. I won't lie and say it's painless but it's ok. The upper lip is sensitive so is a little uncomfortable but bearable. (I also use numbing stuff there that makes it a little better before I go). The rest is pretty much pain free. Anyway, I'd definitely recommend Janet.
