I was looking for a place to reshape my brows and I finally stumble upon this place on Instagram. I checked it out on Yelp and everyone raves so much about it so I finally gave her a call. Glad I did! My brows are gorgeous ! I can't stop staring at them . One thing that I didn't see in any review was the price . If you are a student like me and like to see prices before hand ( because we always broke lol) here it goes . So for first time customers , I was told it was $65. Once you become a returning customer , the varies from $45-50. I didn't know the prices prior to the appointment . I found out after I got them done . Good thing I had just gotten paid or else I would of looked like a fool with no money lol . In all honesty , yes it was a bit expensive for me . I went in for microblade brow services and unfortunately the result was uneven. The appointment took place in a shared room where another client was receiving a facial, so the room was dark. A lamp was used for the microblading, and after the service when I got home I noticed asymmetry in my brows. When I brought this up, I was told the correction would require an additional follow-up fee for this semipermanent eyebrow work that I had already paid for. It's not like it will grow back they are shaped unevenly with semi permanent color. Which During the conversation, it was also stated that I had raised this issue before, which was not true. I clarified that this was my first time bringing up this concern and even sent dated photos of her previous work to show that the unevenness was specific to the most recent service only. Despite that, the situation continued to be framed as a recurring issue rather than addressing the current result. I was disappointed because I had good experiences previously and trusted her work. Ultimately, I chose not to proceed further and will be having the issue corrected elsewhere. I'm sharing this for transparency so others are aware of how lighting conditions, corrections, and communication are handled. So this doesn't happen to you too. It's honestly disappointing that I had to experience this. Especially when a business is trying to charge to fix a service that had already been paid for. read more

This review is not based on Vanessa's fantastic eyebrow skill, but on the quality of service I have received being a loyal client since I've lived in LA. When I moved to LA about a little over a year ago from NYC, I was on the search for a decent brow esthetician. My phenomenal brow esthetician in NYC had recommended I check Vanessa out as many of her own traveling customers rave about how they have someone on both coasts they trust to do their brows. After checking VCFace Beauty's Instagram and being instantly awed by her quality of work, I made an appointment and waited anxiously for 4 weeks to get my brows done. I was beyond satisfied with the results as they had me coming back again and again. With that being said, I became a loyal consumer. I may not be a high profile social media celebrity like the other clients I hear about, but I was still a loyal customer. I have made every appointment I had on time or within the range of VCFace Beauty's grace period. I have also in turn waited for Vanessa for 15 minutes after I arrived on time for my appointment, in both circumstances when she was still working on a client or when she was running late in the mornings. This was the first morning I was not going to make it on time. Not wanting to be labeled that "late-customer-that-thinks-they-can-still-come-in-and-get-their-brows-done-and-that-the-world-revolves-around-them", I decided to call them during my drive to let them know that I wouldn't make it on time. I almost feel like it would have been best if I didn't call and got labeled as a "no show". That would have been a much better decision then deal with the receptionist demanding for my credit card information for the $50 is the cancellation fee. After having the receptionist hang up once I gave her my cc info, I called again to see if there was leeway, maybe seeing if I could get squeezed in (as I've heard other customers do before during my appointments), but I was told that if I were even to get rescheduled today then I would still have to pay another $50 + tip for the brows. After she said this piece of info, the receptionist hung up on me yet again. As someone who has been a loyal customer for a while, I feel like there was no empathy or any kind of understanding or connection there. I can understand if I was a one time customer, sure, or a customer who constantly flaked, but I was neither of those, and to experience this as someone who was loyal? Well, I don't plan on continuing my business here after this experience. read more

THE ULTIMATE BROW MAGICIAN! I'm obsessed with Vanessa at VC Face Beauty. She has resurrected my eyebrows like a Phoenix rising from the ashes - and I'm hooked on her services. Some background: I've actually never had my brows professionally waxed, because I've been afraid of the horror stories of women losing half an eyebrow to an inexperienced technician. Since I spend all my money at Sephora anyway, I've always just used the Anastasia suite of products, most notably their brow stencils to ensure that my brows were on point. More recently - I noticed that my brows have appeared thinner -- and to be honest, I never thought I was much of an over-plucker. As a test, I decided to stop plucking ANYTHING for 6 weeks to see what happened. What I noticed is that patches of hair began to grow in in key areas, that I would've normally thought were stray hairs, but because of the 6 week growth time they made the difference. At this point, I knew I needed a professional to maximize the fruits of the new brow growth, but didn't know where to look. Luckily, I stumbled across Vanessa's instagram account one day and was blown away. It's kind of crazy that I found her on IG, but I guess no crazier than finding someone on yelp. After coming to yelp to confirm that she was legit (ha!), I made an appointment -- and it was amazing. Not only did she perfectly trim and shape my brows, but she made product recommendations and showed me how to fill them in expertly. Plus, Vanessa is careful to ensure that she is providing the best quality of service. I let her know that I have sensitive skin above my brows so she was able to tweeze those hairs, and then wax the rest to avoid any potential breakouts or irritation. After two visits I am already a huge believer. I will definitely be back to ensure my power brows are on point and recommend her highly to anyone trying to grow their brows back in. read more

I did not come here for their staff, but I was able to see the facility and it's very nice! I came to have my brows done by a practitioner who was renting the space for a day. The facility was very modern and comfortable. I loved all the decor and it's easy to find.The building it's located in has a ton of other beauty and hair companies which is fun because you can have many things done the same day if you plan it right. My experience was mostly amazing! I went to get my eyebrows tweezed, the eyelash lift, AND a facial all at once from (I believe her name was) Cynthia. I know this was probably not the best idea now because I felt that she might have been a little rushed or pressured to go onto the rest of her clients. I was leaving California for a trip the next day so, I had limited time to do everything on separate days. Nevertheless, I am still happy with the results from the treatments received. There are a few reasons I am giving 4 stars and not 5 however, they are just nuances I personally feel could have been better. -Trying to ask questions and calling a few times to make an appointment was a bit annoying at first. I couldn't decide which facial was best for what my skin needed and I was just told to look online. -When I got there the atmosphere felt a little cold at first, everyone was just kinda minding their own business. I gave the information about my appointment and just sat down and waited. -Since I got 3 things all at once, I feel like I missed out on getting the full experience of each one on its own. For ex; I loved my eyebrow tweeze but she didn't fill them in because she said I might break out after getting the facial. Also, she told me she wasn't going to do one step of the facial because my skin would get irritated from the eyebrow tweeze. Which is understandable and I'm grateful for her knowledge on that but it's kind of unfortunate that I still had to pay full price for the services although I didn't get 100%. I have been going to get my brows done with Vanessa for about a year now and she is amazing! So talented! Honestly she has been the best brow lady I have had in like forever! She is honest,so kind, straight forward and the vibe at her salon is so relaxing and chill. When I get to her salon it's like all my stress and worries stay outside. Bc you have such a good time having girl chats, listening to good music. She treats you like family and always greets you when you walk in. I love how she takes time with each of her clients no matter the service you're getting done from a regular wax, or lash lift or even a brow lamination. Now the services I get is the lash lift and brown lamination. And OMG!!! I am so glad she offers these services! First of all I am obsessed with how my brows look so full and amazing and I get so many compliments! Vanessa's technique and formula is super unique and I have super sensitive skin and honestly I have no reaction it's all perfectly natural. She even gives you the after care tips and recommendations to make your lamination last longer. She also cleans my brows. The wax is not burning hot when she applies it to my eyebrows nor my skin. She does it so gently and quick idk how to explain it but its super fast and looks so amazing after! Now my lash lift ugh it's amazing! Extremely disappointed. I live in Orange County and was looking forward to finally getting my eyebrows done after two years of letting them grow out. I Called and spoke to them on the phone to make an appointment over a week before the set date. I also received my confirmation email. When I showed up no one was there. I called multiple times but there was no way of getting in contact with them. Was a great experience and I had allot of fun with Veronica however, call it what you will and do not mean to sound rude but I just can not allow myself to pay $45-$75 dollars for brows. I mean I do love my eyebrows and will go back with friends (girls lunch dates). I'm a mom putting a kid through college and a mortgage and a business and still can't get myself to pay the fee not to say she is not worth it. Just for me (myself) I can't. I live in San Francisco because my fiancé and I have been in a long distance relationship for 7 years and I started going to Vanessa...I would say probably 4 years ago or maybe even before that, I can't remember exactly because it's been a very long time. She was working at a salon that my best friend was working at somewhere in Beverly Hills. So one weekend when I was in town my friend and I had set a lunch date and I went over to meet her at her work. She was busy with a client, so she told me I had to wait until she was done so we can head out and grab lunch, in the meantime she told me to get my brows done by Vanessa. At first I got scared because I have NEVER had my eye brows done by anyone, I would always pluck them myself, but I decided to give her a try because I really needed a shape and she seemed like she knew what she was doing. I sat in her chair she laid me down and did her thing, when I got up to look at myself I was in shock...a good shock, I looked like a different person. I was IN LOVE with her work and I kept starring at myself in the mirror throughout the day. For someone that hasn't ever had her brows done, it was a big deal for me :) Long story short I have followed Vanessa everywhere, she changed salons and I just followed her. Anytime I knew I was going to LA to visit my fiancé, I would make my appointment months in advance so I can get in with her. Till this day no one can touch my brows but Vanessa. She is SOOO sweet and she makes you feel very comfortable, that's how I trusted her from the start. She does amazing work and always made my brows look bomb but she is very inconsiderate with time. I am a busy college student and had been going to see Vanessa consistently every month but the second to last time I was there, she canceled on me 10 minutes before our appointment saying she felt sick. Because of Covid, I completely understood but it was of course inconvenient as I live half an hour away from her salon and I was already at her location waiting for her. She let me know she would give me a discount the next time i was there but that was not the case. The next time I had an appointment I waited 20 minutes outside while it rained and she didn't care to ask me to come in and wait inside. She did not mention anything about canceling or giving me compensation for wasting my time. I was invited back for a better eyebrow experience and a different eyebrow technician. Vanessa took great care of my eyebrows. I decided to get a Glow facial for the first time and it was awful. The facial burned my face the entire time like my face felt like it was on fire. I told the technician it burned and she kept telling me that it's the enzymes working. I should have jumped out the chair and ran, that's how painful it was. I've heard the saying "beauty is pain" but this pain wasn't worth it. My tattoo didn't even hurt this much. Even another lady at the salon kept asking why I was in so much pain. I guess LA is too Hollywood for me. I'd rather have terrible skin that to sit through another facial. This review is not about the skills of the woman who does the brows because I left without receiving the service, and I can't judge that. However, I can judge the quality of the service and their professionalism. I made an appointment with them for my eyebrows for the first time in my life. First off, even if I explained that I never had my brows done before (I normally do them myself), there was a lack of information and communication in explaining me how the service was going to be, the time it was going to take, and the different options I had (in fact I thought I booked wax+tint, and only when I got there I realized it was only for waxing). They stressed me out by calling me 4 times to makes sure I was going to be punctual, including emails, texts and a final call 10 minutes before the scheduled appointment. When I get there (obviously extremely punctual), they make me wait for 15 minutes while eating cookies and chatting, until - annoyed - I complained (why would you stress me so much to be punctual until 10 minutes before our appointment, if then you make me wait?Isn't my time equally important?). The woman finally asked me to sit on the chair acting a little bothered by my complaint, and said that the price was $65 for only waxing... which was different from what I was told on the phone. Upset about how unprofessionally they were, about the lack of an apology, and shocked by the request of paying $65 to simply pull off some hair, I left. I also would like for people to know that they confirm their appointments for the day through a group text, so you find yourself in a 10 people group chat with strangers without being asked if that's ok, and in a complete violation of your privacy. read more
