I was nice enough to try this place twice. The first time was a bad experience as the lady did not clean up correctly and I had to keep showing her the spots she missed. The 2nd time was even worse! I had a different lady but missed more spots and she cut into my skin. I told her twice you're hurting me but clearly she didn't understand. Then make she put some lotion all over my face! I have been coming here regularly for years, mostly out of convenience because I work nearby. The service is average but very fair and reasonable given their prices. Sometimes there can be a wait but they often are empty so there is no wait. However, they will not accept customers even 10 minutes prior to closing. Perhaps it is just laziness but either way, horrible customer service. I've only had my brows threaded here twice before, but both of my experiences were good. Both times, I was able to walk in, sign in, and be helped right away. They are fast and efficient. After, they do slather quite a bit of aloe vera on. I like having aloe applied after, but I'm sure some might not, so it would be good for them to ask before applying. When I looked at my brows after and requested they be a little thinner, she was happy to oblige. Overall, good threading at a great price ($7 for brows). read more

I used to go to shapes brow bar but had switched over this place ever since they opened. Why did I? Oh, the big sign that says $7 for eyebrows. I used to pay $11 at the other place where I even had a one year membership for unlimited threading but hardly went. The reason? Even though I warn the ladies that I have sensitive skin, I always end up getting a cut. Ouch! Let's get back to Nora. So the cheapskate that I am, I went to try the place. No reviews to check, no here-says, no recommendations, just the PRICE. So the lady greeted me with a smile and signaled me to sit in one of the chairs. I immediately closed my eyes praying this better be good or I'll kick myself. A few minutes after, she lightly tapped my shoulders to advise that her work is done. My heart jumped out of excitement, or I would rather say anxiety because I'm not sure what I will find out. Voila! A perfectly shaped eyebrows with no cuts. I was so happy that I felt like I hit the jackpot. Woohoo! A masterpiece for $7! I repeat $7! So why not 5 stars then, you would ask? The ladies don't speak at all. I've been coming here for years! Middle eastern dudes can be hairy. When it comes to me that's an understatement :) Sometimes I keep scruff/beard and when I do get it lined up at the Barber shop it looks nice and full... for 2 days because the hair starts growing out again so quickly. I get the hair on my cheeks threaded whether I'm going clean shaven or keeping a beard. It looks way cleaner under your eyes as the skin is brighter and reduces any darkness(non hairy dudes and/or guys who have lighter hair yours will look cleaner as well). Waxing is a no go on my face. Tugging at your skin time after time can't be good for your skin. My hair is also so thick that there is always hair left over (yes I've been to many people who knew what they were doing and the only time they've gotten all hairs is when they took off a good few layers of skin as well). While they're at it I get my nose, eyebrows, forehead, and ears.... yes ears. Prices are good too, definitely would recommend. read more

This is my go to brow place! When you walk in you are asked to check in and then wait outside to allow for social distancing between customers, and they take your temperature before sitting you down. They wear masks while doing your brows and when you're done they wipe down the seat. Definitely recommend checking them out, they have raised the price from $7 to $9 for brows but it's worth it! read more

Literally just walked out of here and not sure I'm ever coming back. I've been threading here for a long time, back when they were upstairs on the 3rd floor and Bobbie was still around (she was amazing). Today was the worst experience and I couldn't get out of there fast enough. I did full face and the lady was super rough on my face, going so fast she literally tore my earrings out. I'm sadden to write this but I feel I must to prevent this happening to anyone else. DO NOT COME HERE. I've had my cell phone taken from me here! I've given my business here many times to get my eyebrows done, & what occurred here was beyond belief & truly sad but it happen. I will NEVER come here again and I NO LONGER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE. I came here to get my eyebrows done along with upper lip threading. After paying for my service and leaving their salon, I realized I had left my cell phone where I had set down my other belongings such as my keys and wallet. I rushed back to get my phone, but it was no longer at the countertop where I last left it. The employees present said they had no idea and did not know where it was/is/went. I called my phone from their landline, but my phone was already silenced. There are no cameras in this salon, so asking for help with cameras such as theft, was not an option for me. I rushed to Burbank Mall security who did an outstanding Job helping find my device. After 1 hour and a half of tracking my device, with two great security officers, and walking all over the mall and stressfully running around, one officer, then decided to lock my device for me and set an alarm to go off. Then all of a sudden, two employees of the salon came looking afraid, to return my cell phone. It was extremely suspicious, how they rushed to bring my cell phone back to the security mall office after officer Bre froze my phone, set aloud an alarm to consistently go on, & applied a personal message on my screen to return my device immediately to Burbank security. When I then went home, I realized I had a voicemail from one the threading salon employees answering my cell phone for an incoming call, but accidentally left a voicemail. A Nora threading employee answered my cell phone saying thank you for calling Nora threading, how can I help you, hello, hello , hello... on MY CELL phone!!! My phone was already being used for their business needs!!! That was the ultimate proof that one of their employees took my phone and was already using it for their own use. I'm beyond shocked, upset and ashamed with this entire situation. It is clear that there are dishonest female employees working here, and they forever lost my business. If anything personal has been taken from you from this place as well, I advise you to report this to Burbank Mall Security who take theft seriously. I hope this inappropriate, criminal behavior never happens again to ANYONE here and go through what I went through. read more

My daughter and I have been coming here for a few years. We loved it when it first opened. Went today and had a terrible experience. The women doing our eyebrows were so busy chatting with each other while doing our eyebrows that they completely messed them up. My daughter asked for just a clean up....already had brow shape....somehow left with two completely different brow shapes. A chunk was taken off my left eyebrow so now I have to wait for it to grow back because it can't be fixed without making my brows 90's thin. We'll never be going back to Nora Threading. I've been coming here for eyebrow threading for about a year already. Recently their work has gotten sloppy. I went for eyebrow threading yesterday and the lady went so quick she cut me in both eyebrows and over threaded that I now have two sharp lines and no shape in my eyebrows. Walked by this place in the mall one day and saw the $7 threading sign. Quickly looked at yelp, saw 4 stars, and went into the salon. They ask to sign into this iPad like device, and I was promptly helped after. The process was very quick and painless although I felt like it was slightly rushed. She didn't really ask me what shape I would like my eyebrows to be. I don't really have complaints about the end result though. I always get nervous when I try a new place for threading. Your eyebrows totally defines your face and this is why I'm picky. I don't know how to draw them in if they messed up. I usually drive out to Monrovia and that's way too far since I'm in Burbank. I tried another place in the mall and cried since it was so bad. This is why I'm willing to drive out and go to someone I trust. My sister tried this place out (she was recommended by her friends) and liked it. I said that I just wanted a clean up with some shape and not to cut too much, as long as it keeps its thickness. It was quick and she showed me her work. I went here today upon the suggestions of fellow Yelpers. I was desperate for an eyebrow fix before I leave for a destination wedding and went to Nora's Threading this afternoon and requested Jyothi. At around 2:30pm, there was no wait. One person was getting her brows done and I was right after. I showed Jyothi a picture of the brow look I like and she paid attention and fixed up my brows very well! She kept the angle which I really like and made them even since they were not. She was quick but still paid attention to the detail and is very nice! I would definitely come back here. $7, convenient, and a job well done! Will stick with Jyothi when I come back! Wish they had a rewards program ;) That is always good incentive to be a regular! Park and enter by Burlington as everyone else said! DON'T GO HERE. My sister and I have been loyal customers of the i-Brow threading salon downstairs in the same mall for a good five years, so we were heartbroken when they closed. (Kay, we miss you!) Desperate to find a new place we scoured the internet for similar threading salons that were popular for great service without the expensive price. Someone suggested this place. We were skeptical since they never have a lot of customers, but since it was just a floor up from our usual spot we gave in. After a few times I initially concluded that they were ok. They weren't as gentle or as great at shaping eyebrows, or took the time but they got the job done. That was my opinion until tonight. The girl who did my sister's eyebrows had a ring on, which gave my sister an allergic reaction. (At first my sister thought it was the girl's nail dragging across her face, but the girl was indeed wearing a ring on her finger afterward. Plus, she didn't ask my sister if she wanted lotion or aloe after but immediately put lotion on her face. Threads also understandably break every now and then, but her thread broke on my sister's face 5 times.) There were lines on my sister's face that became welts. It was a really concerning sight and she was in pain she doesn't usually get after threading, so we went back and told them about situation. They just offered alcohol and told my sister her face was sensitive (although she has been getting her eyebrows threaded for 10 years and nothing like this has ever happened to her). We explained that the ring on my sister's face literally left marks and they still insisted she was just super sensitive. We just wanted to know what kind of ring it was but got no helpful answers - just a nervous air knowing they were in the wrong but didn't want to confess. (The girl who did my sister's eyebrows had her hands in her pockets the whole time we complained.) I initially wanted to demand money back but was so angry I stormed out of there without saying goodbye and vowed never to return. Btw, they are moving to the second floor by Fashion Nova and Macy's, so remember that this is the same place. Please don't go there if you don't want to be in the same situation. read more

They would not accept anymore customers after 8:40pm. I arrived 20 min before closing time and walked in to write my name down. Mind you there were 2 ladies working and no other customers. They tell me that they are closed. I hen proceeded to ask them what time they close and they said 9pm. I told them it was still 8:40pm. Do they not want anymore money? I don't get it. They had 2 more customers waiting and they turn us away because they wanted to close early? I didn't catch their names, but they're not the usual ladies that help me. And I'm a regular customer. Anyway, super disappointed. Don't come here at night, they will literally close the gate on you, even while you're still inside while saying "sorry" multiple times. I get that you're sorry if it was like 9pm, pshhh or even 8:55pm...but we were there before closing willing to give them cash... Oh well...it was good while it lasted. I am very cautious with who does my eyebrows. I am not from the area but have been staying in Burbank for work. I didn't have time to go to my usual lady in Orange County so I yelped and found Nora Threading Salon. As an avid yelper, I looked through the reviews and made up my mind that I would have Jyoti thread my eyebrows. I walked in on a Thursday night and there were probably 4 other people ahead of me. I signed my name in and requested that Jyoti do my eyebrows. The other lady just called "next!" when her chair opened up, Jyoti checked the list and called mine and my friends names individually when it was our turn. I sat down and told her to please just clean them and shape them as evenly as possible, but not thin. The process wasn't painful, but I hardly ever think threading is painful, and it was quick. I'm guessing she was kind of rushing because after I sat down, many more people came in. I don't mind the rush, I get the need for a sense of urgency when you have paying customers, but don't mess up my eyebrows! They are an asset to one's face when shaped correctly. Anyways, my eyebrows aren't really even, and I'm missing a little chunk in the beginning of my eyebrow :( my eyebrow guard is going back up after this encounter. read more

First time going to Nora's today and I went due to the good reviews. The storefront is located on the 3rd floor of the mall right next to Burlington Factory. I went about 12:15pm on a cloudy Saturday. I signed in at the counter and greeted by one of the ladies. There were three ladies threading and about three to four customers ahead of me. I waited and was helped about 10 minutes later by Bobby. She was very nice and her technique did not hurt. She threaded my chin, lip and brows. It costs a total of $17 plus tip. I paid in cash and saw there was an ATM option if I needed it. I will go back. Glad I found it and liked it. read more

OK so I decided to become a member just so I could bookmark places I wanted to go and not necessarily to leave reviews. However, in this situation this business warrants a review. I used to love coming to Nora to get my eyebrows and my full face threaded, I would even bring my husband and my cousin to get theirs done. but after today this is my last visit here. The young gal that helped me Got aloe vera in my eyes and in my mouth. She just slathered on the aloe vera without even paying attention to where the aloe vera was going which is pretty irritating because anything in yours eyes will burn. So at the end when I went to go pay, it was clear that I wasn't happy with the service But I still left her a tip. maybe she wasn't happy with how much I left her but she literally threw the receipt at me to sign and It fell to the floor and I did not Get an apology whatsoever and as I left she didn't even say anything I mean hello you're still getting my money. It's so irritating because tipping is optional and even though I was not satisfied with my service she still got a tip and yet she wasn't happy about that. By far the worst experience I've had here at Nora's. It's employees like that that would make customers change their entire view about a business. So at this point I don't know if I would give them another chance or not but definitely cannot bring others here or recommend this place. These 5 stars are for the gentle, caring lady named Nisha. I originally only came in for mustache threading because I am Middle Eastern and if my upper lip hair is left alone for longer than two weeks, I could easily turn into Borat. Nisha gently removed each and every single unwanted hair from my face. At the last minute I decided I also wanted my eyebrows threaded and Nisha was able to accommodate that. When I normally go anywhere to get my eyebrows threaded, the pain is very unbearable. But Nisha made it feel painless, almost like a massage. I will definitely be coming back here and if you find yourself in the area, check this place out and ask for Nisha (Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday). Can't beat their $9 brow threading! read more

The ladies here know what they're doing. I have been getting threaded for over 10 years, i've seen all kinds of techniques and skill levels, this place is solid. They have over 5 threaders, each with their own schedule, so it can be tough to pin down your favorite (some are definitely better than others) but i've never left this salon with crooked eyebrows. Always satisfied with the results! Also! Amazing prices. Many places charge $20 for just eyebrows, so finding a place that does full face for that price is always a score. read more

This is easily one of the worst salons I have been to. First, they forgot to call my name on the list and started helping people who came in after I did. Then, when I was finally called the lady started threading my eyebrows and was done in 15 seconds (no exaggeration). I had asked her not to make them too thin but when I looked in the mirror my eyebrows looked EXACTLY the same as they did before-no change whatsoever. I asked her if she could make them a little thinner and she got really annoyed and said that I was wasting her time! Umm, I don't understand how she can say that when I am paying her for the service?? Then she threaded my eyebrows for another 5 seconds and said that it was all she could do.
