After written estimate, deposit, and completion of work Mike Bauer added $800 in labor to my final invoice w/o approval nor a valid reason. Ultimately tried to explain the $800 charge as for 'extra test drives' to check for issues with the same $2,800 repair I declined because it was not needed. Bauer was extremely rude, demeaning, and angry bc he was called out for these multiple attempts at padding my invoice. He got away with the bulk of it by refusing to allow me to pay what was agreed and wouldn't return my vehicle though i'd driven 4 hours to pick it up on Christmas Eve. YOU are much better off taking your equipment to the dealer for repairs.

She told me to come Sunday after 8 am to Pick it up but I had to drive it so computer registers it and come back on Friday. When I went to pick my car up with all paperwork such as insurance and registration and proof of title it was not there. The nice kid working in Sunday am said I'm sorry but we gave your paperwork to someone else. I said huh, that has all my info on it. I said is someone bringing it back. I called Pam 10 times and never responded or text me back to help solve it. I had to take the other guys paperwork and call him to see if he had my info. Needless to say they had his wrong number so I then had to find it on my own. I called the guy who took my info and asked if I can get it. The service station and Pam never called me to try to help or solve thier error. I won't be going there again with how careless they were. Anyone could have taken my info and car title.

They told me I needed a transmission two years ago when bringing it in. They quoted me something…read morelike 3k for a full rebuild/install. I ended up changing the transmission cooler because I noticed it only struggled to get in gear when hot. Anyways two years later same Jeep Grand Cherokee with the same trans and it shifts perfect and is still going. Maybe it was an honest mistake, what annoys me more is they performed a trans service without my permission, and when they did they striped 3 of the bolts on the pan, I am sure they used an impact gun. The pan leaks now. I don't live in NJ anymore, but I know the shop as it has been there for years. I just wanted to take the time out to write this as I thought it could be useful to others looking to get a diagnosis.
