Rosati's makes perfect thin crust pizza. It's like a cracker crust so we really love it. They have sizes that go from 10 inches all the way to 18 inches. You can get the cracker crust or a regular crust or deep dish. It is a Chicago pizzeria that we just got lucky enough to have in Valparaiso. Just like everything else though you're going to have to pay for it because two pizzas that were 16 inches one that was cheese and another that was sausage and pepperoni cost us around $55. But the girls that work at the counter are amazing and helpful and the restaurant itself is nice and clean. You can definitely eat there, but we only get it to go. The only thing I suggest they work on is cleaning that bathroom a little bit better. Otherwise, we are loyal customers from now on. read more

Good Pie! We ordered via DoorDash and were not disappointed. This was our first time ordering from Rosati's but it won't be our last. My wife is not usually a pizza person, so she is very picky about pizza. I ordered the Sausage Supreme: sweet sausage, onions, mushrooms, and green peppers. It was a good pie! They also sprinkle oregano (or Italian Seasoning) on top of the pie. I'd like to try it without that seasoning next time, just to compare. Still, it was a great pizza and the wife enjoyed it as well! This was our second visit to Rosati's. Unfortunately, I was not as happy with this visit as my first. The food was still good, but the service was not. This was a Saturday late afternoon. They were not very busy at all. Our waitress did not check on us until we were more than halfway through our meal. I needed a drink refill for some time, but she was nowhere to be found. While this is not a 5 star for a Chicago place (Peaquads for deep dish and Pat's for thin crust or Pizano's thin crust with corn meal), it is the best Chicago style deep dish or thin crust in 25-30 miles of Valpo. We order from this location at least once a month, sometimes more often. Tonight we ordered 2 lasagnas, 1 spaghetti with meat sauce, chicken w/ fries, & 2 tiramisu. When it arrived we were missing both tiramisu so we called the store and were told it was left behind after checking with their delivery driver. We were offered a refund or for them to bring it out to us. We didn't really think it was the delivery persons fault so we opted for a refund. As we were on the phone, we opened the rest of the food. It should have came with 3 pieces of bread, we only received 2( not a big deal but while we are giving a rating I might as well include everything). We saw a huge discrepancy in sizes of the lasagna. We were still on the phone and mentioned it. The person on the phone checked with their manager and came back with most ridiculous excuse I have ever heard. The Manager said "One size was bigger than normal because I made it bigger than normal. It should have been the size of the smaller piece". Are you kidding me????? This is the response after messing up our order to begin with. We were not asking for any discount for the lasagna but making sure this would not happen to someone else. We thought maybe they had someone not experienced cutting portions tonight, as we have had the lasagna before. Just an example of piss poor management and the inability to take accountability. I wasn't going to put a review in but that comment changed my mind. We will probably order again because for the most part we get good service and food from this location. We've been going to Rosati's for about 6 years, but it's been disappointment after disappointment lately. While the pizza is delicious when it's made properly, those instances are few and far inbetween these days. And with the $30 price tag for a large cheese pizza, that's just not okay! Our special instructions are usually ignored but this last time we went in, we had to request that they re-make our pizza, because they put Sausage on the pizza when we asked for Italian Beef. We can't eat sausage. The remake had the tiniest shreds of beef on it and all of the spices (probably) from the bottom of the container. This type of thing has happened at least 75% of the time when we order for the past couple of years. We're just so done with hoping for the pizza that we enjoyed when we first found Rosati's and being let down with the new reality. So this is how my pizza came. Pretty disappointing after a really bad day. Ordered a bunch of food so we pushed together and tried to drain the grease so we could all eat together. Called after and sent in pics and was offered to replace pizza if we gave back the first one. Needless to say that wasn't possible so I was offered a $4 off coupon which doesn't even cover my tip. I have been wanting to try this place for months now. Finally, after work last night I decided to place an order online. I ordered a deep dish pizza so of course it took a while to make. I went home & waited for my email to tell me pickup was ready. Once that happened, I drove there & went inside & presented my name for a pickup order. I could tell the young man that was working in the front started to panic after a minute of not finding my food. He walked back to the oven, & took out a pizza. I waited a few minutes & 3 or 4 staff members came to the front & showed me my order, it was burnt. They apologized immediately & told me they were going to refund my money. (I was more than satisfied with that) Then they asked me to write my address down bc they were going to deliver my order ASAP without charge. I couldn't be upset with them. We're humans & mistakes happen. They did everything they could to correct their mistake as well as make sure my experience there was still a pleasant one. Rosati's is rather mediocre pizza considering this is Chicagoland. The toppings are generous, of decent enough quality (I find the cheese subpar though), and the thin crust is crispy. Although new, the dining area of this particular outpost was filthy when I arrived at noon on a weekday. Do they not mop the floors and wipe tables before opening? They offer online ordering and mail and dispense coupons like crazy. However, even if you submit the coupon code with your web order or over the phone, you MUST submit the PHYSICAL COPY at the cash register at time of pickup. Otherwise, they will tell you "it says in fine print on the coupon that you have to have the paper copy" and not honor the discount. Stupid "gotchas" like this drive me crazy, especially when the pizza itself is somewhat overpriced considering the quality. In my opinion, I prefer The Rolling Stonebaker in downtown Valpo or the Tomato Bar. I think their pizzas are better and I can get a good beer at those places too. read more

Rosati's Pizza is located on Rt. 30, it's attached to a Starbucks in a small plaza by the Ford dealership. In my opinion this is not the normal Rosati's Pizzeria restaurant everyone maybe use to from Chicagoland. The set up is more like a pick up counter at a normal pizzeria because there's really no place to sit so if you're looking to dine in it's hit or miss. Seating is only about 20 people so more like a coffee shop not a pizzeria. The pizza itself is good so I suggest if you want this style of pizza just get it delivered. I dined in with my girlfriend and our daughter and was not impressed at all. The food was good but the service needs extreme help. The girls at the front counter do a great job with pick up orders but outside of that they need a lot of training to be able to multi-task and communicate with customers who decided to dine in. While We were there, there was an elderly woman who's order was either messed up or not ready and the girls did give her an appetizer while she waited and I watched her eat that and still waited another 20mins. A husband and wife were there and they didn't order a pizza but two sandwiches and they complained after 20mins because they didn't receive their food yet either. They even said how ridiculous it was and that if it didn't come out soon they were going to ask for their money back. Now the one girl went in back and out comes one sandwich but not the other. Not sure why it takes 20mins for an Italian beef sandwich but that's what it took for this couple. The wings I ordered came out right after the couples second sandwich so at first I was like ok sweet. The timing for the pizza not so much. It took almost another 25-35 mins after my wings came out. Now I heard the one girl tell the girls in the front at the counter twice that my order was ready and not until I asked kind of rudely what about my order and I said my number, Did the one girl who was told twice it was ready actually do something. I get being busy but if there is no structure to the methods in a business that is fast pace you are going to have problems just like the 3 people and we had. Now 3 people out of 100 that percentage is very small however if you don't correct the problem it will only grow and that small percentage will grow with it. Word will spread and a lot of people may go elsewhere. In business that shuts places down after a while. I highly recommend that training be done and instead of 3 people doing the same job how about 2 answer the phones and take orders and 1 handles the counter and customers in the store. If 1 is on the phones then 1 handles the counter and 1 handles customers dinning in. This maybe set up this way but if the manager is not managing the front as well as the back however small it maybe things go haywire and in my opinion that was the problem. Had friends in town from North Dakota. They wanted to try Chicago-style pizza. I got a deep dish and a stuffed from Rosati's. The deep dish was really good. Crust matched Lou Malnati's, very cheesy, sauce was good, a little more herby than Lou's. Highly recommend. Best you can get in the Region. The stuffed pizza, meh. Stick with Giordano's for that one. We arrived around 7:45 to sit and eat. They told us Pizza would be about an hour and twenty minutes. We decided to pass on that. We ordered fried ravioli,which they were out of and went for mozzarella cheese sticks and jalapeño poppers the came out quickly. The Marana sause was alittle weak but not bad. Called and was told the marinara would be out in 20 min . 40 min later i call back for a refund and was told the manager said the sides were on their way and to call back if i wanted a refund . When they bring the delivery there is a coupon pamphlet stapled to it I use the B10 coupon every time and they never once have asked for the coupon I picked my order up today using the same coupon code when I picked it up the clerk asked for the coupon and I did not bring it again they have never asked for it I have a stack of them at home so she rudely gives me my new total and I said can't you just give me one of the hundreds of coupons on your flyer that you staple to the bag and she says nope. Im not even sure how to rate this... Rosati's food is absolutely delicious, like I could eat there every day. Their bread sticks, which aren't sticks, are little pieces of heaven! Their pizza has a great amount of toppings, and their pasta is perfect. Sadly, their service is some of the worst I have ever experienced. My husband and I sat for over 20 minutes waiting on ravioli and a beef sandwich that ended up not even being the sandwich that he had ordered, we were also the only people in the restaurant at that point. After we got there, the place got pretty busy and the employees started to take breaks!
