Grandma's is the sort of place that you want to share with everyone. It isn't very exciting to look at from the outside but you are in for such a culinary treat if you do venture past the front door. The service is fast and friendly. The drinks reasonably priced but not an extensive choice. The food however is a delight. The Thai fish cakes are a must, followed by Thai red King Prawn curry. The thing we moast highly rate is the jasmine rice - if you come from south east asia it almost become a comfort food once you try it here! I find the spiciness of the food very apetizing for me but I think to most people they will find it too spicy. The reason I give this place 3 stars only is because I dont find this place clean. I think this is because they keep at least one cat(which means everytime we go in it smells of animal) which may be fine for cat lover but sorry - I dont like cat. And due to the smell and the lighting I generally feel this place is not as clean as it should be.

We ordered like the fat fucks that we are, and had fish cakes, chicken satay, squid and some kind of stir fried pork. I also rate their masaman curry and kanom jeeb dumplings more highly than I can express in words, and their homemade ice creams are fleek af too plus they do cool flavours like coconut and pandan. Your whole experience here is going to be heightened immeasurably by the cuteness of the tiny Thai grandma that serves the food. I just want to kiss her all over her jolly little face. She brings you these little spearmint chewy sweets with your bill that instantly take on the exact texture of pre-chewed chewing gum when you eat them. Maybe they are chewing gum?
