We absolutely loved our stay at the Rosario Resort. We had a basic king room, partial harbor view. It was spacious, comfortably appointed, and was a welcome respite from all our day's activities outdoors. The overall resort is also lovely. Featuring a spa, multiple pools (indoors and out), comprehensive fitness room with classes, and multiple eateries (the fabulous Mansion Restaurant, which would be a top destination even in San Fransisco, and their lounge restaurant and bar. The rooms are a ten minute walk at from the main house where all amenities are located, and the resort & restaurants keep, imo, short hours of 8am to 9pm, but that's part of island life. Rosario is minutes away from Moran State Patk, a must visit for hiking, swimming, running, picnics, and the fabulous views from Mt Constitution. read more

We stayed at the Rosario Resort over Memorial Day weekend. Here is a list of pros and cons: Pros: - Gorgeous, waterfront views from our room. - Very comfy king-sized bed. - Lovely indoor and outdoor pools, plus a nice indoor hot tub. - The hotel property is gorgeous; perfect for walking around and enjoying nature. - The spa is quite nice. I had a lovely massage this morning. - Staff is friendly and welcoming. Cons: - A bit rustic for a "resort" - rooms are dated and have very thin walls. We expected something a bit more luxurious given how much we paid for the room. - Food at both the restaurants was overpriced. Tonight I paid nearly $30 for a salmon Caesar salad at the Cascade Bay Grill. For the price, I expected a gigantic salad... but it wasn't a particularly sizeable portion. - Serious cleanup is needed in some areas. The paths around the property are covered in goose poop, and the women's restroom near one of the outdoor pools is in pretty bad shape. - The road that leads up to the guest suites is rough and poorly paved. I rolled my ankle trying to walk down the path earlier and now have a sprain. We have enjoyed our stay overall but will likely stay elsewhere if we return to Orcas. read more

Exceptional dining experience, and an amazing, historic and gorgeous setting. The Chinook entre was uniquely prepaired yet respectful of Northwest seafood etiquette - let the seafood speak for itself. The waiter was friendly, personal, warm, yet professional - really. This is rare and appreciated. The Rabbit was perfect and delectible. They are everywhere this year, as are the deer so drive very carefully. The was a woman at the desk in the shop when I checked in. She was very customer service oriented. The "spa" is in dire need of an update. The showers were not clean. I recommend bringing your own shower sandals, hair dryer and lotion because none of these things are provided at the "spa". I let the Spa Manager know that they were out of body lotion in the dressing/shower room. The Spa Manager told me that they have to order it even though the spa shop has a ton of body lotions for sale. I didn't want to wait in the shop wearing only a robe so I waited in the waiting room to be called for my massage. It was 15 minutes past my booked appointment. I walked into the shop and saw the masseuse gabbing with the Spa Manager. The masseuse told me later that she had no idea I was waiting for her even though i had let the Spa Manager know I didn't want to wait in the shop. There are no treatment rooms here even though there is a picture of a treatment room on their site. I was led to a room in the museum which was full of museum items. I heard people talking the entire time I was trying to relax. It was not a relaxing experience. It was very bright in the room because there are no curtains. The massage was good. Don't ask for cupping as an add on. It wasn't done correctly. It was not worth it. I was very disappointed. If you're looking for a real spa experience to treat yourself, this is not the place. read more

We stopped by to check out the resort in December. Jason, at the front desk, was very informative and friendly. We also saw the woman through the bakery window making pastries and asked Jason if we could purchase some. He had the lady come out and introduced us. Came for our anniversary. View was breathtaking and the room was nice. The grounds are well taken care of. The staff was friendly but we would like to mention Brendan from Anchorage Alaska. Our last dinner on Saturday night was at the grill in the marina. This young man was kind and engaging with us. His recommendations for cocktails and dinner was perfect as was the conversation. The caliber of professionalism speaks for itself. We did not experience this in the more expensive main restaurant. Don't get me ring ! It was good but the service in the grill was great. On arrival we where taking a selfie in front of the mansion. The grounds keeper , mowing the lawn , shuts down his mower and takes a pick of us. Not his job, not even close to his duties but he did and was so polite as well. We had a 3 night stay aboard our boat at the marina. The facilities were clean, with showers included (no issues with warm water). The wifi worked perfectly to stream movies at night. We were greeted by dock hands who helped us upon arrival, fine service. There was ample seating on the shore with many places to relax and enjoy the beautiful harbor. However, we should have done our research. I have been coming here by land for a few decades, and was sad to see the mansion had closed and with it the beautiful restaraunt and bar, and inviting staff. The more casual dining spot by the marina seems to have undertook new ownership. Aside from a friendly female staff member, everyone else was stand off ish and we did not feel very welcome when entering the store and coffee bar. It seemed like social hour for them and we chose not to dine there. It made me sad to see the harbor so quiet with not many activities and action as it used to be very happening and special. I understand I was not aware of the closures but overall a mediocre experience and will probably choose to moor elsewhere. read more

What a lovely place! The views were spectacular and the mansion is historical and beautiful. It is still possible to see some of the history around the resort and some buildings are even dated. The builder was clearly a visionary. We really enjoyed our stay and we choose the same place next time we visit Orcas. read more

Let me start with the positives - the location is great and the mansion is beautiful. Overall, the island presents a fantastic opportunity to explore. That's where it ends. Their service is ok-ish to begin with, and our experience was pretty much spoiled by the fact that not only I was overcharged upfront but the resort took an extremely aggressive position, doubling down on their actions. Instead of simply apologizing for the mistake and moving on (we all understand mistakes do happen), they continued to insist on the validity of their charges as I disputed it, with absolutely no documentation to support it. read more

Pros: We enjoyd our stay. Awesome view from our room, the best fries we have ever ate in the "Cascade Grill and Store", friendly staff. Cons: We had a ocean view room on the ground floor. We always got the dirt and the fir needles from our upper neighbors on our table, head and drinks because there are just planks on the balcony. The next draw-back was that our next door neighbors talked very loud on the balcony till 3am in the morning. I called the front desk at 2am, but she did not do anything also no appologize. read more

Pros - Gorgeous locations/views Located near Moran State park Friendly staff (Joey at the front desk will go out of his way for you, he deserves a raise) Quiet and relaxing Rich history Cons - No AC in the rooms (yet they are building a third pool) Some room locations are icky (avoid Hillside) Shuttle hours are weird (don't run to the ferry on weekdays??) Shared balconies The AC thing wasn't a problem for my (now hubby) and I; it was cool enough to open the balcony door at night, combined with the fan we were comfortable. Some of my wedding party didn't appreciate that as much, or the shuttle situation. We rented a car for ourselves so had no issues. Lounge food was delicious. Our room was nice. Overall for us it's a 5/5, will look forward to returning someday! read more

Location/Parking: On Orcas Island, past Eastsound, right outside of Moran State Park. The check-in, restaurant, mini-museum, etc. are located at the mansion, but please note - the rooms that you stay in are NOT at the mansion. Service: Front desk and house keeping were all very friendly and helpful. Rooms: We stayed at a Harborside - smallish room with just the 2 queens and requisite dresser/TV stand with small microwave and mini-fridge. Had a balcony with great view of the water. The room has undergone some renovation in the past 10 years - newerish dark furniture, but the bathrooms are still very dated 70s maybe? Amenities: My son and husband enjoyed the 2 pools - one outdoor/one indoor. We did not partake of the fitness room, although that was available. They have shuffle board as well. Please remember this is not your traditional resort per se. It's a historic site and I can imagine it's very hard to keep this place up. The view is AMAZING. Recommendation: We were there off season in May - stay 2 nights get 3rd free and it was a great deal. We'll probably be back for that. read more

I must caveat my rating noting my stay was right after their busy season and during the COVID pandemic.  They had a labor shortage.   Our dinner reservations at the Mansion were cancelled because they decided they had to close on Sundays and Mondays.  I let the hotel know well in advance I would be checking in late.  When I called to let them know that the ferry was going to be extremely late, they argued with me like that was impossible.   But my problem wasn't so much the service as much as the facilities.  Since I got in late due to the ferry being a couple of hours late.  They left me a key and instructions to get to my room.  I had a harborside room.  The road to get there was in horrible shape with ruts and potholes.  Once in the room, a dusty smell was noted. The room was well furnished with a comfortable bed, but it stopped there.  This is not what I would call a "resort" room.  It was reminiscent of a hotel room from the 70s that had been renovated in the 80s.  The bathtub was not something you would want to soak in.  The sink counter came up to about mid-thigh and I am certainly not a tall person.  The fixtures were dated. I felt like Rosario is a beautiful mansion and harbor that manages a Motel 6 on the other side of their property.   There was no option for in-room dining.  No mention of any "spa" or way to schedule a massage given at check-in nor flyer seen in the room. I have learned to not search under "resort" anymore.   Next time I will stay in East Sound.  Rosario is too far away from everything and not worth the drive. I would recommend the Rosario inn based totally on the view that the rooms have of the marina and the marina itself. As far as comfort and accommodations, it's woefully lacking. The service is extremely slow and the food ranges from delicious to not so good at a considerable price. The rooms are adequate. I sat an Adirondack chair overlooking the harbor and was greeted by a sea lion from the water. It was a magnificent hour and a half watching the sunset and talking to people as they Walked by who had fascinating stories to share. read more

The staff was beyond rude, and the food was over priced for the quality. The overall feel here, is that the restaurant is much greater than it truly is. Just like Adam P, I have been struggling with my review too. While the views and resort was pretty, there were some issues with our stay as well. Pros: - beautiful spacious grounds, flowers all around - even though there was a wedding there this July 4th weekend, we didn't really see or hear them except in the main lobby area. felt like we had our private resort to ourselves - live piano playing everyday at 4 pm - The view from our room was wonderful, enjoyed it with wine on our own patio - deers walked around outside our rooms on the grass - Free wifi, coffee, big spacious bathroom double sink - indoor/outdoor swimming pools, hot tub (crowded with families and busy hours) - dog friendly - quiet and peaceful Cons: - The room was meh, nothing resort-like to be honest. It wasn't terrible but it wasn't charming compared to the view it was offering. The bathroom tiles were ugly. - Cleanliness was a huge issue for me. There was a noticeable sized blood stain on the bathroom floor under my sink. We found a used baseball that rolled from under the curtain when we opened it. The carpets didn't look that clean. - This is the first hotel I have been to in my life where the bed was terribly done. The fitted sheet was placed last and it rolled up from the very first night and wouldn't stay in place. Terrible. - The cleaners looked either too young to be a running such a resort, or didn't look comfortable with their job. Not a single one of them smiled at us or looked happy. Not sure if the resort is underpaying and overworking them, or they hate their jobs but something wasn't right. - A lot of young boys do maintenance at the resort. The result was them hanging out and laughing in groups, so not sure how much of "maintenance" got done. - A few noisy cars and trucks kept coming up the road right outside our patio from time to time. - Check in is at 4 pm which makes no sense. Way too late. - Breakfast is not included at the price, which it should be. - Avoided eating at the Mansion after seeing the terrible Yelp reviews All in all it's a mixed feeling. Having seen other resort locations such as Doe Bay and Smuggler's Resort, the view here is competitive but not better. I think I liked Doe Bay the best. read more

I have been struggling with this review in my mind prior to writing it. There were so many great things with this resort but there were issues as well that I'm not really accustomed to. The good: The resort is visually amazing set into the base of a cove with panoramic views of other islands and the ocean. Since the resort is so spread out there is plenty of room to feel like you escaped, although if you made it here you already escaped! There is a great little grill with an attached market that sells useful items such as booze! Staff got us into our room for an early checkin which was great and needed. The average: My room. Nothing special. King bed, flat screen, bathroom that could use a renovation but I don't need granite countertops to have a good time. The below average: Sunday morning a little hung over and needing some food I was surprised that the grill was closed and so was the Moran mansion. So we had to drive all the way to the ferry landing so we didn't miss the boat and fill up on an epic breakfast sandwich at Mamie's cafe(review to come). The resort was full of people and food should have been available and advertised by 0730. Checkin at 4pm and checkout at 11am! Thankfully we got in early but the times stink. I would certainly come back to this resort but maybe next time if we stay longer I will entertain a rental house. read more

We only have three visits to Rosario to speak of: late winter & mid summer '05, and March '07. All before the change of management from Olympus Real Estate Partners to Gemstone Hotels & Resorts (who has been 'asset-managing' for the resort & spa since 2001) this year. We have stayed in their Garden View and Bayside rooms. The rooms had two Queen beds, coffee maker, fridge, cable tv, table/chairs, sitting chairs, and a full bath comes with two bathrobes and the shampoo/lotion/soap...etc from their Spa. The rooms were clean, quiet, comfortable...and the views/privacy from the balconies were nice. Our cellphones (T-mobile) had no reception there, and there was no internet connection when we stayed (except in the lounge, as we were told). With our room key we had access to their sauna/pool/exercise room. They were clean, not big, with changing/showering rooms (you don't have to walk out all wet and shiver all the way back to your room). Food-wise...we had dinner in their dining room by the window, looking out at the water, with a little breeze coming in in the late afteroon/early evening (plus a few stray flies). The view was pleasant, where as food was...rather unimpressive---which wasn't a problem generally, since we like to eat in Eastsound's many resturants anyway. We can't speak for the menu now that the managment is supposedly different. The location is nice, right on the water. You can walk in the early morning or in the evening on the premise. The walk paths had landscape lights and we have had deer encounters on our evening walks more than once. Moran State Park, which is a very short drive from the resort, offers an all-around view of the islands on top of the observation tower on Mount Constitution. We have been up that tower when it was snowy/icey, clear/sunny, even when it was stormy with a bad weather system coming in the area. Checking the website today, I noticed that the room rates were higher than what they used to be. We definitely still want to stay at their "Roundhouse" for once---the standalone and only "original Moran structure"---simply because it's so beautiful. I don't know...maybe it's the time when we arrived late at night and driving up to the resort through the winding dark road. Coming upon the resort at night took my breath away. It'd be sad to see Rosario change for the worse. There are other lodging choices, including many inns downtown Eastsound, for lower rates. read more

On 10 6 2021 -We scoured Yelp and looked the whole island over (off season) for some good coffee and breakfast and there was literally no one we could find open with exception to the Rosario Resort-. Bless them! We had no expectations going in as we had never seen the resort or heard of it and when we arrived there, we were super wowed by what we saw.. What an amazing facility! The history there is well documented, many museum elements to the main mansion. The music room was astoundingly beautiful. The grounds and view were absolutely magical. Our host at the restaurant was very good at his job. As is the case everywhere, there is a staff shortage and he handled the volume of customers with great grace. Our server was perfect and our food was great! I had the French Omelet (yumm!) and we split a little goat cheese savory danish that was delectable. My husband had the quiche - also excellent. The flavors of everything we had were subtly classy and not overpowering. The greens served with both breakfast entrees were fresh and inventive. The coffee that Rosario Resort uses it Tony's coffee, a 2021 recipient of Roast Magazines "Roaster of the Year". Tony's has been around for 50 years and has perfected the coffee roast as evidenced by our great cup of java we finally found that morning after searching Yelp for someplace open. read more

To start - this place definitely does not look like the pictures the on the website. It is also not a resort or a spa. The rooms are stuck in the 60s havent been updated, the carpet had stains and there was hair in the tub from the previous guests. The furnishings were also insanely dusty. All of these things could be looked past however, the worst part is the insanely thin walls and safety concerns. You can hear every single conversation from the rooms next to you and we could sleep all night because there was a bunch of rowdy guests yelling at each other until 5 AM. In the master bedroom there is a door that connects to the outside hallway and doesnt lock properly, major safety concern. The only plus is the rooms have a great view of the water. read more

My husband and I knew that we wanted to have our wedding on Orcas Island, and for us, the only option was Rosario. The property was perfect for our tastes as it is both charming and beautiful, well-kept and rustic. Jolene Versailles and Lori Fast were a dream to work with. They are easy to reach and keep in communication with you throughout the planning process. The site where we got married - the Point Lawn - is seriously the stuff of dreams. Pristinely manicured landscaping atop a hairpin bluff that overlooks the water and rolling hills of the island with 360 views - Breathtaking. Then the reception venue, the beach house is just a short 5 min walk. It has a deck with more beautiful views, a well-manicured side-lawn and deck perfect for cocktails, and the front of the reception hall has floor-to-ceiling windows with views of the water, which makes a perfect setting for the head table. The venue is made for your band, as there is an alcove for them in the back, and the beach house deck has shade and power hook-ups for them to do a small set during your cocktail hour. The ONLY negative thing I will say in this review is that the beach house does have a rather dated/conference roomy look to it, the carpet is pretty ugly ect... but this is nothing that a good florist and decorations person can't fix. Then when the party is over, people can walk 5-10 minutes to their room. This is a BIG reason why we loved this venue - it is so easy for guests, there is so much to enjoy right on the property, and there is no drunk driving after your reception. Now to the catering. If you have your wedding at the resort you are required to use their catering and drink services, you can find your own pastry chef for your cake. Trust me this is not a problem; the catering menu is AMAZING. We had the soy-glazed salmon and coconut rice and Rosemary steak as entree options - people are still raving to me about the passed appetizers and food at our wedding 2 months later. The drinks were really spot on as well, and they were very flexible in catering to our signature cocktails, finding fresh ingredients to make it taste artisanal. The service staff are incredibly professional. I brought my own recipe for a cookies and cream cake that their pastry chef executed past my expectations. My mouth waters just thinking about it. So many elements of our wedding were tied in with the resort and they were all executed flawlessly. They really work hard to make your vision of your wedding come true here. The adult pool is amazing, and there are lots of organized events that can depart from the docks of the resort - we organized a private whale watching tour that our guests really loved. PLUS for those who are flying in, they can land via seaplane on the docks of the resort - doesn't get more direct than that! The prices for rooms are very reasonable and you will NOT have any problems holding enough rooms for your guests - they really bend over backwards to make sure all guests have a room. If you are looking to have a fairy tale wedding of your dreams on Orcas Island or anywhere in the San Juans, stop looking around and call Rosario. You can thank me later. read more

My sister and i really love Rosario Resort at Orcas. It is beautiful. We always stay at Hillside Suites and love the view of the Seaplanes coming in all weekend. Think we need to try that at least once. Our food was good at breakfast and lunch at pool side. I had the Hailbut and Garlic Truffle Fries. It was very good. Dinner on the otherhand was a bit dissapointing. It was our 2nd time here at Rosario and the 1st time we did not do dinner so our expectations were very high. Our Filet was over bathe in sauce, too much. We couldn't find the potatoe and the plate looked empty. A nice Filet, but presentation was lacking which tells me some passion needs rekindled. It would have been nice to come with mashed or a baker potatoe. Oh, we found the "one slice" of potatoe underneath the filet. The seating was too close to the see thru glass kitchen and the area was very loud. Waiters clanking the silver water pitchers continually as the would be in a hurry to set it down. Dropping of plates in the dish washing area. What i dont understand is Rosario has the capabilities to set up for fine dinning in there lower seating area. Fine linens, candles etc. And make this a very special place for people. This was Fri. Night at 8pm. It fells like the staff was hurried, and didn't care much. What an amazing experience we've had staying here this weekend! Wonderful staff, beautiful room right on the water, clean room with a ton of space and incredibly lovely bed! The pool and jacuzzi were great to utilize and the lounge and restaurant are complete with capable caring staff and the willingness to change food orders for dietary needs. This is the second time we've stayed at the Rosario and were just as happy now as we were the first time. What an amazingly beautiful place. The staff is welcoming, friendly, and accommodating. We ate dinner in the mansion on a Saturday night (valentines night) and the food was exquisite. Our table ordered steak, lobster, and lamb. All were done to perfection. We also dined for breakfast which was a close tie as a favorite with dinner. I can't rave enough about that kitchen. We've eaten across the country and Rosario has some of the best plates we tasted. Unreal. The rooms were very clean and up to date. A fridge and microwave along with wine glasses and a bottle opener were also a nice touch that were unexpected. The grounds are well kept, and very beautiful. We enjoyed cocktails by the fire in the Moran lounge, a few nights in a row. Overall a hands down unforgettable trip. Again! We also got engaged on Mt constitution while we were there :) Thank you Rosario! We will be back again for many years to come. read more

After enjoying time last summer at Rosario, we returned with friends to enjoy our birthday weekend only to find it wasn't the same special place it once was. I am not sure if it's the management or they don't want families to come and would rather cater to a different demographic, but I did not feel as though the service in general was up to par nor accommodating. Even booking 6 months ahead of time, our request to have rooms nearby was shrugged off and neglected despite numerous calls, texts and in person calls confirming this was possible. Room service to bring extras was lacking and our room was in dire need of a face lift and maintenance. Our toilet wouldn't flush either which was non-sanitary and convenient. The cleaning service also left someone else's shoes on our deck from a previous guest. And we had to make several requests to the front desk to get more coffee packets brought over. Overall, hoping with new management we see some changes as this isn't the place I remember from last year and my childhood. read more

We didn't stay at the resort but decided to visit due to the history! We loved it! We spent one afternoon touring the mansion, grounds, and eating at the cafe. We came back a few days later to see the piano/organ show put on by Mr. Peacock. It was so much better than we could have hoped! We stayed at the Rosario Marina, not the resort. We haven't been there in five years and boy, have they improved the marina! It has an outside restaurant and sundries shop (called "The Grill") and a pool for marina guests with towels service. The facilities are nice enough (showers free and bathrooms). We splurged the $10 extra per person to lounge at the resort adult only pool. Same food and cocktails as the grill with service. It was very relaxing and the service was excellent. We started roasting in the sun and they brought an umbrella over for us. I also used the showers inside and it was much nicer than the marina facilities, which was to be expected. The pass was good til 9pm and I planned to return to use the hot tub, but I didn't. It was nice knowing I could if I wanted. The spa showers also had a hair dryer to use. The postcards in the spa gift shop were adorable and only $1/each. The WiFi sucks but other than that everthing was divine! read more

We loved being here and this island is an amazing getaway. Quiet and romantic. Clean with a wonderful view. It's what you make it, and everything is here. It really is away from everything Btw, Oprah just bought an 8 million dollar home on Orcas island. We tried to see it but it's super private. read more

Room was nice, excellent view, the food at the restaurant at the resort is top notch. It's quiet perfect weather, deer walking around the resort. I saw a bald eagle here. It's a quick drive to the ferry and towns surrounding! If I come back to orcas island I will be staying here again! Thank you for the great hospitality read more

We were a group of five women celebrating our 50th bdays. We booked the Harborside Hearth suite which were three connecting rooms: one room with a bathroom/2 queen beds/microwave/mini fridge/bathroom-center room with dining area, full kitchen, living room & murphy bed/bathroom-another room with king bed/microwave/mini fridge/bathroom. Five women in one place, we were delighted to have so many bathrooms. The outside of the building looks a little older, but the insides were very nicely decorated and the beds were super comfortable. There was plenty of room for everyone to spread out and relax. The Harborside building is about a 15 minute walk or a short drive to the mansion. The resort has beautiful grounds and we saw many deer and geese while we were there. We had several meals at the restaurant in the mansion. The service and food were very good. Three of us enjoyed spa treatments. The only minor inconveniences: Cell phone service can be spotty. Sometimes it is hard to figure out which small side roads to take to maneuver around the property. It would be nice if the spa offered manicures/pedicures. Overall, a wonderful relaxing experience. I would definitely recommend it to others. read more

All in all, a letdown. Dock staff a little inattentive, do not assist with docking even though there is about 5 of them running around? They say they only help if you ask for it....perhaps just hustling tips, but they spend a lot time yapping on the office. The Mooring balls were horrible...s/s ring sitting flat on top and your standard boat hook cannot grab? If your lucky to smack it and move the ring upwards you have to pull the whole mooring up...very heavy. Tough in brisk winds. They said they "all" just failed, and the internal chain could not be lifted up but it sounded like BS to me. Dock staff not at all up to service standard of Friday Harbor and Roche. Fancy restaurant? (which also shares food with the outdoor grill) was pretty lame. Whereas I had a decent Bouillabaisse Marseilles last year (broth) this year everything was mixed into (seemingly) a canned concasse (rough chop tomato) concoction, seafood was a little overcooked, "zero" broth and no Halibut as advertised! Really horrible fries as well. I was really mad because I invited friends to taste/order. Everything else seemed pretty lame, Seared King salmon looked like a mess, with risotto and not executed property, small Kobe wanna be steak served by itself, with a red beet sauce/puree...jeez how lame is that?...and I think it was $40 bucks or so? C' mon chefs, put together some decent plates that are full filling......its pretty simple. Stop cooking for yourselves and give guests what they want! We are on vacation, we don't want nor expect Le Cirque cuisine. I should mention the Exec Chef and Pastry chef was off (took forever to get our desserts and not worth it), almost three hours for dinner, 6 adults and three teenagers who ate off the bar menu. But the place should run well even w/o the chef and pastry chef. I took a photo of my dish and told the waiter i did this while sitting in the lounge the following day, and told him to say so to the chef in case he wanted to view what I received, but he did not come out..perhaps not informed. And I would be remiss to not mention the horrible waiter I had, such a pompous and pretentious knucklehead, and I never saw a manager all night on the floor assisting with direction which was really needed? I had to grab the kids menu myself from the bar as none were offered and look around and ask for rolls. We had limited butter because the kitchen was all out? Surely no one had time to grab some from the Grill Restaurant.......... On the second day we ate in the lounge with the lounge menu. Food was much better and varied, great waiter but a lot of confusion around check time, took a long time to get out. The Grill food was casual and not bad, but possibly a little too expensive. For lunch I paid $9.00 for a miserable slice of berry pie, nothing else, $6.00 should have been the price for an 8 slice pie. read more
