What I Ordered: I always just order the typical Puerto Nuevo "Special", which is X number of lobster tails, beans, rice, fresh flour tortillas, chips, salsa and a margarita with pretty much 0 alcohol. The barker outside typically will try to sell you a special that includes 4 small half tails and all the fixin's but 4 is never enough food for me, so I usually get him to sell my 6 half tails and all the fixin's for around $22-24/person. I've also had the fish ceviche here which is also very good.
Flavor: I've only been to a small handful of places in Puerto Nuevo and they honestly all taste the same to me, which is absolutely AMAZING. They cook the lobster Puerto Nueve style which means "Flash Fried" or deep fried for a very short amount of time. I prefer lobster cooked this style to the more standard baked/boiled/broiled style you get in the States.
Service: Always friendly.
Price: Great deal for what you get. I like this place because it has a view, but isn't right on the water so you get a much better deal than going to Ortega's or one of the more popular places.
Would I Come Back?: This is pretty much the spot I always end up in, so of course. read more
