They were busy when we stopped in on a Saturday morning - busier than usual because apparently the other coffee shop was closed. The staff was apologetic for the chaos but they did an awesome job holding it down! I got an iced vanilla latte, the breakfast sandwich on bagel, and a donut. The donuts are from a local baker and they were delicious! The coffee was also very good. I enjoyed the breakfast sandwich but I think I didn't realize it did not automatically come with cheese. That's on me, so this is my tip to you - it's delicious and would be even better with cheese. There is a little bit of seating inside but a ton of seating outside, which was perfect because it was a nice day. You should definitely stop in if you happen to find yourself in Georgetown. I know I will!

I'm the furthest thing from a health nut you could imagine, but went with veggies wanting to give my hard working heart a tiny bit of a break! I expected sautéed, but it was basically an arugula salad under the egg. Greens, red onion, bell pepper, tomatoes... how does this work? AMAZING! DELICIOUS! Best bite I've had in months. They had some staffing issues so Mama herself (I'm guessing) was there to help out. Fantastic experience all around.

The Secret's Out: Why Evergreen Bread & Cocktail Lounge is Our Forever Favorite…read moreFor a few years now, my wife and I have considered this place our little "under-the-radar" sanctuary. But let's be honest--when a spot is this good, a secret stays a secret for about as long as a fresh loaf of their bread lasts on a table. (Which is to say: not long at all.) Here is why Evergreen Bread & Cocktail Lounge remains our absolute go-to: * The Vibe: The atmosphere strikes that perfect, rare balance between sophisticated and soulful. Whether you're there for a quiet morning reflective coffee or a lively evening drink, the ambiance just works. * The Bread (Oh, The Bread!): It's the undisputed star of the show. It's consistent, artisanal, and frankly, addictive. If you haven't tried it yet, consider this your formal intervention. * More Than Just a Bakery: They consistently turn out dishes that are as thoughtful as they are delicious. From the first bite to the last sip of coffee, you can tell the kitchen actually cares. * The People: A restaurant can have great decor, but it's the staff that gives it a heart. The team here couldn't be warmer or more attentive; they make you feel like a regular from the moment you walk in. The Verdict? If you're looking for a spot that nails the transition from "morning bakery bliss" to "evening lounge elegance," this is it. We're already counting down the days until our next visit. Highly recommended--just don't be surprised if you have to fight us for a seat!

I absolutely love Ripple pizza and ice cream!…read more My favorite pizzas are definitely the Pizza alla vodka, pancetta, meat lovers, and the margherita. If you are customizing your pizza, I highly recommend trying the vodka sauce. It is to die for! I have had both the regular crust and the gluten-free and both are amazing, this coming from a pizza crust junkie. Good gluten-free crust is sometimes hard to come by so I was pleasantly surprised at how delicious this one was. They always have great ice cream flavors and rotation with lots of toppings to choose from. And if you ever want some to go, there's even more choices stocked in their freezer. I would also like to add that they have a great assortment of nonalcoholic beverages - great mocktails! If you haven't tried Ripple yet, you need to head over ASAP!

There are only a handful of businesses in Kittredge, a humble unincorporated town outside of Evergreen and Morrison (closer to the former). And shockingly, most of the businesses are great! This is another creekside restaurant and what's not to love about that? I've never actually dined in, only gotten takeout a few times. Doesn't change the fact that they are doing something right in the kitchen! At Switchback, they have the MEATS. As all good BBQ places should. My last meal consisted of their brisket, sausage, and mac and cheese. I really enjoyed everything I had. The sausage may have been my favorite, it was extremely juicy. Brisket is the best BBQ meat and theirs (even takeout) was tender and tasty. Like many BBQ places, the hours and quantities are limited. And for being in a remote unincorporated town you can't fault them for that. Take a scenic drive out this way and score some yummy 'que!!!
