My family and I visited this restaurant during its second week of opening, excited after hearing so many great things. Unfortunately, our experience was anything but great.
Right off the bat, we asked for some waters and a few drinks. Since I needed water for my daughter, I was particularly mindful of it. After some waiting, only one of the four drinks arrived. Another ten minutes passed before the rest came out--odd, considering they were all the same drink. When the last drinks were dropped off, I reminded our server for the third time about the waters. Spoiler alert: they never came. I asked throughout the entire dinner, even requesting one of the runners to bring them. Nothing. I had to walk to my car to grab water for my daughter, which is absolutely ridiculous.
The food? Mediocre at best. Bland. Given that new places often have kinks to work out, I decided to give it another shot last week, hoping things had improved.
I was very wrong.
We went on a Monday night, thinking a slower evening might lead to better service. Instead, our waitress had an attitude from the start. Once again, no waters. But this time, I came prepared and brought our own. We ordered orange juice for my daughter, but they brought out what was essentially water with a splash of juice--so diluted that even my husband and I couldn't drink it.
Then came the ordering experience, which was off-putting to say the least. When I asked to put in an appetizer and a kids' meal, our server just looked at me and said, "That's it?" Her tone was so dismissive that my husband and I actually considered leaving right then.
When she came back for our entrée order, I clearly told her that we would be sharing two dishes. This detail matters. As she entered the order into her handheld device at the table, within seconds, a runner was already coming out of the kitchen with one of our entrees. There is absolutely no way this was made fresh. And sure enough, the food reflected that:
* Stale chips--like chewing rubber.
* Ice-cold meat with an odd color.
* Clearly pre-prepped and left sitting out.
We decided to wait and compare. Sure enough, 15 minutes later, our second dish came out, and the difference was night and day--hot, fresh, correct color, and crispy chips. When I asked the runner if the first plate was freshly made, she insisted it was but said they'd remake it for us. Surprise, surprise--the remade plate took 10 minutes, not 30 seconds, and actually tasted fresh.
Adding to the frustration, we had asked for sharing plates since we were splitting everything. But our server never came to check on us after she took our order, and the runner forgot. I had to walk to the kitchen to ask for them myself--mind you, they weren't busy. Tons of staff, barely any tables, and yet they were just standing around talking.
To top it off, our server spent the whole night chatting with her friends at the table behind us, ignoring us completely. Even her friends noticed--I overheard them talking about it. And when I tried to get her attention? She'd literally pretend not to hear me and walk away.
At this point, my husband and I were over it. Our appetites were gone. But the icing on the cake? The manager was at a nearby table flirting with two girls. When I tried to get his attention, he completely ignored us.
Between the horrendous service, unacceptable food quality, and management that clearly doesn't care, this was hands down the worst dining experience we've ever had. It doesn't matter how beautiful the restaurant looks--if the food and service are this awful, it is NOT worth your time or money.
As a restaurant manager myself, I understand things don't always run perfectly. But this? This was beyond unacceptable. Please do better. read more
