First time trying this restaurant and was pleasantly surprised by how tasty the food was. I ordered a shrimp taco a la carte with a flour tortilla instead of a corn tortilla. It had a delicious blend of sauteed onions and bell peppers added to the shrimp with some shredded cheese. I was full just eating this one taco. My husband ordered the Chile Relleno & Cheese Enchilada plate which comes with rice and beans and LOTS OF CHEESE!!! Actually, too much cheese in my opinion. Everything was very flavorful and the portions are rather large. The owner took our order and was very nice. The customer service overall was excellent. The vibe is very beach casual with plenty of seating indoors and a couple tables outside. We will definitely be back to try some other items on the menu the next time we are in the Camarillo area.

Came by on a weekend afternoon for lunch. Friendly treating. Plenty of seating. Order at the counter and they bring food out to you. Had the carnitas burrito, yum! Soft and flavorful. Can split it between two people. It is large! Also had the crispy beef, and potatoes tacos. Beef tacos had lots of flavoring! Will definitely get those again! Jamaica is also good ! Our server kept checking in on us, she was very attentive and friendly.

Our favorite place for all kinds of Mexican food, but wet burritos are our favorite. I especially love the chilli rellenos burrito. This is the kind of local family place where they remember you when you visit and are happy to see you. It's has a fun surf vibe and a salsa bar!

Definitely after so many years I need to bump Olas up as they are my local surfer taco shop gem and their consistency is what keeps me coming back. Olas fits Camarillo perfectly as with so many traditional mexican and Latin flavors - it's nice to have a more beachy surf shop type of Mexican spot. Variety is key for us locals and when I want something that feels familiar and is a comfort meal Olas is always there. The restaurant hasn't changed in years and that's A Ok. Wood tables and benches this is a cozy little Mexican taco shop highlighting being on the coast. They have lots of surf memorabilia and posters that you definitely know you're in Ventura county. The restaurant is clean and spacious enough that you don't feel like the tables are on top of each other. The menu board is easy to read above the register and they have different bins with bottles and to go drinks available. The staff are always friendly and welcoming here. Family owned business and they work hard. I always see the owners working away and they are nice people. You feel like part of the family here and always a pleasant experience. The reason I updated with an extra star aside from the comfortable vibes and nice staff is that they are serving up one of my favorite carnitas tacos combo in the county. Their carnitas here hit everytime and this is definitely my favorite item on their menu. The two taco plate with rice and beans is super filling and it's a solid meal. Their carnitas continue to be my go to as they are very generous with their pork portions and their carnitas are just very juicy and flavorful, a little greasy but that's actually how I like them here. Major flavor and tenderness - some of the best carnitas in the area. If you haven't been to this local taco shop and restaurant in Camarillo you are missing out and you definitely need to add them to your rotation when looking for a casual spot to stop for lunch or dinner. Highly recommend you give the carnitas a try.

So this used to be a place my family and I went to all the time. I moved away from the area so it had been a minute since I've been in but finally I was out that way a few weeks ago and stopped in. Was happy to see they were still there and not much had changed. Carlos is always great and the service is always fast, clean, reliable. I was even more joyful to see the food tasted exactly the same and cost was still incredibly reasonable. I mean I can't tell if this burrito is a burrito or a small baby. The value you get for your money is great. The aesthetic is still the same. Very surfer grill-hangout and I couldn't be hit with more pleasant nostalgia. Thanks, Carlos!

Whenever i'm in town, i have lunch here at least once per visit. i had lunch today about 12:45, no waiting. Staff was friendly, efficient, and the food was quite tasty. i got a burrito that i should have shared, it was large. the restaurant was on the quieter side, even with 10 to 20 patrons. This is a great place for everyday lunch or to catch up with friends, as i did today.

After trying this place a few more times, I gotta say, it's one of my favorite places. The staff is amazing, love just having genuine conversations with them and they're actual people persons, not your typical "how is your day" that you get anywhere. I recently tried the Chile Colorado and Carne Asada wet burritos, both super filling and reasonably priced. While waiting I tried a new beer they had in the display case and was pleasantly surprised. They had a whole Ventura water polo team in there raving about the food as they scarfed it down after their game. Overall it was a great experience and I recommend this place to anyone in the area.

This place provided one of the worst customer service experiences. The man who took our order was rude, short, and unfriendly when I asked any questions about the menu. The food came out fairly quickly. Food was edible, but nothing that I would crave or think about. Nothing appeared really clean, and the ambiance felt very unwelcoming. I'm giving 2 stars only because the lady bussing tables was sweet and the portions are nice. I wouldn't come back. I would rather provide business to places that prioritize customer service.

Is this place still open? Stopped by today at 1pm and it appeared to be closed, perhaps permanently.

I believe they are closed Sundays and Mondays. I went on a Friday a couple of months ago.

Enjoyed the creamy salsa on it as well as the cabbage and pico de gallo adding a nice crunch and freshness to it. The quesabirria tacos had great flavor as well, though they were a bit too oily for my tatse. Overall, the food was enjoyable, but the tortillas weren't my favorite. They tasted like the store bought ones from the grocery store which i'm not a huge fan of. For dessert, we tried the churro donuts and they were definitely worth it. Perfectly crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside, and paired really well with the caramel sauce. Sweet, but that's exactly what you want from a treat like that. They also offer a good selection of drinks. I went with the guava lemonade and it was a 10/10. Refreshing and flavorful. There is some seating area indoors and more outdoors which is nice, but I do with they had heaters for the outside seating when it gets cold.

I shared this delight with my husband and we both enjoyed it. We tried a couple of the giant pastries that were on trays in a baking rack. You use a provided pair of tongs or plastic bag to pull your choice of pastry from the various trays. We tried two different croissant style confections and both were a hit. Though I have to say these were huge and we brought them home to eat them over a couple of days The fiilings are not overly sweet and have unique tastes like mango or pineapple. The crust is not flaky like a croissant nor is it dense like a cake but something in between with the creamy filling. There are picnic type tables outside on a narrow patio that you may have to clean off yourself if the previous patrons haven't tidied up after themselves. The staff have always been nice when I've come in. They are attentive, friendly and the food is whipped up quickly. Happy hour menu seems to bring in the crowds but I do think there are other places with a happy hour menu that gives you more bang for your buck than here. The food is average in many ways but very comforting. Probably I'd rate all of the different dishes I've tried between 3.5-4 stars depending what you get. I really love their albondigas soup and that's one of my favs. Never steers me wrong. Also their crunchy shell tacos aren't bad.
