I've tried their Oxnard location a handful of times when they first opened. Now I moved to Camarillo, I decided to try them again. I tried their birria tacos and it was not the best. They were looking kind of sad. Consome was fine not too salty. On the other hand, the asada fries were really good! I like the skinny fries, it had more flavor than the birria. I'm not sure if they still have it but they made really good strawberry horchata before. It was a hidden menu item.

The food was good, I got an asada Gordita and sope. Both were a good size. I got the horchata and it was pretty good. They make it fresh. Want to go back to try their other drinks that sounded yummy like the guava lemonade. The service was good. Cute inside and outside dining.

Street tacos were delicious! I also tried the salsas as it was my first time here-loved the red and green.

We usually go to the Tacos el Diablo in Oxnard but wanted to try out their Camarillo location, hoping that there would be more seating available. It's about the same but with indoor seating. Our beer battered fish tacos were forgotten twice, and I noticed that the beer battered fish were bigger portion in the Oxnard location. I still want to support this business, but will be going back to the Oxnard location next time.

Little taco spot but packs flavor. The staff were kind and helpful. The seating was limited indoors but they have outdoor seating. The food was yummy! I would come back again when I'm in the area.

This food is absolutely delicious. Had two Sopes one chicken and one Carnitas both absolutely delicious. I also had a sampling of all of their hot sauces, which are perfect for their namesake Diablo. I asked for spicy and voided it deliver. This is definitely my new favorite spot in Camarillo

The first thing I noticed about this place is it's kind of difficult to get to from the parking lot. You have to cross a busy shopping center parking lot entrance, walk along the sidewalk to the opening in their patio, then back to the front door. I hope their landlord discounted the location because it is inconvenient. The dining area is pretty small, but they do offer patio dining. Next weird thing I noticed as many have mentioned, there's no pricing on the menu. I wanted to sample a few things so I just started adding them in order of what I wanted and watched the bill add up on their register. It adds up quickly as this place is not cheap, but then again what is these days. Contrary to some other's experiences I found the staff to be helpful and patient as they answered my questions while I thought about what to try. I ordered chicken nachos, 2 quesabirria tacos, and 3 shrimp tacos. The chicken nachos were ok, a little lacking in flavor, but when I added their green salsa it added a nice taste and slight kick. Word of advice, be careful with the habanero salsa, they warned me it was spicy and it is. Too much habanero and you'll be sweating and coughing. The wife had the shrimp tacos and said they're a solid 4 stars. She would like to come back based on the shrimp tacos alone. We split the quesabirria tacos which were good, the consume is delicious, but I like them to be a little crispy on the outside to keep everything from falling in the consume. These were the best tacos I've had in Camarillo, but there's not much competition. To drink I tried their horchata. This was like liquid rice pudding, very sweet. They said it's homemade but it had a very familiar Ole Bang fountain taste, just with lots of cinnamon. Overall everything was mediocre (except the horchata), but their salsas and consume elevate everything to good. Well that's this critic's review, until next time, I'll be eating.

    Quesabirria tacos???

The most skimped tacos I've ever seen. I would never come back and order these again especially if I am supposed to pay 12$ for two pieces of meat in 2 cheese and onion/cilantro tacos. I also got a pastor burrito which was good and chorizo nachos which were okay, could definitely use some improvement. 2 stars for lack of attention to detail on the food

We finally got around to trying Tacos El Diablo in Camarillo last week. Should have stopped in sooner, it was fantastic. It's casual counter service. The young lady that took our order was very helpful and polite. The decor is minimal with appropriate Spanish tile multi-colored chairs, but also comfortable booths where the prior Greek restaurant just had tables and chairs. We ordered their signature item, the Quesabirria tacos and an order of carne asada nachos. Both were very good, but the Quesabirria's were definitely the star. They are a crisp double corn tortilla taco with a layer of jack&cheddar cheese between the two shells. The interior is stuffed with slow braised tender shredded beef, onion and cilantro served with a tangy green salsa on the side as well as spicy consommé. I felt the heat level on these was perfect when dipped in the consommé, spicy, but not blow the back of your head off. The nachos were simple and what you would expect, I really liked the authentic Mexican crema drizzle versus thick sour cream and the use of cotija cheese on top of the melted jack and cheddar. Bonnie doesn't like refried beans, so they put them on the side for me. Her loss they were great too. We will definitely be back to try some of their other items like the Asada fries and Gordita's.

Grilled and fried fish taco with a michelada on the patio in 80 degree California winter.

First time here. Thank god for this place, I was wondering if I'd ever find a SOLID fish taco near West Malibu where I live. This place hits the spot on so many levels: ambiance (a great patio with plenty of shade and umbrellas), the best traditional fried AND grilled fish taco I've had since I moved from San Diego (garnished with limes, radishes and pickled red onion on the side), a tasty michelada (complete with chamoy AND tajin rim), 3 equally SOLID salsas, and great service from the ladies at the register/running food. This ex fine-dining server says it's worth tipping even if it is counter service!! Thank you for being a solid restaurant. FOH/BOH knocked it out of the park. Can't wait to come back and try something new.

The orders are so aesthetically pleasing. I have got multiple things to go. The guacamole is very good. An order of vegetarian nachos was my favorite so far. The salsas are very spicy(but come on the side). I asked the guy at the register what was vegetarian... he was very explanatory and kind. I was given many options and told that a lot of things can be made vegetarian as well. Quick service and cool environment. I think it is definitely worth checking out.

Even though the food wasn't impressive this time, the customer service was! We sat on the lovely enclosed patio. Vanessa was our server. Her service was 5 star! She was friendly, checked in on us, and all around went above and beyond! The food was pretty good. I got the single portion chicken fajitas. The chicken was very tender. The dish as a whole was lacking flavor. Dare I say it could have even used salt. I was a bit disappointed, but very hungry. I ate half and took the rest home. My mom got the 2 item combo with a chili relleno and beef taco. She loves chili rellenos, but was not happy with hers. Her plate was covered in cheese, but the relleno had no sauce she said. The taco was just beef with a little cheese and a few strands of lettuce. Nothing like the pictures on Yelp. My dad got the taco burrito and he enjoyed his! We loved the chips, salsa, and bean dip! The young guy refilling chips/dip was on top of everything and very sweet! Although we weren't impressed this time with the taste of the food, I will definitely be back to try again!

I shared this delight with my husband and we both enjoyed it. We tried a couple of the giant pastries that were on trays in a baking rack. You use a provided pair of tongs or plastic bag to pull your choice of pastry from the various trays. We tried two different croissant style confections and both were a hit. Though I have to say these were huge and we brought them home to eat them over a couple of days The fiilings are not overly sweet and have unique tastes like mango or pineapple. The crust is not flaky like a croissant nor is it dense like a cake but something in between with the creamy filling. There are picnic type tables outside on a narrow patio that you may have to clean off yourself if the previous patrons haven't tidied up after themselves. Then things got even worse when I had the audacity to ask for ONE extra salsa. Just one. She immediately began talking CRAP about me (RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME) in Spanish. BIG mistake. While I might look like a gringa, I grew up in Mexico. I am Mexican. Spanish is my first language. How dare she start talking crap about me for politely asking for one extra salsa REALLY!!!! I understood every grunt of vile disgust coming from her. Hector, we have met. We've talked. We've laughed when I told you you needed to serve beer. You can see my previous review. HOW CAN YOU LET THIS HAPPEN???? I would tell absolutely everyone about your amazing tacos. NOT ANY MORE. I am so disgusted.
