While attending the Villain Arts Denver Tattoo Convention, I recently had the privilege of receiving a micro portrait tattoo from an incredibly talented artist visiting from Rorschach Gallery, Jaimie Wilson. This masterpiece was more than just ink on skin to me; it was my heartfelt tribute to my beloved dog who passed away, too young, from cancer last year. Jaimie accomplished tattooing this tribute with finesse. The level of detail in the micro portrait is mind-blowing. Every single stroke captures my dog's goofy unique features and personality in a way that brings tears of joy to my eyes. The artist's ability to transform a photograph of my furry friend into a work of art on my skin is nothing short of magical. Throughout the whole process Jaimie displayed an exceptional level of professionalism and sincere friendliness. And so humble! He did great to include me in the design steps, prepare me for what to expect during tattooing, and information on the proper aftercare. During the actual tattooing, he also regularly checked in on my comfort level, which was no problem at all. Almost dozed off a couple of times! If you are seeking a tattoo artist who not only possesses exceptional technical skill but also possesses a genuine and compassionate heart, I wholeheartedly recommend Jaimie Wilson at Rorschach Gallery. My daughter and I got our first tattoos here on May 5th. Jay was our artist and he was fantastic. Losing our dog prompted our tattoos. We made the appointment two weeks in advance in person and met Jay and Brian. Both of them were friendly and sympathetic about us losing our dog. On the day of our tattoo, Jay was on time and had our tattoo designs already prepared exactly how we wanted them. He was patient and helpful while we were stressing about placement, never making us feel like we were a burden. Even though the tattoos were small, we were still treated that our tattoos were important. Jay explained the process before he began and made us feel comfortable and confident that our first inks would be nothing short of perfect. He is a skilled artist. When he finished with both our tattoos, he clearly explained the care and healing process. The Rorschach Gallery shop is cleaner than most doctor's offices. The atmosphere is friendly, warm, welcoming and professional. We walked out excited about our tattoos, saying good bye to everyone in the shop like we've known them forever. An absolutely amazing job, as soon as I walked into the shop for the first time I could tell from the surrounding art that the work that was going to be done on me would be sublime. The spectrum of talent is unrivaled. It's uncommon for tattoo artist to continue another ones work. But after my artist bailed on me without notice, Brian had picked up no questions asked other than "how do you want to continue it?" . Not only did he throw in creativity, I would have to say he did a better job than the last artist, which lead me to go back more than once. Even art and talent aside, the accommodations were as if I was in a professional yet home like atmosphere. Asked questions during the session of what I think, or how it's feeling. Then , go above and beyond to ask about the healing processes along the way post session. I would, and do, recommend first timers and tattoo veterans to go to Rorschach galleries for a great tattoo experience! The most amazing Tattooing experience I've ever had!. My tattoo was created by Antonina and is truly a work of art. The studio is clean with plenty of artwork by the artist...this is not just a Tattoo shop!. Entire staff even the receptionist is incredibly attentive, to making sure your comfortable and feeling well through out the whole process, especially since mine was bigger piece getting done all in one day, to even just friendly conversation that makes you feel right at home. Fantastic. This was my second time being tattooed at Rorschach. The first time was in Edison, the second time in Hillsborough. Jessi performed my art the first time and this lost recent time my artist was Hoagie. I love both of the tattoos I received and both artists were very friendly and helpful. They were patient when I was explaining what I wanted and having them create a design. The facility is clean and the tables are covered in those thin papers that are at the doctors office for cleanliness. A couple weeks after getting Inked the gallery followed up with me to see how I was healing. I am extremely satisfied with the service here and will always go here for a tattoo. I had a horrible experience with 2 piercings previously done at another tattoo and piercing shop. They were crooked, never healed correctly, and they used 2 completely different bars for 2 identical piercings. Alex removed those piercings for me and was so kind and helpful and told me to come back in a few weeks so he could re-do them properly. He did an absolutely amazing job and was quick, professional, and very precise. The piercings are absolutely perfect now and I cannot thank him enough. He does not use cheap jewelry which I learned had previously been used in the piercings, causing issues with healing. I highly, highly recommend Alex and cannot thank him enough. read more

I went to the Hillsborough location to see Jodi who is an apprentice. I got a small T-Rex tattoo on my forearm. There were people being tattooed while I was there with these amazing sleeves. Even though mine was just a minimal tattoo, Jodi still took time to make sure that I loved the placement and shading of my tattoo. She made sure I was very happy with it when it was completed as well. She was very professional but at the same time made me feel comfortable. She answered all questions I had. Big or small tattoos alike I would suggest this shop to anyone looking for quality work! Will be back in the future when I save enough for the sleeve I want to work on!!! read more

Alex was recommended to re-pierce my daughter's ears after a nightmare experience at Claire's. He was extremely professional, gentle and patient with her, took his time to make sure she felt comfortable, and to educate me on why it's so important to pierce ears using a needle instead of a gun. They are healing beautifully and we couldn't be happier with the results. I also wound up having him do extra holes for my ears and the experience was quick and relatively painless and am really happy with how they turned out! Would highly recommend Alex at Rorschach for all your piercing needs -- particularly getting your child's ear piercing done right! read more

I chose Rorschach Gallery Hillsborough after seeing the artist I liked just recently moved there. Walking into the studio to set up an appointment, I was immediately impressed. The studio was clean and spacious and the front desk person was friendly and helpful. When I came back for my appointment with Brent, he had already drawn up a design for me based on a prior email conversation and it was exactly what I had envisioned. Through out the appointment, Brent was transparent, easy to talk to, and efficient. I love my new ink and look forward to going back to Brent and Rorschach for my next tattoo! read more

I got a 1/4 sleeve watercolor design tattoo by Sunday Brian and it is awesome! His work is absolutely top notch and he has the hands of an angel (pain was definitely kept to a minimum). Everyone at the gallery is super-friendly and didn't make me feel like I wasn't cool enough to be there (this was pretty common when I started getting tattoo in the 90's). Everything was ridiculously clean and sterile. I would highly recommend getting a tattoo from Brian (he can entertain you too with the tales of his own artwork) as there is honestly nothing I don't love about what he did for me :) read more

They do all they can to make you comfortable and relaxed throughout the entire process. My experience at Rorschach Gallery completely exceeded my expectations. After months of looking for a place/artist I landed on Daniel Labiut aka Dink and booked my first appointment. Since then Ive had 4 sessions, each a better experience then the last. All the artist and staff are super nice and really make you feel comfortable while you're there. If you're looking for neo traditional or realism I highly recommend Dink. He really does exceptional work. Got my tragus pierced by Alex and had a wonderful experience. The shop is extremely clean, with lots of great artwork and oddities to look at while you wait. Alex was so great. I was there on an impulse so I had a lot of adrenaline going when it came time to get pierced. He was so chill and calm that once we started I totally relaxed. He did a great job with the piercing and explaining the aftercare. I've had issues in the past with piercings healing, and haven't had a single issue with this one. Last Friday, I got my second tattoo. Dennis is amazing artistic, he did this one...it is feather on my lower tummy, and I was blown away by his artistic skills as well! He is very friendly, quite gentle with his tattooing. He exceeded my expectations, and I am so incredibly happy with my tattoo. I highly recommend this tattoo shop. Walked in with two friends on a Tuesday night, and Jessi was able to fit us in. She was patient, listened to our thoughts, stayed late to finish with us, and came up with a fantastic design we loved. The tattoo looks absolutely amazing, and was significantly less painful than other tattoos I have received despite being in a sensitive spot. The shop is brand new and immaculate. I've gotten several tattoos by various artists in the shop, as well as pierced multiple times by Alex and cosmetic tattooing by Jenn. I've been to a few local shops and this shop blows them away, easily. It's a pretty sweet art gallery too. Awesome, down to earth, hilarious people who make you feel welcome and at ease. Definitely the cleanest shop I've ever been to. Really friendly, knowledgable staff as well! I got my nose pierced by Alex Christopher and he did such a great job. Haven't had any problems with the healing process at all. I'll for sure be back for more piercings and I also plan to get some tattoos in the future from their super talented artists. Got tatted there today, Flip was my artist, and I would totally reccomend him for any artwork you would want! They are super laid back, down to earth, and do their best to make you as comfortable as possible. They give you options, and you are truly getting what you pay for.
