I came to this place after reading the reviews, and let me tell you, most of the reviewers are right! This is an excellent little place to get cosmetic things done. A cozy little waiting room with soft pillows and a comfy couch. There is almost never anyone waiting, which is great for people who are a little more private about their procedures. The procedure rooms are super clean and modern. I had 5 sessions of IPL on my face to remove some dark spots and smooth out my complexion. My skin has never looked better! So happy I came here for my facial and laser with Jamie. She made me feel so comfortable being that I have acne and really helped me get my skin better!!! I got the microdermabrasion facial which was absolutely amazing. Jamie was so personable and explained the process throughout everything. Zero star !!!!Very dishonest!! This is what after 5 laser sessions looks like!!! Adam said he laser my whole tattoo and the only section that was peeling was the center of the rose. Went to see a dermatologist and three dermatologists told me this does not look like I have gone through five session. I would never go back to this place again. Very very disappointed!! I want to say I had a good result with the laser tattoo removal service- but that would be a lie. While the place itself is super clean, with great hours for working people, easy parking, and Adam was very friendly and personable, the results were subpar. I purchased a package of six and gave up after five sessions, seeing very little change. A little lighter in color. My biggest tip is to find a specialist who uses an FDA-approved Pico laser. I'm pretty sure he claimed the Q-switch lasers he used would yield the same result. The difference is I'd have to spend about $30k on removing my medium size tattoo, because it takes too many treatments to remove! Fewer treatments means less cost. Also, ask if they have an album of before and after photos. Adam didn't have one. But he takes a photo before each treatment. I feel knowledge is power, and that's what I'm going to do the next time I laser my tattoo. read more

I went to Luminesse for three laser tattoo removal sessions using a Groupon. I liked Adam the technician and the facility was clean. My tattoo included both black and color components. At the end of the three sessions the black had faded but the color looked the same. Adam advised that color was just hardest to remove and would take some time. After the Groupon's sessions were used up I decided to check out other facilities to see if they could continue the job because I did not think it was worth it to pay full price at Luminesse when I could finish up elsewhere for less. Upon meeting with other salons I realized that the laser I need for my color work is called a PicoSure laser. (Another reviewer below also mentioned it and I now feel she is right.) If you do a simple Google search of PicoSure vs. Q Switch lasers you can see that the PicoSure is a better, newer laser and may be necessary to remove colored tattoos. Mine has tons of green so that is why I think that I probably could have gone to Luminesse for another 50 years and never gotten it completely removed. I understand it would not be in their best interest financially to tell patients that but it would be more ethical. TLDR: If you have a black tattoo Luminesse would not be a bad choice but I would not use them for any tattoo removal involving a tattoo with color. read more

I was interested in laser hair removal for quite some time, and saw ads everywhere for packages, different types of machines - it was dizzying. After doing some research, I decided to try Luminesse. When I saw the address I was somewhat concerned about parking (it's on Amboy Road across the street from Top Tomato.) But, there is a huge lot in the back, so no problem there. The salon is spotless - very, very important! I've had treatments by Michelle and Jamie. Michelle explained the process completely and didn't "hard sell" me on any packages. She is professional and I am very happy with the results. So much so, that I can see becoming "addicted" and getting ready to ditch waxing. I bought a Groupon for a body wrap and two facials. Jamie was great. The body wrap is an interesting experience, as you are basically wrapped up in heat and "sweating out the toxins." While that was happening, she did a facial which distracted me from the heat. I came out feeling refreshed and my skin felt fresh.
