At prior dentist's office, I found myself physically clenching as they cleaned my teeth. Last week, I went to Aqua Dental for a new client assessment and cleaning, and - dare I say it - I am ALMOST looking forward to my next appointment. My first impressions of Aqua Dental were how thorough and kind they were. They explained everything to me, and I learnt so many things. I came back home and found myself passing along my newfound knowledge to my husband. The biggest bonus of all, my teeth have never felt so clean! To this day, I'm still rubbing my tongue along my teeth in awe. The dentist who did my cleaning is a perfectionist in his trade. I wasn't shamed for any of my bad dental habits (not flossing, not wearing my retainer), which helps reduce my anxiety for future appointments. I'm SO glad that I switched to Aqua Dental! I hope to take advantage of their comfort menu during my next visit, which includes things such as massage chairs, heated towels, weighted blankets. Don't be deterred by their long wait. When I submitted my request last month to become a new client, my appointment couldn't be scheduled until August 2023(!!). Luckily I was able to snag a cancellation, and got appointments last week instead.

Rude and Incompetent Front Desk Staff I had an awful…read moreexperience with the front desk at Queensbury Dental Centre, which used to be the dental office my entire family visited for over 10 years. We all stopped going once the front desk staff changed, but my mom continued. After this recent experience, she won't be returning either. I called on November 11 and 12, 2024, to book an appointment for my mom on December 9, 2024, at 8:45 AM. When she arrived for the appointment, she was told there was no record of it. When I called to address the issue, the front desk staff member was incredibly rude and aggressive. Instead of taking responsibility for their mistake, they threatened to hang up on me. When I asked to speak with the manager, the staff member claimed the manager was sitting beside her and had heard the entire conversation. I told them it was good the manager was listening, as it clearly highlighted their incompetence in failing to properly schedule the appointment I had booked over the phone. It's truly disappointing to see how far this office has fallen in terms of professionalism and service since the front desk staff changed. Their rudeness and lack of accountability have driven away loyal patients, including my entire family. I cannot recommend Queensbury Dental Centre until they make significant changes to their front desk team.

I had a tooth that needed to be pulled out. On the day of my visit, Dr. Vo claimed he would try to…read moresave the tooth instead of extracting it. He worked on the tooth over two hours during which he drilled inside and outside of the tooth, even removing the root. There didn't seem to be anything left but the shell of the tooth. He said I'd have to wait a couple of months to allow the tooth to heal and become stronger. During this procedure, he stopped drilling, had an assistant open my mouth with tongs so that Dr. Vo could take pictures of his work. The assistant stretched my mouth so wide my lips tore in several places. On top of that, she dug the tongs so hard against my gums I was screaming in pain. Dr. Vo did nothing but asked what was wrong. The ass't didn't release the tongs and I couldn't speak to tell Dr. Vo why I was in pain. He just continued to take photos then continued drilling. I wrote him a letter which should have arrived in his office before my next visit 2 weeks later. I live in Barrhaven which only would have taken 5 days at most. He claimed he had not yet received my letter. That afternoon, his office called, said they received the letter and wanted to know the name of the assistant. He did absolutely nothing, never apologized. He charged me $1512 for working on that tooth. I decided to get a second opinion from another dentist who told me that tooth was completely unsaveable! Go somewhere else or you will end up spending a lot of money for nothing. There are more honest, caring dentists elsewhere.

So you let me just walk out without paying you, and now you rudely (yes VERY rudely) call me to tell me I have to bring in my receipt?! They submitted my receipt themselves to my health insurance provider (who reimbursed me) while I was still in the office. I don't know who's doing the books over at Barrhaven South Dentistry - but I'm glad I didn't pay cash because I'd be paying twice. The dentist Dr. Amlani is knowledgeable, professional and provides great patient care. The clinic itself is clean and welcoming. I particularly like that this dental clinic bills my insurance company directly on my behalf, so that I don't have to do it. I still pay upfront (yay for collecting credit card points), but then a few days later the insurance claim money comes through. This clinic is located in a convenient location in Barrhaven Town Centre nearby grocery stores, restaurants and other shopping. This makes it easy to pair a dental appointment with getting other errands done before or after. The clinic offers evening and weekend appointments, which is also convenient for those who work standard office hours.

In addition, they have been very accommodating in allowing me to change my appointments without charging me the usual fee for doing so. If you have insurance, they are very efficient in setting up the claim process so it is done automatically for you. They seem a little bit higher on the pricing for service, however as in many cases, it seems you get what you pay for here. This place is always busy, giving another indication that they provide quality service, and they seem to always accommodate taking new patients.

Thanks to some not so gentle encouragement from my fiancee I finally agreed to go to her dentist after she explained how non-judgy they are here and she was 100% correct! I have seen both Dr. Bhargava and Dr. Telang here and they are both incredibly friendly (and non-judgmental) about your teeth! Dr. Telang explained in great detail all of the stats she was discussing with the hygenist as well as explaining in easy terms what you need to do. The hygenists here are also very friendly and gentle, despite needing to use many of the little hooks I had very little discomfort or pain! One final bonus is that they will deal directly with insurance if you have it, eliminating the hassle of having to deal with insurance companies yourself!

I have had Dr. Haeri all these years. When I first went to see her I was a nervous wreck. I was terrified of Dentists and she made me feel so at ease. They staff is courteous and polite and always greet you with a friendly smile. They make me feel like a friend not just a person coming for dental work. It was written on my chart and then referred me to Argyle Associates to get my fillings done. They would give me IV Sedation which is not covered by ODSP. I refused to be gypped out of a lot money which I don't have. The dentist was not hearing me about the ODSP or mild Asthma. She said we could try to do the fillings without Nitrious Oxide . I had a gagging reflex problem through no fault of mine. The dentist decided to refer me to get my fillings done at the Civic. Argyles associates are money grabbers toward ODSP clients. Overall the care I got from the hygienist was wonderful. The reception staff are great!
