Now, you'd think we would prefer the hand-holding type of dentist in this situation, and in the past that's what we've sought. Well, that hasn't always worked out. Now that we've both had some terrible issues (including problems caused by previous dentists) fixed by Dr Polonsky we both agree she's a godsend. Dr Polonsky is honest and direct without being patronising or judgmental. She is 100% focused on her work, and I trust her - which has resulted in my mother and I becoming so much more confident in addressing dental issues. Dr Polonsky is sympathetic and understanding, but when it's time to get the work done she's focused on getting things done right. Her assistant (Mimi) takes care of the bedside manner/comforting part of the treatment which works GREAT. So far, this clinic has provided me with the only dental experience I've ever had that wasn't followed by complications.

The receptionist is positively fabulous. She has a positive attitude, always greets me with a smile, and is a whiz with insurance processing. Dr. Kassis is an excellent dentist--she is frank and understanding. She is genuinely concerned about her patients' well being and is very professional. I found that Dr. Kassis and her team of dental assistants and hygienists to be knowledgeable, understanding, and gentle with all those annoying poking tools. I did not feel rushed; if I needed a break to rest my mouth they were happy to accommodate. What's really great about the staff at Dr. Kassis' office is they always know who you are and make you feel welcome. Plus I always leave with free floss, mini toothpaste, and a toothbrush--who doesn't love free stuff!

When going back to visit, I was referred to an oral surgeon but the centre did not want to pay for it as they had "just given me a free consultation". Well that consultation was only to investigate the complications of their surgery; a proper response would have been to pay for the repairs. Bottom line: complications happen, but good businesses take responsibility for them.

A bridge Dr. Carys designed a few years ago is holding strong, and a recent dental implant (done by Dr. Carys in coordination with Argyle and Associates) is indistinguishable from my natural teeth. Other dentists have been a disaster. Dr. Walters had solutions to all of my problems and the training and technology to make it happen. Dr Walters had a simple modern appliance for my teeth grinding, my previous dentists wanted to sell me a complicated 'old' style appliance. His staff is also friendly and very professional. His dental assistant seemed able to read his mind as they worked on my big mouth. The ambiance of the office is conducive to relaxation.
