Everyone in the office is so friendly yet professional, and they all seem to legitimately love their job. So my regular dentist is actually in Toronto (my hometown) even though I moved away over a decade ago. I still made my twice a year trip to see him, because my whole family and I have been seeing him since I was a child, and he is great. However, sometimes emergencies happen and you need to see a dentist in a more timely manner than is possible with a dentist in a different city. This is how I met Dr. Dan. A while back (pre-pandemic) I was struck in the face during one of my martial arts classes (my reaction time was a bit too slow, I guess) and immediately had pain in one of my teeth. There was no bleeding and it didn't seem loose, but I wanted to see a dentist ASAP. Dr. Dan is actually my husband's dentist, so he e-mailed Dr Dan, since it was after hours, explaining the situation. Dr. Dan responded almost immediately, suggesting that I take some Ibuprofen to minimize inflammation and his office will call me in the morning with an appointment time. As promised, Shane called me in the morning and I saw Dr. Dan later that afternoon. Dr. Dan was excellent, explaining everything he was doing along the way. He was even sympathetic to my situation, lol. He examined me and determined that I had no permanent damage to my tooth. Never did he pressure me to become one of his regular patients, and he was very understanding as to why I still trekked to Toronto to see my dentist. He said he was happy to be there for me for emergencies. I ended up also getting a customized mouth guard through Dr. Dan after the incident. The price was very reasonable and the fit is so much better than those generic "boil and bite" ones that you get at sports stores. I was seen by the dental hygienists for the mouth guard and they were great too. Fast forward to one year into the Covid-19 Pandemic (and 13 months since my last dental cleaning), it didn't make sense to travel to Toronto for a dental appointment, so I called Westboro Dental Station. Dr. Dan wasn't available, but Dr. Emma Wong was, so I became one of her patients. She was also great. Very thorough and patient. As much as I like my dentist in Toronto, the convenience of being able to walk to my dental appointments can't be beat. I'm hoping my Toronto dentist understands. Westboro Dental Station is, you guessed it, in Westboro, so the parking situation is not great. There is street parking if you can find it or a paid parking lot nearby. Luckily for me, I don't need to worry about parking.

I've always been leery about finding a dentist since you really get the impression that some of them don't really care and are just there to "extract" (Get it? HA!) as much money from at each visit. I settled on Westboro Station Dental after doing some research and finding very good reviews about the clinic and Dr. Dan. I went in as a new patient and Dr. Dan and his staff did a great job. They did a thorough examination and Dr. Dan also took the time to explain and show me exactly the state of my teeth and what needed to be done to correct some sensitivity I was having with one tooth. I also had a cleaning during this initial visit and was very pleased: very thorough and no discomfort. Definitely recommended.

The hygienists and dentists are very knowledgeable and do well to explain things. They're friendly, happy and social people. Plus side, they have TVs in the ceiling. Watching Mister Bean does wonders for distraction. ;) Highly recommend, which is saying A LOT considering my strong aversion to dentists!

I am disabled, I was just taking a break from it to catch my breath. I was more than six feet away from everyone. The REST of the staff were nice and pleasant again so thank you.. It was just this one person who was helping with the glasses part... ‍ you're not doing your customers ANY favours having staff like that.

I found myself on ODSP and thought no dentist will take care of me. I had recently been very sick and was spending a lot of time getting teeth removed by a dental surgeon. Needless to say I was becoming slightly depressed and less hopeful. I was not smiling like I used to, plus I was becoming quite self conscious. I finally gave up fighting all these uncommon feelings by telling myself to quit acting so pitiful and get my behind in gear to find a proper dentist that was approved by ODSP. A friend of mine who knew that I was looking for a special dentist referred me to a place on Carling Ave. that, as she said, was not too far from you. I said to her that even if I had to go to the other side of the city I would find a way!! She told me the address, 2199 Carling Ave.and his name was Dr. P.V. Nguyen. Had a rough time pronounceing his name but when I met the man he was way more than what I expected!! Here I was, with my walker for spinal issues, standing in this new dentist's office which is very open & airy talking with a fascinating woman who said that I would be taken care of shortly. WOW!! I thought...so far so good! He offered me an incredible dental chair that when I sat in it I felt like it was like nothing I have ever felt before! Special to say the least! I even began to wonder if this cost extra! I couldn't believe my luck, he also gave me some of that old laughing gas(nitrous oxide). Well that was the first day of something special for me... going back to this dentist has become an easy chore every time I return. Thanks to the Woodroffe Dental Care Center I am now a regular at this Dentist!!

In my last appointment the hygienist was scrapping my teeth very abrasive after I told her about my teeth sensivity. She insisted and continued. She made my gum bleed multiple times because it "had to be done". I told her I cannot continue and she put a note on my file to have freezing done to scrape more tar off for "next time", after I told her I do not like needles. She was awful. Last year they took 8 x-rays of my teeth which was extremelly unnecessarily and insurance only covered a portion. Upon this same visit hygienist told me my x ray was due again and I told her no and she asked why, why? Because they took 4 extra photos last time to try to scam $ and everyone knows you don't need teeth x rays every year for normal regular teeth. The place is so sketch. Don't go there.

I have been receiving dental care from Dr Allison McKay and her colleagues for well over 20 years…read more Dr McKay has a cheerful and positive demeanour and is a genuinely kind person. She has looked after my fillings including a cosmetic filling, root canals and crowns, a bridge, and made me teeth whitening trays over the years. She is a very patient, thorough clinician; she explains exactly what she is doing whether it be a crown installation or an oral exam. Every time I see the hygienist , Dr McKay examines me to ensure my teeth, jaws and soft tissue are all healthy! Tara, who manages the front desk is always very helpful with scheduling, insurance claims and other documents. Appointments times are well spaced, as I never have to wait very long, if at all. The hygienists working in Dr McKay's office are very gentle and considerate--I never worry about being uncomfortable under their care. I highly recommend Dr Allison McKay and her team!
